So my pc setup is a GTX 1070 and an i7-7700. Since the downfall of many cryptocurrency in the past few months, I have started using nicehash autominer for my graphics card. Now the question is, my cpu lies at barely 5% use throughout the day. So are there any viable cryptocurrency that I can mine using my cpu???
It is possible to use XMRStack while mining Monero. It uses CPU and GPU and gives a good hash rate. Also, you may use XMRig as a miner for CPU. |

There are a lot of other coins with similar profit. I'm going to switch to Ravencoin, Monero, XZCoin or something else if Ether will be unprofitable. But I think that its price will rise after successful Constantinople update and profit in fiat money will be the same.

Claymore's CryptoNight AMD GPU Miner.
I have always donated using Claymore miners, Ethash, Equihash etc. I am very disappointed you do not seem to be planning an update for Cryptonote. I feel I have definitely donated enough to warrant such an update as I am sure your other donators do too. @claymore why not reinstate devfee and update? there are a lot of profitable Cryptonight coins out there now and I know you understand the nature of a trading economy. Z Claymore doesn't wish to update this miner because the profit from miners of Monero is very small. There are a lot of other miners with good stability and hashrate for this algo. Unfortunately, they don't have such a good Remote control as EthMan.exe. |

Wondering what the impact will be at the end of January or so when none of the 3GB will be able to mine EThash anymore. So far the hashrate has been pretty constant https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrateThis is assuming the 1060 3GB people were using older versions of Claymore. Most likely I am thinking it will be minimal since most of the GPUs out there are the RX 470/480/570/580 which feature 4GB-8GB of GDDR but it should be interesting to see none the less. Wonder if any people with R9 280X are still mining ETH since they are 3GB also but the speed is like 11MH/s last time I checked on mine. My R9 280X gives only 7 mh/s, I'm using this card for Monero mining (450 h/s on XMRStack). R9 290 gives up to 24 mh/s at the moment. These cards can give more, but AMD drivers don't have support for big DAG size as they made for RX series. |

It is impossible. Theoretically, you can mine Monero on free Google virtual machines, but it is prohibited by the rules and you will be banned very soon.

У меня ощущение, что это будет неудачный хардфорк и ничего технически не измениться и курс эфира сильно польют.
По большому счету, это не харжфорк, а очередное серьезное обновление сети. Оснвоное в нем - это уменьшение награды майнерам с 3 до 2 эфиров, что приведет к уменьшению предложения эфира на рынке и соответственному росту цены. |

Все технические и фундаментальные способы хороши до тех пор, когда за дело не берутся сильные манипуляторы ,владеющие колоссальными суммами. Они могут специально создавать ложные сигналы, чтобы подстричь хомячков.

Вы сейчас полную чепуху городите. Как вы собираетесь возвращать средства? Такой возможности нет даже теоретически. Единственное, это можете Виталика попросить откатить блокчеин на сутки назад.  Можно вернуть, если арестовать мошенников и заладеть их приватными ключами. При желании мошенников можно вычислить. Они засветились даже здесь. Nanopool is one of the best pools. I'm using this pool for Monero mining almost a year and there were no problems. Hashrate is stable, ping is about 60-80 ms.
