1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 04, 2014, 01:14:07 PM
Good initiative by the community. But fail on 2 things - 1) Self moderated thread and 2) Asiacoin name brand

Self moderated threads are always a no no and will automatically be perceived as a scam.

These devs can delete any comment they like. Total censorship of anything they like.

Someone finds out this coin is a scam and posts? DELETED

Someone puts out a rational argument that the OP don't like? DELETED

Sorry but almost all coins with self moderated threads are DOOMED TO FAIL.

Second fail: Sticking with Asiacoin name brand. The brand is tainted, as others have pointed out, we might as well go with a new coin name. We don't want to scare away investors in the future do we?

So to succeed and have my support- a) start a new poll after taking in coin name suggestions and b) don't be stupid and have a self moderated thread and get accused for needless censorship. If your coin is successful, it's bound to have haters. Learn to deal with it.

So Name is going to be changed (if poll say so). And yes there should not a possibility to delete unwanted posts. I agree.
1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 04, 2014, 12:55:55 PM
Dont you think we should rename this coin to something else, since asiacoin dös have a bitter taste now and get a new logo ?

Community coin or whatever?

damn why do many of you not even know that counting begins with ZERO/NULL in IT.

block nr. 1 is the first real block as block Nr. 0 = genesis block.

so like i said. AND I SAID CLEARLY THAT WE ARE NOT SURE.
we are now rebooting server and checking the blockchain again manually.
and afterwards we will check it via blockcrawler.

give us 10 minutes and you will know everything.

NP dude. I just copied the hash you posted and did not look on the number.
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Version1.0.0.1 Released - Please Upgrade your wallet on: May 02, 2014, 12:12:36 PM
Hey guys,

we checked the sourcecodes and they seemed ok.
but i have to be honest with you.

WARNING: this is only what we think and we are absolutely not sure!

looks like block NR.1 contained over 3 billion coins:
http://23.94.38.173:8888/block/00000045eeaee1dd4b64a67ed47a3b8abaacb02559487e6ef61ce6fb7481ae67

1. the gitrepo was just overwritten 3 days ago. means the original sourcecode was deleted. we haven't checked the sources before...
2. if you check the blockexplorer you ll see that the first block contained more than 3 billion coins. we are not sure if this a abe-bug in the blockexplorer or if the first block really contained +3bio coins. we checked the blockcrawler (on theasiacoin.com) and it says block nr. 1 contained only 100 blocks. but like i said we are not sure what is going on here...

we will have a further look on it now. maybe someone can help us and look if he got block nr. 1 in his debug logs and check it's output.
please help us to make sure everything is alright.

EDIT: and if you check block Nr. 2 you see that it only contains 100 coins.. so this is all strange...
my collegue and DEV who set up this blockexplorer used it before for many other coins. so he said
normaly there is NO bug in abe-explorer.. i hope he is wrong...........

This is a little scary? Am I thinking what you are suggesting?

I am thinking the same thing

If you check that hash 00000045eeaee1dd4b64a67ed47a3b8abaacb02559487e6ef61ce6fb7481ae67 at http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?transaction=d7a3477eab372c40b122c8f4e0c77f4bc36e353f4cd749d205b6e028e4f10b80 it only shows 100 coins. or am i wrong?

that one is the second block.

first block is 000004621b7993a863f39691b0520c22bc5c1674fbc01eb5924d34503e3d92db

But i don t know how to lool how many coins are in there

hm ok , don't know, but on block 0 there is only showing no transaction avaiable. I think there had been no real transaction. A richlist would be helpfull Smiley

i just bought at coinmama.com
There rate is a bit high. Taking $10 extra on 0.1BTC purchase according to Coinbase/Preev rate

yeah, but awesome fast! Made Transaction today and one hour later bitcoin is showing up on cryptsy. Better then waiting 4 days and perhaps buying AC more expensive...

Hi,

i am into coino from the beginning. since then just lurking in this thread, but I think now it's time to participate somehow.

I am an it guy from germany. Networking, firewalls, linux server, hardware is my profession...

We need to get access to the domain coino.org to update the wallet there, otherwise there will be some version problems in the future. I will try to contact the dev by pm, perhabs he is willing to coorperate in a way.

One question regarding mining: Is it save to mine at a pool right now? Are there problems when try to payout the mined coins? I stopped mining, because I do not know if it is save right now.

BTW I need the windows wallet binarys Smiley

so let's make coino a success together, so far it seems to be one of the best crypto communitys!

COINMARKET.IO

CoinMarket.io is growing and developing at a rapid rate and we are going to do a poll very soon on what coins should be added to the exchange.

In this thread we would like to get suggestions on which coins should be added to the poll.
If you can please add links to the announce thread and any other info you think is relevant to the coin.
We will review this thread and make the poll thread shortly.

We are currently trading Noblecoin [NOBL], USDE [USDE] and Dogecoin [DOGE].

Our main feedback/support thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=422153.0

(please dont suggest new coins/pairs there)
