Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest misconception of Cryptocurrency in your country?

Many people in my country think that Bitcoin is only used by crimes for illegal activities. That is the biggest misconception of Bitcoin that I have ever heard. It seems to me that those people don't know anything about Bitcoin as well as cryptocurrency. they say that due to the lack of governmental control and proper regulations, Bitcoin is irresittible for crimes and frauds. I don't know how to deal with them.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Banks on blockchain?

I think Blockchain with the feature of transparency can help banks with clearing and settlement. In fact, the tangled web that records loans and securities costs investment banks billions of dollars to run. That amount of money can be lowered by using blockchain technology to improve the efficiency of clearing and settlement. It's likely that Blockchain can restructure banking industry.

I think if one invests in cryptocurrency and lost, it doesn't mean a failure. Consider the money you lost as the learning fee to get experience to be smarter next time. If you want to win money, you have to be smart and experienced. But if you don't try investing as least one time in your life, how can you get experience and become wiser?

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever stop depending on fiat currency?

Without the ability to convert into money, Bitcoin will be on the edge of disappear, I think. Holding Bitcoin is always risky because of its volatility. Your Bitcoins can be suddenly down to near zero or upsurge out of the blue. So Bitcoin has to resort to fiat money to lower the risks. No one will invest in Bitcoin or buy Bitcoin if it can't be converted into cash.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google's new updates ban cryptocurrency mining apps on Play Store

Many cryptocurrency mining apps are living on the Play Store. Some of them aren’t harmful, but the concern is the existence of the apps that hide the mining code and perform cryptojacking. I think they are doing the right thing to protect their users. However, they mentioned in the updated policy that "We permit apps that remotely manage the mining of cryptocurrency,”. So you still can use these apps.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you stop calling Bitcoin an investment?

Bitcoin has forced itself to become an investment. It was born as a medium of exchange and promise to facilitate a cashless society. But I bet that most of guys here knew Bitcoin much as an investment than a medium of exchange. Bitcoin hadn't been known as much as now before the hype last year. They come to Bitcoin because of profit more than its core value it brings. It's sad. They speculated Bitcoin, which made its volatility. I hope in the future people can ajust their attitude to develop Bitcoin as a real method of payment. It's much more beneficial to society.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin?

Why Bitcoin? Because it's far more useful, not useless as you thought. the underlying technology of Bitcoin is Blockchain, the phenomenal invention and the future technology. Bitcoin was created to promote a cashless society and promises to change the money paying habit of people. Transfering Bitcoin is much more convenient, cheaper and faster. Those are reasons why Bitcoin is reliable and has governed the markets for from the beginning. Up to now, with useless Altcoins, I don't think Bitcoin can be replaced in the medium term.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can you invest in bitcoin without being scammed?

The best thing you can do to protect yourself is to always proceed with extreme caution. Scammers constantly use phishing attacks to try to trick people into visiting malicious websites that look official, but aren’t. To avoid it, you should save the right website as your bookmark.
