361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm NOT Buying Ethereum... on: January 15, 2019, 10:49:22 PM
I believe ethereum is still one of the best projects to buy right now, irrespective of how much it has dropped, it is still a long way ahead of blockchain like NEO,EOS, Stratis, TRX etc.
Ethereum dumped hard but if the make trends over the past year is something to go by, it will also respond similarly Tia positive prove change evident in its alternative positions with ripple XRP
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency market dropped on: January 15, 2019, 08:40:22 PM
8 months after this topic was created, the cryptocurrencies market is still falling. It goes to show that The growth in Q4 2017 is based on hype and FOMO and we are still in a correction period.

I think the market is a little more stable now but the dump is not over just yet.
It will take some time and significant news to cause a lasting change
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Options for investment in early 2019?! on: January 15, 2019, 07:35:37 PM
What can you do when you see the market too often red? In addition to Bitcoin and ethereum, what coins appear to have a chance to rise to the moon. I want to hear your opinion. Please share your opinions and suggestions. I am very happy if I get meaningful advice. Thank you for your time.
The best investment in the year 2019 in my personal opinion is still the top cryptocurrencies. The lower rated cryptocurrencies may possess a good ROI potential due to their low market caps but in reality the top 50 cryptocurrencies provide better stability and assurance compared to the rest.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Dump after listing on: January 14, 2019, 11:56:53 PM
Different projects have adopted different listing strategies in order to avoid the dump after listing but, this strategies have both successful and failure results.
I think dumping after listing depends on the project itself, how good it is and how the token metrics rate in the community.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Vulnerability of PoW in recent 51% attacks on deferent Blockchains on: January 14, 2019, 11:54:02 PM
All blockchains that run on Pow are vulnerable to a malicious attack called the "51% attack". A 51% attack is possible when a mining pool is able to attain more than 50% of the whole hashrate in a particular blockchain's network. When a mining pool or miner gains this, they will be able to rewrite the blockchain ledger (blockchain reorganization) and then steal the native cryptocurrency of that blockchain through an act called a "double spend".

51% attacks is practically impossible on the ETH blockchain because of how large tge blockchain is and the fact that only a 5% of the 51% hashrate needed for attack the blockchain is available online.

To check the nice hashable percentage of PoW blockchain minibg power available for purchase online check https://www.crypto51.app

366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Next Bullrun on: January 11, 2019, 11:30:37 PM
Totally true, I think the 2017 bull run has deceived a lot of investors to think that bull runs will come often.
I doubt that a bull rub will happen in 2019, although the approval of ETF and bakkt may bring more stability to the market but I doubt there will be astronomical surgery in prices like there was in Q4 2017.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neo to surpass Eth on: January 11, 2019, 10:45:27 PM
I strongly disagree with this statement that neo will surpass ethereum.
Neo is a good project but the blockchain is still miles behind ethereum in terms of usability and ease of developing dApps.
Also dapps and other neo blockchain projects have not been as successful as ethereum based erc20 tokens.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum will rise again. on: January 11, 2019, 10:35:54 PM
Ethereum will perform great in a good market and vice versa in the bad market especially since most tokens are based on the ethereum blockchain.
Altcoins are not performing well at the moment and ethereum feel the impact when these tokens get dumped on exchanges.
I know ethereum will rise again in a bull market.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The dump has started for 2019 on: January 10, 2019, 10:31:10 PM
Price manipulation is still a reality of the crypto market and I see it continuing that way for some time until some regulations are introduced to protect investors against it.
The market hasn't found bottom yet and will still go lower if BTC breaks the $3.6k resistance level
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never buy too much coins because you would eventually forgot gosh on: January 10, 2019, 09:57:42 PM
This is a big problem for holders of different coins or token because keeping track can be a demanding task.
Sometimes in order to check on all my tokens telegram groups and be updated with the latest updates and developments, I spend hours reading through these groups.

The best strategy is to own but a few cryptos and that you will be able to track conveniently.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seling or holding your altcoin ? on: January 10, 2019, 09:40:17 PM
The important thing is to know that, you don't necessarily have your own hundred of coins. All you need are a couple of good and valuable cryptos and then you will be set for the bull market.
This is the best time to buy low and self high later.
Bitcoin, ethereum and some top cryptos will be my pick
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less price = more profit? on: January 10, 2019, 09:31:23 PM
Low prices doesn't really matter that much, you have to compare the ico price, historical price analysis and the all time high to determine if a coin or token is worth investing into.

If a crypto has a price of $1 and a market cap of 50milion, it is likely to make more profit that a similar token that cost $0.5 and a market cap of 100 million.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is better than Bitcoin? on: January 09, 2019, 10:33:53 PM
Ethereum very much still runs on the proof of work PoW protocol as Bitcoin, and it will take some time before the eventual switch to PoS  will happen.
This means that ethereum is only better marginally in terms of scalability
Bitcoin is still safer security wise, and although ethereum is the base for development of smart contracts and new blockchains, bitcoin is still the most widely recognized and used cryptocurrency.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto still be in 2050? on: January 09, 2019, 10:28:28 PM
About crypto still functioning in the year 2050 and beyond,
No one can accurately predict the future or how technology will take shape in a few years. Although the signs are very encouraging and crypto will  be the future of new technological innovations.
Bitcoin ethereum and other cryptocurrencies are making big strides in the financial and tech industries
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Vulnerability of PoW in recent 51% attacks on deferent Blockchains on: January 09, 2019, 02:04:33 PM
ETC is different from ETH as you may know already.

In POS, if you are malicious, you will lose your staked stash. So it encourages good behavior unlike POW where if you are malicious, you will be abandoned to continue wasting your hashpower.

The greatest threat I know of now is that of collusion. If people decide in greater power to be malicious, then anything can happen to our beloved chains.

Even considering our biggest chain, the Bitcoin Network, to kill it will require billions of dollars. And we all know it can be popped if people collude to take it down.

The soundness of any blockchain relies on how robust it's cryptoeconomic environment is.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEXO IS A SCAM on: January 08, 2019, 09:34:39 PM
Scam allegations is a very serious and sensitive topic. Thanks for the scam warning, however I would like it if you can also provide proofs possibly from communications or attempted communication with the NEXO project team.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much you can profit from altcoins on: January 08, 2019, 09:29:01 PM
Altcoins have high profits.
Altcoins is the way to make quick profits in cryptocurrencies but also a way to make loss. You have to be very careful in deciding altcoins to invest your money into.
I bought some beer token last year and already 0.04x in loss. So be wise when investing in altcoins
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: who are those buying when the price is down and almost everyone is dumping ? on: January 08, 2019, 01:04:24 PM
Buying low and selling high is the oldest trick in the book of financial trading, so applying it to cryptocurrency is just the same.
Cryptocurrencies and blockchain have gone too far to just die off like that, so when the eventual pump happens, those buying low will make very good ROI.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH?? on: January 08, 2019, 12:46:12 PM
Individually the value and price movements of altcoins depends on the token itself, its demand and acceptance from the crypto community.
Generally however, altcoins  price can be influenced by both bitcoin and ETH because of their trading pairs. Cryptos with only one of these trading peers will respond to price fluctuation of that particular pair
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy not top 100 alts? on: January 07, 2019, 10:17:55 PM
There are some coins in the top 100 that will fall short of expectations and there are some coins at the lower 100 that will moon you great heights the most important thing is your research very well to uncover the hidden gems especially now that most cryptos have very low market caps.
