' there is zero point leaving my wallet open'
Welcome, minerja.
If I am on-line, I run my QT. It keeps our network strong. 42-coin is insanely valuable. So, no problem for me.
Ask us about trading 42-coin. Mmmmm . . . trading!

Hi, Can anyone please explain the staking rewards to me...in simple terms.
I get that the POW is over, but, i have had 0.00005 42 coin sat in an open wallet for 6 months straight, never seen it move to the "staking" line on the wallet, and never received any reward. I'm guessing i am doing something wrong, but what i dont know.
Thanks
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1502028.msg19164922#msg19164922I understand, in broad terms, that we don't run our wallets for reward, but to secure the network. It relates to being an actually deflationary coin. We should run basic courses in trading 42.

Complete change of attitude towards 42-coin on Xchange. Weeks ago, our volume was just people selling the 100 sats they were getting at the faucet (which I supplied . . . ). Now our volume shows buyers steadily nibbling at the top side of the orders. Niiice!

I am waiting to take back my 42 coins from Cryptopia, Livecoin and Altilly and then hopefully I will start to trade again! IMHO Cryptopia - chance of a refund xx% Livecoin and Altilly - chance of a refund x% I find it less psychologically bruising to simply write the values off. It helps that 42 is just sooo tradeable: go and and earn more!

Our volume on Xchange is growing. And my withdrawal today took exactly one second. I like one-second withdrawals.

Happy New Year, Clam folks.

Happy New Year
Okay, we have volume posted on CMC.
And feel free to ask about prices on XBTS, where I am patiently building volume (and wrassling with the arithmetic of some of the pairs there).

Double Exchange-Hack Information Bulletins
We have bids on 42-BTC and 42-BTS on XBTS. But we need to greatly increase the amount of coin on those markets. We must also greatly increase the coin on the Xchange 42-BTC pair. Have announced our situation in the Xchange troll box. (And we are very lucky that we have good relations with devs on both XBTS and Xchange.)
One Problem: we must determine an exchange rate. (We can start P2P trades anytime)

Update: 26th of December 2020 - 01:25 CET
Dear Altilly users,
Earlier this week. We've noticed suspicious activities on our Altilly servers. After rebooting and checking the servers, we've noticed the same activity and a new system user being created on our servers. Meaning that the system was hacked above OS level most likely using recue mode during the reboot. We were still unsure what was going on and decided to move things over to a new hosting provider.
During the process, we've lost access to our servers at our previous hosting provider, including the database, wallets and codebase of Altilly. We are investigating what is going on and what has been saved so far. We are not sure yet if funds are lost. We are still waiting for final analysis from the current hosting provider. We will keep you posted.
I wonder if the Livecoin people are the Altilly people? tee hee -- I wondered who'd be first to suggest this

Edit:
Okay! Double exchange-hack! You can trade on XBTS and Xchange. Laser and I will work hard to keep info up to date, and that info will be posted on Bitcointalk and Discord.
Actually, a guy expressed some woe on Telegram yesterday. I pointed out that this is a community of long-timers. He immediately asked what the significance was.
Well, the significance is: it's a community of long-timers, players who run QTs, who understand P2P, who aren't gonna be freaked out over exchange-hacks.

Merry Christmas to all from IndiaMikeZulu.
I will be checking our threads and exchanges.

IndiaMikeZulu are minor players. But as Clam seems to be sorta the Xchange in-house crypto, we are happy to push it along a little (and I wanna experiment with the tx comments thing).

Price Guess Comp one week today.
So, 'December 15' is when I do my morning trading here. First BTC price to pop up on CMC, that's the price.
I am doing the math now
