I wondered with all the new ASIC scripts coming out. Is based off the Gridseed chip.

China Central bank new policy. forbidden commercial bank open channel for market: BTCC, Huobi, okcoin ,etc. it means we cannot have market to buy and sell btc. only by personal .
the dead line is Apl 15.
be careful.

Thanks asiabtc. With new Central Bank policy. How would you be able to exchange money to RMB? or would you have to do it in US dollars? If you don't me asking

Also on the note of potato. I totally agree. I love that story.

I believe China is using this policy as counteracting balance against the West. let face it, BTC is from the West. I believe the Chinese government wants to counteract its flow of fiat currency out of the country especially to places in the EU and USA plus Canada. My belief has always been that BTC was use to counteract the trade policy. I believe Satoshi is someone within the US government. If this was formed in the Asia Pacific. I believe that Big Banks and there lobbyist would of crushed the opposition by giving campaign contribution to congressman and senators. BTC would of been long gone.
The fact is the US dollar and Euro are still viewed as "preferred" currencies of the world. I am not saying RMB is not a wanted currency. A lot of people feel comfortable that there money is in USD or EURO.

With China's one sided trade policies and pegging the RMB to USD. Hence its hard for us in the USA and EU to sell goods to China. Let not forget Canada too

nice dude. How long does your computer last before you have to restart it?
24  Economy / Economics / Re: China Banning BTC. Any thoughts for the soul especially the mind? on: March 29, 2014, 08:03:03 PM
I agree. BTC IS A GIFT TO THE WORLD. The only reason top investors and bankers are against is the potential threat of social dynamic changes of value.

I have faith in BTC. It would be better for the rest of us if the chinese stop paying with the price of BTC out speculation. I have feeling someone in China is going to become really really really rich from speculation. It does not take much to get someone to write a fake rumor in exchange for incentives.

Just want to get everyone input once again on the Chinese rumor fiasco of banning BTC. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks guys

Bill Gates brought MS DOS for 10,000 USD so we can't expect too much from windows lol. The foundation cost 10k. lol

U should not be using windows for mining!! use linux instead its a lot more stable!!

I agree windows is joke. Although not tech savvy with Linux. How easy is the install for BFLs or Avalon boards?
29  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: NEW BFL RACK MOUNT MINER (230GH/S) - LOL on: March 23, 2014, 05:30:41 AM
I find BFL expensive.

I find Humanity cheap.

The good thing about BFL is that they fix my miner fast when it broke. BFL actually has decent customer service. I would call them 10-11AM EST in the morning. Its the best time to call them.

I have an older eee netbook PC with an Atom processor running my own install of Debian on it. It currently has over 50 USB devices plugged in. This includes a new Gridseed 5 chip I just purchased, 6 Chilis, 6 Jalapenos, and a bank of USB block erupters. It also runs stratum proxy for a bank of 10 blades. I think I bought the thing 3 years ago as a refurbished model on Newegg for $150 or so.

I have a raspberry PI, but it wasn't able to handle the load, so I dug this out and it has turned out to be the perfect solution. Every time the power has gone out it has remained powered up from its battery and just waiting for the devices to re-power.

with your old eee netbook PC. What was your results with Windows if you don't mind me asking. how easy was the install?
31  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 1 TH/S dragon miner. Has anyone tried it more than 24 hours? on: March 23, 2014, 01:56:25 AM
The IP should be displayed on lcd on the front of the miner.
Enter the ip address in your browser.
This should bring up the web interface.

Change the network information and click the green button.
Change the pool information and click the red button.

I had to clicked the buttons a couple of times to get it to take.

I would not trust any pre-installed software. decoding compiled code could yield the discovery that every 1 out of 100th has went to some strange stratum you did not enter.... hmmmm.

it's why I'd run an ip sniffer in front of it or just a firewall that only permits connections to know sources. I found a bunch of odd connections even on my gridseeds that I blocked.

Hey Sudoku,

Can you connect The ethernet cable right into a laptop? Then run a wifi off it from your laptop  (Windows 8.1 Ultrabook)? The problem is I have verizon wireless modem. Those things are crappy and garbage. I was wondering if the miner can run wifi as hotspot. If I buy wireless hub. Thanks
32  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: NEW BFL RACK MOUNT MINER (230GH/S) - LOL on: March 21, 2014, 06:01:14 PM
BFL just released the 230GH/s BTC Rackmount Miner.... FOR $4255
Am I crazy or have I seen this product on their website before?

Anyways... If you do the math, it takes over 322 Days JUST TO BREAK EVEN!

Do they think we can't do math? This is hilarious.
I really feel sorry for anyone who purchases this.

Actually it will never break even because it cost more to run than what it mines.....

So unless network stop growing.... then sure your 322days is correct.

I agree you probably can get a steal for BFL rigs on eBay for a lot less what they are selling them for. In numbers there is power.

Would this be able to support 30 or more Gridseeds?
34  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Gridseed and BFGminer. Easy setup compare to CGminer on: March 21, 2014, 05:57:09 PM
Hi everyone,

I am actually really interested on Gridseed. Has anyone tested Gridseed out on BFGminer? If so, how easy is it to use on BFGminer? If you could give a simple run down that would be great.

I can't add anymore BTC miners it would be too much load for my home. So would love to run a couple Gridseeds.

I have, I am running one on an RPi with BFG that I compiled from Nwoolls gridseed fork. It is a bit more difficult than most mining setups, but if are comfortable with running your miners by command line you shouldn't have any major issues. Once you've got it all setup with the correct flags and written a config file for both BTC and LTC, then mining is pretty easy, but there was a fair amount of trial and error that went into it

Thanks DocGonzzo. I manually enter command lines. I am planning instead of the RPi, I am going to buy a notebook dedicated to mining. Would the install be much easier. I am interested in getting Litecoins. I am already running a crazy BTC rig that equals 30 BFLs so I have no more amps left. I am basically doing 9k worth of watts per hour. I was looking at the Gridseed.

I believe its like 1,500$ on ebay or something lol. It cheaper to buy from ebay than BFL lol. Although if you get free power or really cheap power like the people in Washington state. I believe its .02 cents KwH. Its worth the buy of 230 rack.

I wouldn't go that far.  For the price of one of these from BFL direct, it's the cost of 1.4 TH/s or 7 Antminer S1's or 1.2 TH/s of 1 Antminer S2 and 1 Antminer S1!!!   Shocked Shocked

Or buying 7.157 BTC directly....just mind boggling.

The BFL is great for noobs not to hurt themselves or scream all over the forum for help. Antminer S1 is definitely good stuff. I wish it was USB connection instead of IP address.

Why do you say that?  You can access the Antminer through a browser or Putty without the need for a host computer.  Why would you want a USB connection?  That's one of the great things about the Antminer, is it's truly standalone.  No need for host computer, no Raspberry Pi's...just plug, configure, and mine.

The problem with super noobs. They have no clue what to do. Just want the plug and play experience. Antminer is definitely good stuff. But a noob will see it as a lot of work.

With BFL Windows auto recognizes it. If you decide to use BFL software. The setup for BFL is for monkeys. You won't spend more than 3 minutes.

Antminer is awesome product. If your dealing with a super noob. Its going to be a lot of questions or bitching. 1 of the 2.

Thanks Sudoku. This is what I am talking about. Does 1T dragon come with two 650w PSU or is it 1 1000w PSU. If the simplicity is as easy this. I got to buy one.

+1 to Sudoku
