121  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [850 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: February 19, 2014, 02:59:57 AM
Slush's pool has the best pay out compare to the other pools out there. Every pool has there issues. I run 1.8 TH/S system and Slush has given me the best results so far. I really like all pools. Slush has been my number #1 favorite.
122  Economy / Goods / Re: About to open a storefront that will sell goods with crypto and ALT coins on: February 18, 2014, 10:45:46 AM
My thinking is selling items that basic items that everyone needs to get. I can get them in large quantities from authorized distributors. For example everyone needs to get base nutrients for gardening. While everyone needs to get SSDs or HD drives or processors. I am close to George Washington Bridge 5 to 10 minutes away from New York City. Anyone needs specific item or items I will order directly from manufacturer or distributor. Giving them a discount if BTC is involved.

The biggest change up is offering BTCs in my area. Also items that are directly from the manufacturer with the option that you can order items at my store and have it delivered by Amazon. Making the customers life easy.

Oh yeah I want to be the first one in town to accept Crypto currencies. I plan to make a huge sign for BTC. I am looking at a store front that close to Turnpike where everyone has to take to get onto the bridge. We have about the very least 1000 cars pass by it everyday in 30 minutes to hour. I am going to make the sign light up like a christmas tree.

I plan to accept ALT currencies too. Although the ones with very very very low value like 1 coin equals .50 USD. I would charge a premium it due to flux of the markets.

I want to the person who passes by to go to work every morning to see that sign. I planning to put it in Red like McDonalds sign so you can't miss it. Also light it up like a Christmas Tree.

I want to hold meet ups at my shop for BTC bi-weekly. So to get more people involved. Loving crypto currency.
123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My bitcoin price prediction from 2/17/2014 to 2/28/2014 on: February 18, 2014, 10:28:51 AM
At this point I am longing the position in BTC. I believe the value of BTC is well around the 800$ mark. Until all the news blows over like the recent SLR 2.0 issue, Mt.Gox scandal, Russia banning BTC, and transaction malleability issues. I believe the recovery will definitely start by the end of this month. The price should hover around 700$ very least.

A lot good news have come out like Thailand reinstating BTC trading, but they are not big enough country to make a clout unfortunately. I am banking on once BTC becomes stable as USD,RMB and EU. We'll see the Chinese jumping back in the market. I believe BTC biggest issues are the swings. Once China and Russia change there minds about BTC. BTC will be worth well over 1500$ per coin.

At this point is making BTC stable enough for merchants to do everyday trade with it. Once that materializes. We'll see countries lifting the ban. I believe if more and more merchants/services take it. BTC value will stabilize. Then countries like China and Russia will have no choice but lift there bans and sanction. Let face it, no country want to be the last kid to the candy shop especially when it involves money.

The only reason why BTC is ban in China and Russia is because its threat to there banking industry. 45$ wire transfer to 35$ bank overdraft fees. That billions of dollars for a country/banking with ease.

Let me know what you think? Its my opinion merely.
124  Economy / Goods / About to open a storefront that will sell goods with crypto and ALT coins on: February 18, 2014, 10:11:47 AM
Hi everyone,

I want to get everyone take on this. I am planning to open up a store that will enable a customer to purchase items with any crypto currency. This store will be a physical location. Here are ideas I want to run through with bitcoin community.

I plan to sell physical goods like

Home and Gardening Items. Organic Nutrients Fertilizers
Clothing (T-Shirts Hanes, Fruit of Loom and so on)
Electronic Hardware equipment like SSD drives USB ports and other items.

Any online orders I will have a company like Amazon fulfill all the orders. So anyone can get there stuff in jiffy. You know its packed right and insured.

I also want to offer services like

exchanging bitcoin for ALT currencies
or
exchanging ALT currencies for BTC

I was thinking of getting the money transmitter laws in my states is to offer hashing power on exchange like CEX.IO. Then trade me the GHS for BTC.  I just can't afford a money transmitter license. I believe my state wants some crazy 100k surely bond with 1000$ app that non refundable. I believe MSB laws are just a big racket.

Also plan to have bi-weekly meet ups that discuss BTCs. Refreshments and everything is on the house.

Just want to get some feedback on it.

Also plan to have a huge sign hanging saying BTC Accepted) I was looking at a shop that right near a major highway where 1,000 cars pass an hour.

I just never understood Window OS. You pay them like what 180$ for there software. Windows last for what 3-5 days at most without crashing. While Linux and Unix last for 30 days without a restart.

Thanks guys. Any new perks to the new upgrade. Always wonder. You know how windows is. every time you upgrade something goes wrong.

128  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MTGOX sued by COINLAB for $75 million on: February 17, 2014, 07:21:54 AM
We have to make Bitcoin too big to fail. The fact is the only reason that banks, brokerage firms, and financial firms are getting away with crime, because they are "TOO BIG TO FAIL". Anyone that employees or grows to point where there is no return. They have power. Lady Justice in the United States doesn't apply to wealthy or Big Business. Even on a smaller scale. If we look at it. Anyone who can afford a private attorney as oppose to Public Defender can get more of break and penalties aren't harsh. A friend of mine who is CO at jail. Tells me that the ones that end up in jail are the ones with free attorneys.

Its really sad that freedom has a dollar value. Its the fact of life. HSBC, Chase, and all the big banks out there probably launder money which I am really not surprised. Its big business. They look at it as loss if they caught. So what? They made 10 billion and got fined 1 billion. Its still a good day at the workplace. Big Business just only has to say we need to pull jobs because the business conditions aren't right. Then that elected official ends up jobless. D.C. are full of lobbyists with capital and power. They offer incentives or they will muscle you out of office. It much easier to take the incentives.

The only way Bitcoin has a chance is its community and followers stay loyal. Even if the tides do turn. Loyalty is never easy. Its a long road full of pain. Like the phoenix rises from the ashes. It never will die as long as we believe.
Look at our history. During the American Revolution our shots of winning the revolution was long shot. Although the human experience to preserve in times of darkest is something that no one can take away. Hence our victory.

I feel big banks, the governments, and even people who hate bitcoin can say anything they want. For us who believe in bitcoin, we have to stay strong. I know one day that banks, governments, and others will have to play ball with crypto. We are on path of no return. Bitcoin will help bring back the middle class and create jobs. A good example is the faulty PSUs that butterfly labs sold. How many people had to buy new ATX power supplies. How many new Anker USB hubs were brought? Lets face it, mining is bit of energy waster, but in retrospect, how many new people that electric company has to hire to support demand.

I will always be bitcoin believer and God Bless Cryptocurrencies.
129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Alt Coin is best to invest right now? on: February 16, 2014, 05:16:02 PM
Its really hard to say. ALT coins go up and down every couple of minutes. I would definitely look at coinwarz.com.

Good source of indication of the directions of your coin going.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / bitcoin QT wallet upgrade on: February 16, 2014, 04:45:16 PM
Hi everyone,

I have a quick question. If I upgrade my QT wallet from 0.8.5 to the newest version. Can I just directly upgrade it? without backing up? Will my bitcoins show after the upgrade. The reason I ask its better to be safe than sorry when upgrading. Got burned in other coins when I decide to do an upgrade on the QT wallet? Thanks
131  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who is buying at Mtgox on: February 14, 2014, 12:28:06 PM
The problem with Gox is that they single handedly destroy bitcoin rep within a week which is very disheartening. The CEO at Gox blames on bitcoin protocol. I wish Satoshi Nakamoto was back to kick him back to stone age for what he did the last week. I believe if community members keep believing in the Bit. We should not have a problem if this should happen again. Everyone knows that Gox was plague with problems in the beginning.
