on that last note, my gridseeds and antminers hate my hsb3.0 ports, no worky at all

My Antminers LOVED my Anker 3.0 9-port hub with its 12V 5amp power supply... but the PI sure didn't like it!

All (10) of my gridseeds are running on the USB 2.0 hub that came as part of the 10-gridseed kit.  It is working beautifully with them.

Rami... please check PM.

And your regular gawminer e-mail box...

Guys, I just had a genius idea. What if...  we open up a C2C Support Desk. Customers ask questions. Customers answer questions. Rami sits in his chair and smiles.  Grin

Hang in there... working something similar out with him all day.  Just need a bit of his time.

I just received my GAW Fury and am getting 0 hash rate because zenminer is down and there is no other option at this time to start mining. When will site be up? And how about software that I can run with no service.

Scroll back a bunch and they posted the link to download a version of CGminer that works.
305  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 28, 2014, 04:07:32 PM
you maybe right, but the way i see is the zen controller is selling for $69, this was original included in the $149 fury
so now if i was to buy it im $69 less off, why not reduce the miner and give me the option to purchase the controller later.

if i was to get the same package it will be $149 + $69 = $218
so with out reducing the price of the fury, you are in fact increasing the price?

That was a promo. We purchased a bunch from ZenMiner and gave them out as a promotion. That promotion is now over

I pretty much thought of it as a "gift" - no way did I expect a $60-$70 PI setup to come free with my $169 miner... I simply expected a link to git where I could download software to run on the USB hosting device of my choice.

P.S.  My receptionist just brought me coffee, but she prefers that I call her "my wife" instead.   Wink  Tbh, "the boss" would be more accurate.   Grin

I'll never forget one sign I saw in a mid-western restaurant:  "Men on the Left, because Women are always Right!"

Maybe with some sort of wizardry the GAW Scrypt Miners could be upgraded with hardware/software/firmware to be able to do Scrypt-N and X11 too..!

That would be a GAME CHANGER if that was possible!

I sure though that is just wishful thinking on my part.

 Grin

Its an ASIC, not a FPGA...  that Application Specific part will likely ruin your day.

Has anyone checked their order on the website? Mine says "AWAITING FULFILLMENT" still (Week 1 Falcon).

Mine updated a little bit ago... going from Awaiting, to Shipped, to Complete within a few minutes.
309  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 27, 2014, 10:53:18 PM
Actually, quite a nice PI:  Case, power supply, SDHC card, HDML cable - worth at least $60 on ebay if prices are similar to the last time I looked.

That is one nice surprise for a miner that only cost $169 (week 1).

I'd just feel so much better if DHL has a tracking status beyond "Shipping Information Received".
310  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 27, 2014, 10:17:24 PM
Just chiming in, received my DHL tracking.

Email came at 5:01pm Central.

Shipment information was received on 15:23 on Monday May 26th at 15:23 (presumably local Hong Kong time).

So its on its way.  Hope zenminers get's their registration opened up RSN.

My guess is that the ZenController is just a middle point to your miners and Zenminer's website, which is where your actual host page will be to control your miners and pools. There won't be anything for you to access directly from the ZenController, just plug it in and register at zenminer.com.

Zenminer's page for registration is not yet active.

Ah... on both points.  Somehow it has got to talk back to home, and that may well require me to poke a hole in my firewalls.  I'd expect to be able to do something with the PI though, otherwise why provide the HDMI cable?  Just to watch it boot?  (Not complaining mind you.)
312  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 27, 2014, 07:55:33 PM
OK - got my Pi in today's mail.  That makes #3 of those cuties for me.  Alas, I normally burn my own software, so am stuck a bit:

Its boots just fine, but I'm clueless on userid and password.  Tried the default "pi" and "raspberry" but its not letting me in.

The zenminer.com register page isn't working from Firefox on my desktop either, although I'm guessing that would want to run from the PI.

Can someone help an old person out without being too abusive for me being an idiot?  Just need a "getting started" line or two...

Thanks,

Cassey

I've been running gridseeds off a PI for several weeks now.  Found cpminer 3.7.2 built for the gridseeds the most stable version.  Personally using a Gentoo Linux build, but I doubt that matters.

Presume you guys are banging away at getting order information out.  Alas, my week 1 fury is still marked "Awaiting Fullfillment".

Any ETA on when your will be caught up, so that we know if we have a real issue vs. just a paperwork catchup one?

Kind of hoping I hear the doorbell ring real soon now. <smile>

ps.  Who won the best GAWification contest?
315  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 27, 2014, 01:58:30 PM

I wish this was the case.....I already told this user I wold provide a link to the software, well before any of the post they were making. I just did not have a date at that time. Rather then waiting for it, they posted over 20 post about exact same question, as if I never said anything about it. Even though they confirmed they saw it.

Additionally, I have offered multiple times to refund the purchase.

There is always one such customers for every product - this has been going on since the first days of BBSes.  Back in the heyday of e-mail forums, my favorite TV producer, JMS (of Babylon 5 fame) was online about 4 hours a day answering fan e-mail.  At least he was the first couple of years.  Claimed the fans helped keep him honest, and made him think harder about everything he wanted to do in the show.  By year 4, he had pretty much disappeared, with apologies to his support base, but a few ruined it him.

As a coin developer, I have the same problem.  Lots of great customers, and one minor, ah, miner, that will bitch up a storm on Twitter, all the time saying he would like to go private (with him having my personal e-mail), about things that have gone wrong... things that I had written to him about and asked him to change.

*sigh*

Such is the world we live in.

They didn't say "tracking will go out on tuesday of wherever you are". Tracking is going to go out tuesday of where THEY are. They work on EST time, so they have another 16hrs to get all tracking updated.

Also, do you have an idea how long it takes to update over 5000 tracking numbers?  Hint: a long time.

People like you are why I stopped selling on ebay, despite my power seller status. Nothing is ever good enough.

And lets not forgot about all the updates we got, systems tuned, etc. over what was a 3 day holiday in the USA.  Sure didn't see this type of support from BFL.

"Above and Beyond" GAW - and sincerely appreciated.

Here is another contest to pass the time while you wait for your miners Smiley

As you guys know, we have some fun name that we use for things. Believe it or not, I make them all up, but for very specific reasons......

I will give a free Fury (second week). To the person the person that guesses the closest to why we choose all the names for everything related to our company first Smiley

Cut off is 11pm Eastern Tonight!

Bluntly, internal code names are fun, build a healthy sense of conspiracy within the team, and protect your internal develop from competition being able to figure out what your up to, even if they do overhear your developers at the local bar?

Cassey

by far the closest Smiley

Well... I wasn't going to mention pillow talk, but... that is a great reason too.
