1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: December 10, 2021, 01:04:58 PM
...
Anybody can contribute sure, but nobody is doing it as there's no incentive and nobody cares.

You need a modern easy client to onboard new users and stakers again.  A team, a vision, a roadmap, exchange expansion etc. to get new money in.  Why would someone invest big in this coin? It's all outdated stuff, super risky coin to lose all your money in.

So to revive it you need to spend some money and pay people to get certain things done, combined with people wo do want to contribute for free.  You can't make an omelet without breaking eggs.

But maybe it's good where it is now, it's the old that couldn't compete and had to make place for the new.
It's easy to download:
https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams/releases/tag/v1.4.17

Easy to set up.

And easy to buy and sell:
https://freebitcoins.com/xchange/market/Clamcoin

It only needs more applications... but it's an accessible coin for all.

So,if you don’t believe it or don’t get it, I don’t have the time to try to convince you, sorry.

What a load of nonsense.  It's a terrible qt-wallet, outdated code.

Accessible coin? No, it's only listed on 1 exchange that nobody knows about and there's no (exit) liquidity. Excuse me, it's also listed on freiexchange which is actually listed on CMC and Gecko which is a big plus. Freebitcoins can't even get listed on CMC and Gecko it seems.

I think you're the one that doesn't get it and is living in lala land lmao.

The code needs to have atomic swaps capability, or in other words at least an upgrade to Bitcoin Core 0.13.2 before it can be listed on AtomicDex.
Clams still has code dating back from before 2015 if I look at the Clam client download on the website which is still the same old shit lmao.

You are welcome to update it.  https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams

I have no horse in this race.

You can look for a blockchain dev, you should be able to find one for $6k-$10k a month or you can pay task based.

You can pay a hooker too, but that isn't the route I'd prefer to go either.

CLAM is a open source project that anyone can contribute too.

The problem with cryptocurrency (and has been for a while + I'm guilty of it as well to an extent) is that it's FULL of free loading scrubs that are always waiting on everyone else to do everything else and they contribute very little or nothing.

Another thing about CLAM is that the main services are ran by people that can make their own custom clients... and in my point of view... I'd rather a noob, that can't use a hard-to-sync public wallet to use the wallets on FreeBitcoins.com or Just-dice.com.  *shrug*

At least at this point.

You are welcome to update it.  https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams
Looks like it is dead. There are 3 open PRs, older than 3 years:
https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams/pulls
and last commit is from 2017. Granted, one of the PR ("Update validation.cpp") probably results in a syntax error for the compiler, but the other 2 look fine and should be merged.

I passed this link to Xploited (the creator of clam and partner at FreeBitcoins.com).

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VAL] Validity - Decentralized Identities, Custom Assets, Elections, and More! on: December 25, 2020, 07:02:00 AM
When will they put it on blockfolio?
We are working on that.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RADS] Radium - Decentralized Identities, Custom Assets, Elections, and More! on: December 21, 2020, 06:27:24 AM
Today is a big day for the project as we are rebranding to Validity (VAL).  We’ve put together a few of the most likely questions:

- Will my old Radium Core wallet still work with the Validity network?
Yes.  The Validity rebrand is simply cosmetic and an effort to better align our outward appearance with our inner machinations.

- Will I get to keep my old RADS coins?
Yes, of course. They will now be known as VAL.  All exchanges and services will be adjusted accordingly.

- Is there anything that I need to do in order to keep staking?
No. You can use the former Radium wallet or the newly-skinned Validity wallet.

- Will there be an airdrop, an ICO or an IEO?
No, none of the above.

Bittrex officially confirmed that they will support the upcoming rebrand!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RADS] Radium - Decentralized Identities, Custom Assets, Elections, and More! on: November 27, 2020, 02:39:42 PM
Yes, Maybe we can get on a new swap service or another exchange that doesn't want extorsion money for a minor change.

Bittrex has been blocking swap services (Simpleswap, StealthX, etc) from their platform, this is most likely due to US regulations.  The result is that swap services need another exchange as liquidty provider to support RADS on their platform.

One swap service contacted us that they're willing to use SouthXchange as alternative but there's currently not enough liquidity on the books.

So we want to ask the community to help put liqudity on the SouthXchange book so swap services can offer Rads again.  Thank you!

Btw both SouthXchange and Crex24 support the rebrand and have been reliable partners since Rads got listed on these platforms and the communication with them has been pleasant and professional.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Livecoin.net exchange is a SCAM on: November 22, 2020, 02:40:30 AM
Hi,

I'm a Radium Core (RADS) team member.

Just wanted to let projects out there know that communicating with Livecoin has been difficult for us.  They're often arrogant and unpleasant to deal with.

As we are rebranding which is purely cosmetic, they charged us 0.5 BTC ($9k at time of writing) to just replace the name and ticker.  This is unacceptable for us so Radium is being delisted from Livecoin.

Be careful dealing with this exchange if you want to list your coin there, they will try to exploit and charge you big time whenever they see an opportunity.

Livecoin was also the only exchange that RADS is listed on that used user's funds to stake with, without giving the rewards to their users.

This is/was the Livecoin Radium wallet:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/rads/wallet.dws?87460.htm

If you click on the subaddresses then you see they were staking with the coins.

Livecoin doesn't want to support the upcoming rebrand (which is purely cosmetic, there will be no fork), unless we pay them 0.5 BTC to just replace the name and ticker.  This is unacceptable to us so Radium is being delisted from Livecoin.

Pls withdraw your Rads from Livecoin!

Or you can add the following command to the radium.conf file in the Radium13 folder:

zapwallettxes=2

(restart the wallet and balance should be there)

If there is no config file then just create one: radium.conf

I noticed that the rebrand was on hold. Are they waiting for the right time or a codebase upgrade? Maybe somethihng new. Once bitcoin settles down people switch over to alts. I think 15k (area)is the right place for btc to hold for some time and let the alts run a little.
The rebrand is about 95% complete.  We got the new name, new ticker, new logo, new website and all the graphic stuff required for social media (Twitter etc) is done as well.  Blog post is ready, as well as adjusted white paper. The reskin of the qt-wallet is done.  We're currently working on the reskin of the Smartchain and then we're pretty much ready to launch the rebrand.

Are there efforts to list RADS on Binance? They have a system that allows users to stake certain coins directly through the platform. That would make RADS a popular option over there since the estimated yearly returns are the highest in the entire crypto world.
We reached out to Binance several times but so far we didn't make it to the 2nd round. We can only hope Binance changes their stance in the future, in the meantime we keep working on making Radium better.

^lol which is nothing, which will lead to nothing, as to why the price is nothing on no worthwhile exchanges.

rekt
The whole cryptospace has been in a bear market for 3 years now except for bitcoin which is being propped up by Tether.  The cold hard reality is that not one crypto project reached adoption yet, we're still early days, a lot of experimenting is going on. Plenty of projects died already, at least Radium is going on for over 5 years now. It had a fair launch and it has strong fundamentals which unfortunately is not reflected in the price at this point in time. We will still be here in 5 years from now as well and with the aim to add value to blockchain tech.

Don't like Radium that's fine, nobody forces you to buy, but don't come in here like a whiny little bitch complaining and trolling.  Go do something useful instead. We welcome people with fresh ideas or that want to contribute to the project one way or another.

What  is the team working on now? Any Defi or special project?

We're currently pushing for the rebrand which is on our roadmap for this year.  It includes a new logo, name, ticker, website, qt-wallet etc.  Most of the work is done, 90-95% complete.  We're currently adjusting The Smartchain UX and GUI which is the last step in the process.

There were two main topics on our roadmap for 2020.  The first one is the codebase upgrade which we successfully completed a few months ago.  The 2nd one is the rebrand which we will complete soon.

At the same time we're researching and watching DeFi hype closely, to see if there are any viable developments to incorporate.  We're careful about DeFi products though, because there are a lot of shenanigans going on in DeFi right now.

There are still eleven nodes running XT 13.1.0 and three nodes running XT 13.1.2 on the network.  These versions are not stable, please upgrade to XT 13.1.5 asap. A full resync is recommended:

https://github.com/RadiumCore/radiumXT/releases/tag/v13.1.5

Always keep a copy of your wallet.dat file as well as a backup.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Please Update to 13.1.3! on: August 15, 2020, 03:21:14 PM
Hello!

Please update to v13.1.3

Previous 13.x.x versions have a fee calculation bug that can cause your wallet to fork.

https://github.com/RadiumCore/radiumXT/releases/tag/v13.1.3

Thanks!

Justin Jacobeen.
yes! thanks
if running from the start you might need 13.1.5 Can we get the GitHub link for 13.1.5
Sure, here's the link for 13.1.5

It Looks like Radium is making a move.
  Good times coming

Yeah good volumes in Asian markets lately. We might enter a bull market soon.  Radium has been in oversold conditions for a while now, at some point the pendulum will swing the other way indeed.

The website is currently down.  There was a storm last night that damaged the fiber cable so our data center is down atm.  We'll have it fixed asap.

Old client loses inputs regularly. Balance is inflated falsely.
The balance doesn't get inflated though as the orphans don't count in the balance.  An orphan is a found block that gets rejected by the network because someone else found the block a bit faster than you and they get the reward which will be added to their balance not yours.

The balance bug was never seen before new client had been released. Visible balance increases from time to time in old client by input size (~600 coins).
It is unclear whether staking power rises too really or not. I tried zapwallettxes command before balance became inflated enough to notice difference in mined block amount per day.

Ah yes, I know what you're talking about now.  I've seen that bug in the old client as well.  It was an issue with the wallet though as on the blockchain the balance is always correct.  Restarting the old wallet usually sets the balance correct again.

I haven't seen that bug in the new client.
