241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from the fullest dip on: December 17, 2018, 07:13:46 PM
I believe this post referred to me... Lol. I have learnt a great deal from this dip albeit in a sad way. I will pick out the points about being greedy and loving a coin. These have been my qualities and I have been left to regret my chances countless number of times considering that, I hold on to tokens for far too long forgetting that this market is full of uncertainties. I have been left with losses due to the fact that, I refuse to take profits when I ought to and most times, these decisions come back to hurt me as a result of the tokens or coins dipping uncontrollably, failing to rise after such falls. Regrettably, I miss out on selling for decent profits in the process. This dip has been my recognition and never again will I be left exposed and hurt after this. I have learnt my lessons...
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FACTORS THAT AFFECTS THE PRICE OF AN ALTCOIN? on: December 16, 2018, 05:04:07 PM
In this market, several factors could directly or indirectly affect the price of coins. The major factor is speculative news from the crypto sectors. A negative news could instantly affect an altcoin causing rapid price drops. Also, a massive dump of a token by a holder on an exchange could lead to a fast reaction by other holders triggering price drops. Emotions could also have an effect in price fluctuations. This could come from panic selling from holders due to frustrations, once this happens, it builds up and leads to massive token sales resulting in price drops. This industry is highly on predictable and it is always wise to invest sensibly.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If all altcoins die, only Bitcoin is left, will it rise X100? on: December 16, 2018, 03:46:40 PM
Definitely.... But an x100 increment may be expecting too much. Bitcoin will increase rapidly as its demand will be way too much compared to supply. Considering the fact that it will be the only cryptocurrency needed for many transactions, it could become scare leading to a serious control in price by holders invariably leading to a much increased price. However, the possibility of a crypto industry with only bitcoin as the sole coin is almost impossible because there are other solid projects out there with wide scale usability.

245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any ALTCOIN ever overtake Bitcoin ? on: December 16, 2018, 10:26:11 AM
This is highly unlikely but in this industry, a lot of strange things happen and it will be stupid to completely rule out the possibility of another coin overtaking BTC. It has to do with acceptance and adoption as well as public backing. If a new coin gets such qualities and become highly adopted, it could mean better market capitalization as a result of liquidity (more buys and sells) leading to much improved and better usage. Ultimately, this will lead to people abandoning BTC for such a coin resulting in such a coin overtaking BTC in terms of adoptability/usage. But lke I said, this is highly unlikely since BTC controls almost everything in the market at the moment.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Rewarding signature campaign, are you satisfied? on: December 14, 2018, 10:51:28 PM
As with every given bounty campaign, you must be sure to read the rules carefully and abide by them. Most Bounty managers take their jobs seriously and may be very strict in their assessments of bounty tasks completed. Also, considering that most project allocate huge percentages to signature campaigns due to high prospects conversion , it is not uncommon to see them get stricter with the assessment of bounty signature campaigns. The advice is this, always ensure you fulfill the rules set aside on the bounty. If this is correctly done, then you will have no need to worry about your rewards.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is the best coin to buy now on: December 14, 2018, 10:43:18 PM
The best coin to buy remains bitcoin. Over time, Bitcoin has continued to prove itself as the most reliable and most resilient coin in the market. The reason isn't far fetched. It is the number one cryptocurrency and has every strength to rebound easily after a fall,  making it one of the few coins with the highest returns on investments over a given period of time. Bitcoin is one of the most widely used crypto assets and one with more potentials for the future. Investing in Bitcoin means, an investor can't go wrong and with the recent drop in its prices, it presents an even better opportunity to invest now at its base level and hold for more profits.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you raised money on ICO? on: December 12, 2018, 10:19:10 PM
Unfortunately, this year hasn't proven to be great for ICOs and new projects generally unlike last year. I raised a lot of money investing in decent ICOs last year where it was easy to find a new project listing doing x5 to x10 of their ICO prices. This year has seen several ICOs capitulate leaving investors with long faces. The reason isn't far fetched, they have been a lot of scam and poor projects springing up leading to dissatisfaction from potential investors. This effect has in turn lead to poor or inadequate investments from intending investors. Several projects have all failed as a result of this particular challenge.

250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does KYC gives you ? on: December 12, 2018, 07:33:06 PM
KYC Documents submission depends on the bounty/airdrop. This has recently become a requirement by most top projects. It wasn't like this when it started hence the decentralized nature of the crypto technology however, with recent compliance measures, projects have been forced to ensure Know Your Customer or KYC verification. There are risks associated with this. I read somewhere on this forum about people's KYC documents being sold online by some of these projects which could most possibly result in identity theft. One has to be very careful where and how your sensitive documents are submitted. You must be sure these projects are genuine and completely verifiable offline.
251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Drop As Low As $1000 This Year on: December 12, 2018, 06:07:25 PM
It wouldn't be surprising if this happened. If you carefully study the Bitcoin history, it isn't uncommon to see major sharp drops in prices only for it to pick up thereafter and complete an all time high level of price. This time around might be different. It might take some considerable amount of time before bitcoin rally around to mount another bullish run reason being that, a lot of people (holders) and traders are looking to cut their losses and sell at any slight increase in price, meaning, there are certainly more sellers than buyers with the resultant effect causing price drops. However, the good thing is, the whales are mopping up from the weak hands and it won't be long before they (whales) begin to pump the price.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: December 11, 2018, 10:51:41 PM
It could be a tricky and difficult thing to do since these privacy coins and projects live on anonymity. Tracking their developers and source codes to ban could be a herculean and almost impossible task. However, I still think privacy coins and projects contribute more harm than good, they are the ones giving the crypto innovation a bad name. The risks associated with privacy coins outweigh the good in them. For example, it could be very easy using a privacy token to carry out untraceable money laundering crimes, fund terrorism etc.. It is for this reason  major governments are against the crypto technology and privacy coins only add to the debate. Doing without privacy projects wouldn't be such a bad thing, instead it could help promote cryptocurrency and global adoption of the technology.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why up to 80% bounty campaign extend the deadline? on: December 11, 2018, 10:12:25 PM
The truth is, most projects have had to reschedule or postpone their ICOs indefinitely as a result of the turmoil in the market. The conditions aren't favorable to say the least with lots of investors pulling out of many ICOs for the fear of uncertainties and loss of investments. This has not only necessitated the various project developers to alter their roadmaps, it has also affected marketing plans where bounties are categorize. It has meant that, bounties have been pushed forward, extended or completely canceled. This wasn't the case some couple of months back where the market was relatively stable. We all need to be patient while we stir ourselves out of this current bearish run.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "What will ACTIVATE the next BULL RUN?" - CZ Binance on: December 11, 2018, 09:04:38 PM
The next bull will only Kickstart if there is a strong acceptance by Some of the biggest financial and monetary governing bodies, If these bodies put out a strong statement of acceptance. This will not only reassure the general public and world economies, it will lead to more investments from corporate finance companies and individuals and of course with new funds being pumped into the industry, we will likely see the bullish run again. We all know when more monies come in, it dictates the demand for coins/tokens leading to more purchasing activities. With that, the market will surely recover.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019? on: December 10, 2018, 09:49:12 PM
There are no guarantees whatsoever that 2019 will be better than 2018, in fact, could turn out to be worst. We must all come to that acceptance. The bullish run may take way longer than expected but we must keep hopes alive in the sense that, this technology (Blockchain) isn't going anywhere any time soon. It is a technology that will most definitely be adopted in all quarters and corners of the world meaning there is a greater chance of a bullish explosion in the long run. My advice to anyone is to give this space (crypto) 5 - 10 years to truly appreciate these humble beginnings. It will most definitely be a joy to look back on in the next couple of years. Be patient everyone, this isn't a get rich quick scheme!
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The POSITIVE effects of ETH going down on: December 10, 2018, 08:59:29 PM
I think the continuous drop in Ethereum prices presents a great opportunity for everyone who wished to get involved when Ethereum was still very low to join the party now. There are currently a lot of purchases made in large units of Ethereum by private investors who are quietly picking ETH at these low prices. It is strategic and a good way to invest in Ethereum and then wait for a significant pump in prices to make some very good returns. Everyone knows the use case of Ethereum and its usability, there is certainly a chance that Ethereum will appreciate greatly in price in the near future giving huge returns on investments to those who are taking advantage of the current price dumps. Do your research!
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will end the hype of ICO ? on: December 09, 2018, 09:31:54 PM
I believe most people are already seeing the risks involved in purchasing or buying into an ICO. The current bear market has exposed several people to the truth and why ICOs are never a good choice for investments. Most ICOs out there have no sustance with their sole intention to grab money and present only fictional promises to its investors. Seeing how well ICOs have burnt and cause losses in investor's funds, there is now widescale panic and loss of interest in patronage. Its only a matter of before people completely stop icos.

259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you sure about next year? on: December 09, 2018, 09:18:11 PM
I think it has to do with with the fact that, there are a lot of favorable expectations concerning the DAKKT verdict with many projecting that a positive verdict will result in more adoption of Bitcoin and the blockchain technology as a whole resulting in fresh monies from corporate investors coming into the industry leading to much improved value of the industry and affecting the prices of cryptocurrencies positively. The believe is that, there will be a boom in the market with investments in the market yielding profits. However, there is no guarantee that this will happen, its only a belief, an assumption at best!
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More and more Scam projects on: December 09, 2018, 09:07:06 PM
Am afraid, this may continue to be the case for the unforeseeable future. The primary reason for this is the fact that this space is unregulated and controlled by anonymity making it easy for cheap scams and all manner of atrocities. Fraudulent intentions continue to go unchecked as there is no real body responsible for vetting and inspection of upcoming projects. The solution to this menace is an installation of stringent rules and policies by a regulatory body to checkmate some of these crimes.
