I discovered that both of the most aggressive anti-bitcoin guys on youtube: rawdog and theweeklytelegram delete their past videos/accounts every couple of weeks or months, so they cannot be held accountable.
The weeklytelegram deleted all his videos about 4 weeks ago, then he made a couple of videos bashing bitcoin, then he deleted all his videos again last week, then he made a new video bashing bitcoin today.
Rawdog deleted his account a couple of weeks ago (deleting all his videos), and created a new one a couple of weeks ago.
How would you call this kind of public people that pathologically "clean their digital past" in a regular manner? Quite strange to me... Why being a public person and destroying your credibility this way?
Should we call them "digital amnesiacs?", "cyber Schizophreniacs?".... hmmm...
The asshole that is "weeklytelegram" has such an annoying nasally voice. I don't see how bitcoins invade into his territory. They're probably the same people who dismissed the idea of the internet when that was first introduced. |

Shiff bashed bitcoin before, he talked about it and said negative things about it like, no intrinsic value, its a scam, don't get caught holding the bag etc etc. I can already tell what the show will be like, he will repeat his warnings to not touch bitcoin. Especially after the Mt. Gox incident. Guarantee he will bring that up and will be bashing bitcoin. I don't know why but a majority of the precious metals community really don't like bitcoin. They don't understand the revolutionary impact it can have. I think its because they are focused on things intrinsicly and since bitcoin isn't physical they disclaim it right away.

I couldn't stop laughing reading that. I'm thinking more and more that allinvain is a genius with amazing foresight who planned a brilliant attack on all fearmongering factless news reporters. think about what the layman is thinking as they read that story - the only 'proof' that a heist actually occured is an anonymous guy claiming it on a forum and this claimers name is 'allinvain'. yeah, it totally looks like they fell hook line and sinker for a clever joke, they disregarded the whole 'news reports report on facts' thing in the name of an exciting story. If thats the case allinvain, then i salute you  i know, i know, if you respond to this then you must, for the sake of the game, insist it was all real, and please do. but like i said, in the event that you are a mastermind with incredible foresight - I salute ye! Someone who registered to this site long before the "heist" under the name "All_In_Vain" AND be the one who loses 25k BTCs... is that synchronicity or what? |

If you look up "Godlikeproductions" and "bitcoins" in google, you'll find that every single thread that was posted in relations with BTCs has been deleted.
Ask yourself, why would a topic like bitcoins be censored to this degree unless the powers-that-be are becoming cautious?

More exchanges helps not only to strengthen any one point of attack for trading but also helps keep each exchange more competitive with better support, better security and more updates. This needs to be done. Period.

I have yet to see evidence that government or banks are even attempting to fight bitcoin. Philipp P.S.: A senator or two giving an interview calling for action doesn't count. Governments have already trained the mindset of the public to reject new concepts such as Bitcoins. There's no need for an urgent massive attempt when the audience that Bitcoin needs to please are naturally fearful. Just look at the CBS report. In this sense, the government already has an upper hand. Plus, it's very easy to use dis-info agents as well. There was something in the news about how the US have developed training and "personality generators" designed to spread propaganda on the net, specifically in message boards. |

Get a large ample case or don't get one at all. I don't think a mid tower will be optimal.
It'd be throwing money away that you could otherwise spend on some fans positioned to cool a case-less rig.

1. No government is ever honest. They only do what they have to do in order to balance maximum social stability and their own needs.
2. If governments cannot find a way to use Bitcoins to benefit themselves in economical terms or some other agenda, they will stop it. Drugs, gangs, or otherwise.
3. If anything, the US gov. have already use the public's paranoia, the media, and dis-info tactics to control the growth of Bitcoins. They're interested in the project, but they don't want it to grow beyond their control. Better to have Bitcoins move up slowly rather than try to kill it altogether if it can prove to work FOR big brother.

1. Lack of security and safety measures. Sure you can take many extra steps to protect yourself but in case such measures are breached, who are you gonna go to? There are no laws or any entities that will take care of such issues.
2. Lack of more major exchanges. If something catastrophic happens to Mt. Gox there would be massive loss of confidence for those who are in the speculative realm.
3. Lack of proper media exposure, wrong associations and public unacceptable of the Bitcoin concept, at least thus far. For Bitcoins to work, it must be adopted by popular businesses.
4. More accessibility for the masses. The layman who really wants to get in may not have the patience to learn every hoop that he must leap through. The software may be ironed out over time but exactly how liquid and easy it would be to trade and convert BTCs into paper money will determine its popularity.

Hi there folks,
I'm in the process of building a mining rig right now with just 2x5830.
I'll be installing either Vista or XP on it. I can't go with Linux since I've never used that before and this PC will be used by people in my family who are not tech savvy.
Should I go with Vista (64) or XP?
I've also read that it is best to disable crossfire to get the best hashrate.
But I've also heard that without a crossfire connector, I'll need to connect both monitors to get both cards working or use a dummy plug.
Is this an issue with certain versions of Windows?
