As far as i can tell Asrock ProBTC is always good choice, plus the cheapest lga 1150 cpu (g1820?), some good psu (corsair rm1000 is top notch on my list). Do not forget about powered pcie usb risers (don't buy cheap cr@p, it can bun your motherboard and psu).

It refers to the GPU wattage, not the entire cards wattage, but I agree, the true wattage from wall is pretty much double.

I would say SC, but it's just my wild guess. If you have higher hashrate with SC, then stay with SC.

Well, 6x 470 rig is cheaper than fuel-160, hashrate seems to be similar, but power consumption is lower.

in gpuz stats or from power meter from the wall ?
because gpuz values are not real.
When i tested RX470 yesterday i had those results:
27,3 MH/s 178 watt(wattage metered from the wall and this is card only , i substracted rest of system watts)
I see 60W in gpu-z: https://tinyurl.com/he2wvnk, your memory strap is probably fine (27,5Mh/s), try to use lower core/mem voltage, i mean very low and see what happens. |

I also am working on RX480 tuning which gives me 29MH/s with 170 watt from wall which is nice.
Glad to see rx400 tests are going well. 25Mh/s for 115W with RX470 4GB is even better  |

16.8.3 is the minimum driver for the RX 470, but I always use the latest.

I can confirm it will work,i had ribbon risers connected like this for almost a year, worked fine.

More info about motherboard and risers please. Were cards connected directly to the mobo or through risers (what kind of risers, molex connector, berg connector)?

Hope rx400 support will come in the near future. It will be really nice option for cards with modded bios.
