381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins! on: January 07, 2019, 05:54:01 PM
Putting aside all the myths of altcoins and how most of them are scams projects and may not be successful. The fact still remains that in a bull market all cryptos will increase in value.
Some will moon on their own will some will only price better because of the price of their trading peers but they all do better all the same.
So it is obviously not wise to dump all right now. You can instead just stay off some crypto related contents and media for some time. This could help you feel better rather than selling off all your investment.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are dead! Yeah I mean DEAD!!!! on: January 07, 2019, 05:06:47 PM
Failure of ICOs to reach their set targets is not only down to the project not being good enough, but also for the fact that good project or bad a lot of investors are noobs and don't understand the a lot of tech talk.
So most investors just wants to wait  out the bad market condition since they can still buy into the coin when the market is better.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: January 07, 2019, 04:49:26 PM
I personally do not believe in regrets but if I could change anything it would be to always trust my gut.
I have made some mistakes like FOMO into buying bee token which is about 0.02% ROI right now. I also held onto some tokens too long when I could have taken profit.

Greed is an emotion to put under control if you want to excel in crypto. Also note that there are no real market experts
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we compensate bounty hunters when ICOs fail? on: January 06, 2019, 11:59:19 PM
I think it is part of bounty hunting to actually promote the project. So a failure of the project to meets  its fundraising targets bounty hunters are made to feel the impact. However bounty hunters are human and deserve some sort of reward for the work that has been done
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bank and crypto industry unite or be linked? on: January 06, 2019, 11:52:30 PM
Banks are always looking for what will bring them more profit and customers. The crypto world has the power to provide this.
I think with some regulations guiding investments banks will start to use cryptocurrency to some capacity.
I think crypto still has what it takes to disrupt the banking sector
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy now or wait? on: January 06, 2019, 11:46:12 PM
Nobody can predict accurately how the market will behave or move in the short or long term.
It is important to have a maximum and minimum target for when to buy into cryptocurrencies. You can buy the dip tight now and the market will still go lower, likewise you can buy it now and the price will go higher. Best thing is to set an entry strategy for yourself.
387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crushing some crypto myths for newbies on: January 06, 2019, 11:29:33 PM
We as a community have taken decentralized and made it a buzzword. Bitcoin is also extremely effective at making centralized organizations transparent. I’m always disappointed with the lack of entities using the blockchain to strengthen transparency of their operations. I’ve even seen escrows go out of their way to not be transparent with their actions. We as a community need to demand greater levels of transparency from those that interact with the blockchain using other people’s money.
Transparency has to be the watchword in the crypto space. There are often thousands of people worldwide investing during ICOs and a lot of them lack the technical  knowledge of what is really happening.
I believe cryptocurrency and decentralized projects need to take the word transparency more seriously and give an unlimited and unbiased insight into what is going on with the money that have been invested in the company.
388  Other / Beginners & Help / Crushing some crypto myths for newbies on: January 05, 2019, 05:57:26 PM
Centralization is not totally bad
Centralization in the crypto space is not totally a bad idea as some fully decentralized projects have  not lived upto their centralized peers. A good example is binance vs the bulk if decentralized exchanges. Binance is head and shoulders above them as regards liquidity and market reach. However some centralized exchanges have shown signs of vulnerability. So this is somewhat of a mixed zone.

Hacking is very real and Privacy is important
Most newbies take privacy with a pinch salt. The while essence if the crypto and decentralized movement starts with privacy and anonymity. The more private you are about your crypto exploits the less likely you are to get hacked because you wont have the obvious target on your back. Also considering regulations about legality and taxation are still sketchy, it is better to keep everything private.

Currency trading is easy.
Trading of cryptocurrencies like other financial or traditional assets is not necessarily a hard task. However a trader has to me emotionally capable, always be ready to take profits from time to time (starving off his/her greed). Most importantly, if the market is going bad, don't rely on any crytpi experts. No one owns the market and no one knows how the market will behave. play it safe and you will be good.

I hope I have added value. kindly reply with your ideas.

390  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbies should focus more on the knowledge of the crypto space on: December 13, 2018, 10:29:01 PM
Most people making entries into the crypto space are going so based on the promises of "Magic internet money", a lot of people see it as a way to get rich quick which makes the frustration of a lot of people understandable, especially this year which has seen crypto assets on a continuous decline in value.

I think newbies should focus more on learning all the fundamentals,  they should make very good research and learn about solutions that are really achievable through the blockchain bases on the current progress of the technology.
This will not nly help guage expectations on both existing and new projects but will also help to guard against investing in scam or unrealistic projects.

Knowledge is important
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence on: September 16, 2018, 10:00:01 PM
It is a bad thing that in order to get airdrops if tokens that are going to be work a few cents or dollars, one has to fill KYC forms revealing sensitive personal information in the process, this combined with the fact that a lot of projects are scams, it is not worth it and this should be brought to an end. I think we uaers get exposed too much for exploitation from these ICO  projects.
I prefer not to fill any KYC form for airdrops
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can cryptocurrency succeed? on: September 14, 2018, 11:32:49 PM
The real value if cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology is not in what the market value or the total market cap is. The real value is in its adoption and how it is been used in thw read world by companies, individuals and businesses.
I think we are already approaching this adoption and although there would not beuch to be done if the regulations ate not in favor of cryptocurrencies, there is no reason to be skeptical.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake team VS no team on ICO. on: September 14, 2018, 10:45:53 PM
The team in charge of an ICO is almost as important as the ICO or project itself. When the team is shady or not transparent enough, there is a high chance that the project will be managed by a scammer and it will eventually fail.I think ICO teams should be more transparent and they should communicate with their community a lot because this builds trust which then eventually have a ripple effect on the community.
Leave non stone unturned when making research it is very important
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can cryptocurrency succeed? on: September 14, 2018, 10:32:37 PM
indeed, this is true, but we have to see from the other side, there are many obstacles to this crypto, one of which is a regulation that does not yet exist from government agencies, and there are some people who see the negative side of this crypto.

Yeah, Regulation is the major hurdle in the path of crypto and also many scared to adopt it due to hig up and down. Majority crypto used like as an investment more instead of solving real problems more. But with the time all the things are changing. Like investors not dumps like in the old days. And also projects with not much innovative ideas gets to failed. It's just beginning of crypto hope to see at good level in the coming years.  Cheesy

Yes definitely, you are right. However I think regulations are going to be a welcomed addition to this space because a lot of criminal activities ate going on in the crypto space which i think needs to be curbed. The ICO scams  for example ate too rampant in our time and also different kinds of market manipulation which may qualify as irregularities in a regulated system.
Regulations will only be a thing to stand against if it goes against the core values of the Blockchain which ate privacy and anonymity.
395  Other / Archival / Re: So many Bounties-Which one is trusted? on: September 14, 2018, 10:16:45 PM
Someone in this forum stated once That bounties is like opening a new box of chocolate, there is no predicting Why you will find inside or how it will taste. The amount of new project means That their is a lot of bounties out there but the problems is, unless the bounty is hosted and managed by a reputable company, there is no way to know if the rewards will be paid PR not as well as if the coins or tokens gotten in the end will be worth it.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / can cryptocurrency succeed? on: September 14, 2018, 10:08:35 PM
Cryptocurrencies have proven that we Can transact anonymously without a centralized interference.
The Blockchain has proven that data can be stored in a decentralized public ledger against any form of manipulation.
Smart contracts has proven that two or more people can trust a system in which the assigned contract managing it will be fair to all parties...

When speed, simplicity and efficiency is added to all of this I think decentralization and blockchain technology can go far in the real world as regards adoption.

What do you think of the chances of cryptocurrencies to succeed?.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge is the foundation on: September 14, 2018, 09:58:38 PM
Information is power indeed, when you are informed you will be able to recognize the right opportunities and make the right moves at the right times. Withy information comes wealth but some people seak wealth first and ignore information and will get a reality check later.
When I joined cryptocurrency I seek information and spend time to learn and learn and I will say I am still learning.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the King of ICO, Do you agree? on: September 14, 2018, 09:50:51 PM
I agree that Ethereum is still the beat Blockchain for development of new projects which says a lot of the incompetence od the so called new blockchain 3.0 and 4.0 which have mostly failed to live up to the hype on which they were developed upon. Ethereum is widely accepted and has proven to be easy to use for developers in the cryptocurrency space.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the time to buy! on: September 13, 2018, 11:37:54 PM
I like thia post because it highlights the truth That most crypto investors are fearful when the Market is down like this all forgeting that This is the best time to buy the dip and reap the potential high returns in a few months time. It is also a bad move to sell off any tokens right now and only newbies and inexperienced people are selling right now.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am most worried now on: September 13, 2018, 11:05:27 PM
A lot of  projects utilize the Ethereum blockchain for the creation of their platforms and this can mean both good or bad for the projects because it is good in the sense that more people will be buying the tokens, while bad because if it is scam project or a project that locks up tokens for a very long time more Ethereum is taken out of the market for tokens which will get dumped for pennies.
