For a very long time there was no mention from the developers of any upcoming updates or news about the development, but I found a post on the forum left by the developer that mentions some updates scheduled for early January, I hope it will budge.

543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 09, 2023, 10:59:17 AM
I am still building my long term crypto portfolio and I've add almost all available crypto genres to my wallet including

Play to Earn
Layer 0, 1, 2
A.I Projects
Move to Earn
Storage & Data etc

But I have not add any gambling token to my list at all, I went on coin market cap and I saw many gambling tokens, I never knew they are that much in number. My questions is

Is there any reason to add gambling tokens to my crypto portfolio? What drives their value? Do they appreciate in value just like other altcoins whenever we are in a bull market?

If you are in my shoe right now, what gambling token do you think you can take a risk on and add to your crypto portfolio and why?

You can easily look at gambling tokens on coinmarketcap and evaluate their potential for your investment opportunities yourself, there are quite a lot of them you can choose from the 58 tokens presented on cmc:

545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone mining on RTX4090 already on: January 09, 2023, 09:59:14 AM

Do you check the total consumption of the computer from the wall? I think my mining farm of 5 Rx 5600 consumes less electricity.
You are doing very well, because you have one video card. When you build a mining farm of 5 such video cards, you will understand what mining on hot video cards is.

Yeah that 71 degree Celsius doesn't look that well especially if it is on an open air rig with just one video card. The fans are low at 58% but I think such a powerful card like the 4090 should be built in a perfect quality so I would normally increase the fan speed to at  least 70-75% or at least until the temperature goes to less than 67 degree Celsius.

The profitability if it is only roughly 2600 Satoshi daily or 78000 monthly it is totally not worth mining at that energy power consumption which is near 0.5 Kw and it is 12 Kw daily, not worthy for me,even though I am a partisan of mining at a loss because it is usually in such time that money are made.
I don't have an RTX4090 video card, but if you look at the experience of using the RTX3090, most of the video cards used low-quality thermal pads, and the miners had to change them after 6-12 months. For such video cards, open cases are not used due to overheating problems.

I also have an rtx 3080ti card and can confirm that it has a much higher thermal heating compared to the rtx 4090, which is colder and does not cause problems being in a closed case, besides, after purchasing a cable to connect additional power to Gigabyte Aorus 12vhpwr 16Pin for my power supply, I can not worry about possible problems with him.

The $BCB token is now tracked by etherscan, users can see the value of their token in real time and the price of tokens in the wallet is displayed, for example MetaMask.

But he just expresses what he considers profitable and this is natural, but by the product he quite possibly meant the finished product meaning bitcoin, but at the same time it can also be considered a commodity because it does not have a materialized measure as simple goods.

and now you are trying to re-define the meaning of commodity..
something thats not set as a finalised product.. is called a prototype, an alpha/beta test..

before 2014 bitcoin was just a product/asset (2009-2014 property law)
after 2014, before 2017 bitcoin was an asset currency, (2014-2017 currency law)
after 2017 (but ratified 2022*) bitcoin is a commodity(2021 commodity law)

* though some regulators still wish to debate it due to lack of any real functional end product made beneath bitcoin that is considered a finalised ready-to-market good

commodities are a base thing. that is used to produce other things. its as simple as that
(i personally prefer if the 2009-2014 category were to have continued, but oh well)

Well, actually, Sailor, speaking about the product in relation to bitcoin, means that he is not a share and considers bitcoin as a commodity that is traded on exchanges through futures contracts, for example, the SEC and the CFTC hold the same opinion and found a link to their verdict:

I tried to open your site, but the response time was a bit high and took some time to load, yet half the page was loaded, and the error prompted 'wbetwidget.com refused to connect.' I will check this site at some later time. However, I suggest you buy a copper membership for better graphical visualization of this site on this forum.

Well, the site is obviously blocked in certain regions and this can be checked using a vpn, but it still retains relative functionality, I just said earlier that it is aimed at a Chinese audience.

The developer is working hard on launching a decentralized sports betting platform that will soon go online, it will be available without registration and KYC and will become available to more users.

In any case, as for the Aleo token, the CPU requirements are very high during its extraction, and with such a load, for example, Aleo mining is repulsive for me, but this release significantly reduces the load on the CPU and it looks more attractive.

Michael Saylor, during the Pacific Bitcoin Conference on November 11, 2022 (not entirely new, but relevant, as it seems to me, Saylor's speech), spoke on possible developments in the crypto market, ways of development and formation of bitcoin, also briefly spoke about his experience and possible actions of regulators regarding crypto assets and the goals and philosophy of bitcoin.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1NSTkyiNO0

in first 10 mins he tries to say a commodity is an asset without issuer

completely wrong
a commodity is a raw item used to create other produce

wheat=bread
beef=burgers
oil=car fuel

bitcoin became a commodity in 2017 when it allowed locking value to create sub network pegged iou token/value
ethereum with its erc-20 is a commodity example too
...

But he just expresses what he considers profitable and this is natural, but by the product he quite possibly meant the finished product meaning bitcoin, but at the same time it can also be considered a commodity because it does not have a materialized measure as simple goods.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: January 08, 2023, 05:21:15 PM
We are happy to announce the institution of a new community Dogecoin Core development fund, managed by existing core developers and Dogecoin Foundation board director signatories, along with transparency blog posts forthcoming for all expenditures and developments. The Dogecoin Foundation has taken the step of moving 5,000,000 Dogecoin to the development fund, with the intent that this will be allocated to Dogecoin Core, the development of which is critical and to the benefit of the Dogecoin ecosystem.
https://foundation.dogecoin.com/announcements/2022-12-31-corefund/

This event has a weird backstory. I've been following it on Twitter. Early last year, two of the signatories of a Dogecoin Core developer tipjar multisig wallet moved 5 million DOGE into a wallet that belongs to the Dogecoin Foundation. These two signatories are also members of the Dogecoin Foundation. This caused some controversy among Dogecoin Core developers (and then the larger community) as the funds were moved not in accordance with the usual protocol, and to be spent on non-Core related matters.

Fast forward nearly a year later: the Foundation has returned the funds to Core developers but framed it in such a way as it appears to be a gift (see the quoted text above).

I don't really know what the Foundation is doing to help Dogecoin -- they seem to be creating more problems than they are solving.

We can make any assumptions about what kind of preludes there were before what happened, but I still hope that this will somehow move and help move forward, otherwise only hope for Musk's tweets, but this is also a one-time surge.

The main account of Shib as well as the account of the developers of Shibarium @ShibariumNet on twitter seems to hint at the possible imminent launch of the beta version of Shibarium and confirms that Bone is the main token of the gas fee on the network and that Shib will have a burning mechanism for each transaction.

Update regarding the Bkex exchange, the Aidi Finance team says that it will no longer provide liquidity to the Bkex exchange and recommends that all holders who have tokens on the Bkex platform create and withdraw funds to a wallet that is not associated with storage, such as MetaMask or Trust wallet.

556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: January 07, 2023, 12:37:33 PM
Guillermo Contreras, CEO of DitoBanx shares the plans that El Salvador plans for 2023 in the field of further development of infrastructure related to the spread of bitcoin in the country.

So it is planned to focus on education for this purpose, the Ministry of Education of El Salvador plans to introduce a special module that includes updated content, such as cryptocurrencies and electronic wallets, which will help the inclusion of bitcoin in financial literacy programs. It is also planned that a new law on the issue of digital assets will be adopted this year.
Also, in his opinion, the adoption of bitcoin as a means of payment allowed four million Salvadorans to protect their funds with the help of digital wallets.

SBF apparently chose the tactics of delaying the trial and the possibility of obtaining more detailed information from the prosecution from the prosecution, in fact, apparently this was his refusal to admit his guilt on the eight charges brought, the trial date is scheduled for October 2, 2023.

Given that the use of the custodians' wallet funds is intended exclusively for Doge core developers, and involves the distribution of 500,000 Doge among the participants of the updated Dogecoin Core releases, this may significantly affect the intensity of developers and we may see more development news in the future.

So far, all this has not been determined by specific dates and cost, except that presumably the start of sales is scheduled for April 2023 and the price according to some data will be $1000 for 1gh, at least that's what they say on their forum.
