41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important are TPS? on: January 17, 2019, 12:46:27 PM
If we're going for a decentralized blockchain platform - how important are TPS in your opinion?
TPS is very important ! The recently released Lightning Protocol from Bitcoin has a transaction limit of 60,000 per second, VISA currently processes 2,000 transactions per second, and exchanges execute 80,000 transactions per second.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will STO's Work? on: January 17, 2019, 12:39:45 PM
What do you guys think? Will STO's be able to compete in the crypto market and actually succeed? I'm glad to see ICO's die out. They were consuming too much market cap +90% of the projects were garbage. I made a list of 100 ICO's I seen promoted back in April and only a select few of them are doing well. Nauticus launched (https://nauticus.exchange/) which is great news for the exchange community, but unfortunately today Cryptopia suffered a hack. We seem to take one step forward, followed by one step back...What do you guys think?
Nautilus is not one good exchange I heard that there was a new exchange called IronX, but in my opinion is now in demand exchanges that share daily turnover with users. For example abcc !
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges has no effects anymore on: January 17, 2019, 12:34:42 PM
Time has pass when news or listing pumps price of a coin,it isnt 2013 or even the same climate as 2017. Newer projects are building some serious patforms that take time. News  cant just make a coin pump anymore, neither do exchange listings. Look at coins like Tron etc. being added to a new excahnge everyday. doesnt do anything. Its about results. No point in launching news in crypto environment, Hopefully you guys will join good projects with better future results....2019 is the year
In order for the listing to be productive and the price to be stable, it is best to use the sale of tokens through the exchange or issue a coin to the exchange after a good marketing move.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If only ethereum is not available in this world.... on: January 17, 2019, 12:31:23 PM
if ethereum is not available in crypto, the ico project will not be as much as it is now and it will be very difficult to make a pairing project only to BTC, from most project platforms, Ethereum is the most used by everyone, so keep grateful for the ethereum.
I agree with you and I am sure that Ethereum will live forever but there are other platforms for creating tokens such as TRX-10 or NEO, Waves.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can A Cryptopia Exchange Got Hacked Simple Like that ? on: January 16, 2019, 09:13:20 AM
Oh my God ! I used this exchange only once and didn't keep any money there. I'm sorry about the guys who traded on this exchange. But now is the time to scammers found quickly and the exchange will open for withdrawal. I hope that justice will prevail !
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: who are those buying when the price is down and almost everyone is dumping ? on: January 16, 2019, 09:06:04 AM
Have you ever asked yourself this same question each time you panic sell during a bear market like this ?  who are those buying? why are they buying? what will they use if for ? these are the questions i do ask myself and it helped me hodl some of my token and later made some profit from them .
It happens from a psychological point of view. When one person loses money and he no longer has the hope that everything will be fine ( depression), but the person who buys sees the growth potential, as he takes a position lower than the person who sold the coins. I think so.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOW NO MERCY TO SCAMMERS! on: January 16, 2019, 08:57:12 AM
I think we need FRAUD LISTING thread on Bitcointalk forum to fight scammers and bounty hunters need to come together as ONE ,they are the ones Help PROMOTING all this fake projects ,they should be able to warn each other when a fake/scam project get launched on the forum and get the scam project banned off the forum ,we should all remember that the more fake projects are been launched of this forum right under our noses the more cryptocurrency will keep looking bad and NEWBIES are the victims most times ,we investors and bounty hunters have the power to make BITCOINTALK FORUM BETTER.

UPDATE!

As a NEWBIE I never knew we have a scam accusation thread on here ,so newbies like me and for those who doesn't know please let's keep the thread alive ,I believe this will safe many newbies from falling victims
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
In our time, the investor will think a thousand times before investing and he will not pay attention to the project which is a fraud, but you need to deal with such actions and periodically visit the thread on the forum about fraud in projects. For example, here is the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4701035.0
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Constantinople Hard fork to be delayed on: January 16, 2019, 08:53:05 AM
The much anticipated upgrade to Ethereum network is set to be delayed yet again to a yet to be known date due to critical vulnerabilities discovered on the to be implemented upgrade, according to Coindesk.

Smart contract audit firm ChainSecurity flagged Tuesday that Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 1283, if implemented, could provide attackers a loophole in the code to steal user funds. Speaking on a call, ethereum developers, as well as developers of clients and other projects running the network, agreed to delay the hard fork – at least temporarily – while they assessed the issue.

Participants included ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin, developers Hudson Jameson, Nick Johnson and Evan Van Ness, and Parity release manager Afri Schoedon, among others. A new fork date will be decided during another ethereum dev call on Friday.

Discussing the vulnerability online, the project’s core developers reached the conclusion that it would take too long to fix the bug prior to the hard fork, which was expected to execute at around 04:00 UTC on Jan. 17.

Called a reentrancy attack, the vulnerability essentially allows an attacker to “reenter” the same function multiple times without updating the user about the state of affairs. Under this scenario, an attacker could essentially be “withdrawing funds forever,” said Joanes Espanol, CTO of blockchain analytics firm Amberdata in a previous interview with CoinDesk.

He explained:

“Imagine that my contract has a function which makes a call to another contract… If I’m a hacker and I’m able to trigger function a while the previous function was still executing, I might be able to withdraw funds.”
I think this is good news for Ethereum, because I've made sure once again that Ethereum has a great development team that has found the problem and prevented the disaster. In any case, the hard fork will be very soon.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic - 1.1 Million USD Stolen Through 51% attacks on: January 11, 2019, 02:14:03 PM
The Ethereum classic losing ground and scares investors. I heard that the development team does not promote the project and there are people who left the project. The development team says that they tested ASIC but in fact it's very sad and I think that the attack took place.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: No bull run this year?! For real? on: January 11, 2019, 02:10:57 PM
The beginning of the bullish trend in mid-2019 sounds realistic. I think that the historical maximum bitcoin will not overcome but to trade around 10 000 $ can.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: A little hope and questions for 2019. on: January 10, 2019, 11:31:06 AM
Growth at the beginning of the year gives new hopes. I thought that the price will rise and overcome the mark of $ 5000 but today bitcoin went back to the bottom. I think that now bitcoin will trade in waves and gradually grow during 2019 but the historical maximum can not be overcome .
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: How/Why to Buy Bitcoin in 2019 on: January 10, 2019, 11:26:25 AM
Perhaps the right decision to buy this year bitcoin but still there is a risk of decline. I bought bitcoin during 2018 and now I will buy more only if the price falls as I do not want to be greedy. I have some bitcoins but am happy with what I have.
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of Bitcoin hit 12 to 13k end of this year? on: January 10, 2019, 11:17:52 AM
I also think that if you objectively argue that the price in the region of $ 12 000 for bitcoin by the end of the year it is quite real. I think that there will be a smooth growth this year with small adjustments to the exchange rate.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the faith of bitcoin this year on: January 09, 2019, 05:00:03 PM
I will like to know any idea and news?
Do you like charts? Smiley

I will post one.

This is not my own opinion, it was just posted by someone else on this forum last week:

If we believe this chart, very stable year, even quite bad. But exciting times starting from 2020.
Would love this prediction to be accurate.
This graph is one of the most logical I've seen. I always thought growth had to be smooth to be able to reason. There are charts that say that bitcoin will be $ 1,000,000 in a year and frankly funny to look at them. I am not a professional analyst but I have doubts that bitcoin will be so stable for two years.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Bull after Christmas? on: January 09, 2019, 04:51:38 PM
People are constantly saying that next month the price will start to rise and I do not understand why. Let's use common sense and just wait. No one knows exactly when the price will rise again. Here for example the price is rising now and I think that there will be growth but things can change at any moment ! Let's be patient and confident !
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: $3k range the new $6k range? on: January 09, 2019, 04:48:03 PM
I think that bitcoin to overcome the desired goal which was $ 4000 but to be sure of the uptrend you need to bitcoin breaks the mark of $ 6000 and above then people will understand that a new wave of growth begins. I think there and I think it will be very soon.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETF Decision make a negative impact? on: January 08, 2019, 03:51:18 PM
I think that this will have a positive impact on the bit, but without ETF Bitcoin will be able to work in normal mode and trade on the exchanges, but if the SEC approves the ETF then it will come a lot of money and it will give rise to strong growth.
58  Economy / Speculation / Re: The truth about the 20k bitcoin last year on: January 04, 2019, 11:13:41 AM
Lets face it- BTC is total worthless- its garbage and you cant use it for anything

Last years bullrun had nothing to do with BTC beeing innovativ or anything- the only reason BTC reached this price levels is because of bitconnect and Ethereum ICOs
for bitconnect and to take part in eth icos the easiest way was to buy bitcoin and than invest in bitconnect- buying bcc coins

same with ethereum ICOs- majority of people bought BTC than traded it for ETH and than investing in eth ICOs

so if btc wouldnt have been around it would have even been much better if someone was abe to invest directly in bitconnect or ethereum.

Mike Novogratz is a shill from the worst kind- same with this other BTC shill Tone Vays

Face it BTC fanboys- your coin is garbage and noone can use it for anything- the only reason it had any usage was in the beginning when people used it to buy drugs on the darknet but other than that- screw bitcoin

and even lightning cant save this crap

And on the next bullrun ethereum will outperform btc again- especially when people are than able to purchase eth directly with fiat.

now prove me wrong, lol
I do not think so, people use bitcoin for transactions for example to relatives and friends around the world without resorting to the help of a third party. There is an application, gadgets and other products that you can buy for bitcoins. Often I notice that buy games for PlayStation, ixbox, PS and various products that are in the games. As everyone knows the gaming industry is very large and has a huge capitalization and cash flow in the system. Drugs are not the main trafficking in the use of bitcoin.
If you believe that bitcoin is garbage I'm not going to contradict you and do not in any way to insult you. You can just silently leave the forum and the market.

60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and other cryptocurencies are not necessary says Chinese people on: January 03, 2019, 08:11:30 PM
In a report earlier this week, it was gathered that a recent survey conducted in China brought a result of 66% saying there's no need for Bitcoin  and other cryptocurencies. Do you consider this a FUD or it's the actual representation of their thoughts?
Hello don't get me wrong but 66% of this is significant value especially for the country in which lives a huge number of people. You can specify the source in which you will learn about the results of the survey ?)
