21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I swap my BTC to altcoins and hold for better benefits? on: May 13, 2021, 10:17:16 PM
This depends on your personal preference and your risk appetite. I like holding a good amount of BTC and i believe a good portfolio will hold the major coins with at least 50% of the dollar value. However taking calculated risks will also help you grow your portfolio value more so you should hold a good mixture of the more volatile altcoins with potential for big gains in the market
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I see no difference between Elon Musk and McAfee on: May 13, 2021, 10:09:45 PM
There is a big difference between Elon musk and john Mcafee and that is  the fact that McAfee got paid to be an official advisor for some cryptocurrency projects and he also actively promoted them.
This led a lot of people astray due to his reputation and that is wrong
Elon on the other hand is chilling in the same manner that a lot of people already chill their favorite coins and he isn't promoting it to anyone as a good investment... So it is very different

24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange tokens all the way on: May 12, 2021, 11:34:17 PM
After bitcoin and ethereum, exchange tokens re the next best thing in the crypto market. Exchange tokens offers value and utility because they have a use case that is actually functioning amidst a lot of other projects with coins but no use case.
Exchange tokens offer a more stable type of investment than the fast paced pump and dump coins
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking profit can be hard sometimes. on: May 12, 2021, 11:03:09 PM
Professional traders and investors always have predetermined levels for taking profits. This could be a psychological level, a price extension level using Fibonacci extension tools or any other technical tools out there.
The difference between the professional traders who make consistent profits and mist people on forums is that, they execute the sells at all the predetermined levels and are content with the profit that they make
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Binance be the next Ethereum? on: May 12, 2021, 10:53:53 PM
Binance has been at the forefront of most big things that has been happening in the cryptocurrency space since the company was created. Starting as an exchange, binance have since grown into a big ecosystem that offers projects a platform to launch their token sale and also a blockchain that offers really fast transaction speed at a very low transaction fee.
Binance has what it takes to overtake ethereum as the 2nd top cryptocurrency in the market.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on the rise: Sell or HODL? on: May 12, 2021, 10:20:28 PM
In the study if price action, after there is a rally in price, it is often followed by a retracement or a consideration (i.e market has no clear direction). This phase often serves as a pause stage before the price continues its bullish move or breaks structure and enters a bearish market. Either way the bearish market has not started and i believe any dips in the price of Ethereum will still be recovered when the price rally resumes
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unknown projects on: May 11, 2021, 11:59:18 PM
There is often a lot of talk about unknown projects doing a lot of work but i dont buy that idea. I believe that for a cryptocurrency to achieve the kind of success that every investor desires, then all the recipes for success has to be available. On of those things that can make a cryptocurrency successful is how known it is.
Marketing and promotion plays a big part in the potential success and failures of cryptocurrency projects and rather than looking g for  unknown projects i will rather go for known projects that are still undervalued
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Money flowing out of BTC into Altcoins on: May 11, 2021, 11:38:07 PM
This is the first time in a long while that we will see BTC dominance drop below 50% and that can be attributed to the bullish market and the opportunities that people see exist in altcoins, however a lot of the altcoins doing big returns on investment right now will equally dump harder when the bear market starts so it is wise to keep a good amount of BTC as a part of your portfolio
That way you will have a stronger cryptocurrency that is always going to bounce back from any dips in price
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many project SCAMS - PLEASE CAREFUL on: May 11, 2021, 11:23:20 PM
The scam projects are so much in this period and it is easy to miss them because the market direction is generally upwards and almost all coins have seen a positive price movement since last year.
You have to be careful to avoid this projects that have no real long term future.
Invest in known projects that have a good team working on their platform and a defined roadmap to success
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto offer riches overnight? on: May 11, 2021, 10:54:45 PM
Cryptocurrencies can definitely make you rich overnight but it can also make you broke overnight as well. So it goes both ways, most people get attracted by the fast riches and ignore the possibility of losses.
As investments are concerned in cryptocurrencies, you have to be careful of pump and dump coins that offer astronomical rewards in a short time because they can also equally harm your portfolio
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Gas fee issue on: May 06, 2021, 11:55:41 PM
I tried to swap my Tango tokens on uniswap and i was charged over $30 worth of ETH for the transaction as if that wasn't bad enough, the transaction still failed. Now the transaction didn't go through, but i still lost some money.
Ethereum gas fees are so ridiculous right now and it is putting a lot of people off from investing in cryptocurrencies
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Binance be the next Ethereum? on: May 06, 2021, 11:21:31 PM
The rise of binance in the cryptocurrency space is something to look upto for a lot of cryptocurrency projects. BNB has risen from just being an exchange token to an important token backed by the Binance smart Chain BSC for development or new smart contract projects in the blockchain.
BNB has the qualities to overtake ETH as the second most accepted cryptocurrency in the world and i think it will eventually do that with time and more developments on BSC
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Have you given up on airdrop? on: May 06, 2021, 10:24:23 PM
Airdrops have become pointless, airdrops of crypto projects have become saturated over time and participants get a few pieces of worthless tokens. What is more a discouragement from participating in airdrops is that the transaction fees for sending out the tokens to an exchange is often more than the value of the token itself
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best 5 Altcoins to buy right now. My picks on: May 06, 2021, 09:56:49 PM
The best altcoins right now in my opinion are BNB, Dogecoin, Uniswap, XRP and Polkadot
Of all the coins that i have listed, the one i like the most and i am most fascinated by is Dogecoin. That is because, of all the other altcoins it isn't backing any big project with milestones to meet so its only value is in its use for transactions.
What i like most about Dogecoin is that its growth has been purely organic and it seems to still be undervalued
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burning of cryptocurrency on: May 06, 2021, 09:38:54 PM
Based on the laws of demand and supply when the supply of a particular asset or commodity reduces, with a stable or increased demand, then the value of the asset or commodity increases.
Similarly with cryptocurrencies especially Altcoins, token burns are done in order to decrease the total circulating supply of the cryptocurrency in order to increase scarcity which will increase the value of the cryptocurrency.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Coin On PANCAKESWAP on: May 06, 2021, 06:03:32 PM
You need to understand that decentralized exchanges are open to everyone to use and list their coins and tokens on their platform.
This is one of the disadvantages compared to centralized exchanges and that is because, no one is analyzing these projects and verifying if they are good or not before listing them.
You have to be careful and do your due diligence when investing in cryptocurrencies that exist only on decentralized exchanges like Pancakeswap
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Education, the future of learning? on: May 05, 2021, 11:12:15 PM
The education industry is an ever growing industry and has evolved a lot over time.  Now people can remotely access educational contents and sit for examinations online. However i have not seen any good project with the aim to add even more value to people's lives through blockchain education.
Through its adoption student records can be stored safely on the blockchain in a tamper proof manner. Also Blockchain can act as a database with which authors, professors, innovators etc can uploaf their study materials and get rewarded when users access their work.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free transactions: What's the catch? on: May 05, 2021, 10:47:46 PM
Free transactions on the Blockchain are not economically viable and feasible because there are miners and validators that make it possible for transactions to be done, processed and validated on the blockchain. The case may be a very low transaction cost.
This happens mainly with new generation coins with a high speed blockchain and other algorithms apart for POW, algorithms like Proof of stake allows for a Blockchain to facilitate transactions at very low cost
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need Litecoin when we have Bitcoin Cash? on: May 05, 2021, 10:32:25 PM
I have personally not bought or used bitcoin cash at all but from the looks of it and my personal experience with litecoin LTC, i prefer lite coin.
Litecoin has a more stable Blockchain and the transaction fees is so low that its almost unbelievable. Transaction speed on the other hand is really slow and it takes a lot of time for transactions to get confirmed
