This guy is calling out for satoshi to help navigate his misplaced idea of the market, very funny. If you had made more profit, would you be here asking for a feedback from satoshi or the admins? Get your head and notions straight and you will understand what the best course of action is also, if you had spent good but quality time here outside gambling and quick money system, you would have understood what to do. This shows your little time here so far wasn't well used.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why I haven't merited some 0 merit members on: November 20, 2018, 10:40:41 AM
One had bumped a 2015 thread with the single word "bump".
Could have been worse, like a repeated comment--this is something many indulge in as to hide the fact they are trying to bump a post.

Back to your post, this is an innovative way to help correct a lot of people from things they are doing wrong even if it doesn't entirely break any rule/ Posting your observations as you try to find value-filled posts or comments.
3  Other / Meta / Re: Merits for posters not making redundant quotes. on: November 03, 2018, 03:55:42 PM
True, quoting has to be controlled and managed. I was also part of the long line of people that quote entire content but over time, I developed this tired feeling whenever I try to quote when it is not necessary but mostly, I pick out my point of interest from the whole content or OP rather than quote it all. What annoys me is when I find pictures or codes in it
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies beware, Fake Binance email, bitcoin whitepaper anniversary scam. on: November 03, 2018, 03:43:01 PM
This 'airdrops' and 'bounties' has really cost good people their resources all in the name of 'free money'. It still surprises me that people venture into these things without equipping themselves with the right knowledge. In this case, the participant got informed on time and took necessary measures to prevent lost.

Also, how do we ensure that our details/information we give out during our involvement with an airdrop. I read there are cases where investors suffer same faith

When I had only created the account, I studied the rules superficially.

You got banned for plagiarism, one of the most discussed and reoccurring rule on the forum . This is common sense that copy and paste work is not valued as original/productive work anywhere.
Rules are created for several reasons and orderliness is one of those reasons and it also shows as a sign of seriousness. So, for you to have studied the rules 'superficially', shows you didn't think the forum was serious about its purpose and you never bothered to return to the rules as time progressed.

Too bad, things can not be changed.

I am Native persian speaker and persian board seems like a dead forum , time to time backilink sellers  sign up with new user and leave a link , thats all of the story there.
Today I saw something Special.
some one  copy pasted 4 Consecutive posts from https://arzdigital.com/monero-fees-fall-to-almost-zero-after-bulletproofs-upgrade/

Its the original post in persian board i quote.

Plagiarism is a 'no go area'. Therefore, if you notice such, you can help in your own way by reporting such post duly. There are few threads I have come across that deals with copy-paste posts as well as reporting in the right way as to reduce the forum getting crowded with topics of people trying to report issues like this.

Feel free to report plagiarism in this thread. But please make it easy on the moderators by checking modlog the next day (or a few days later) and edit your post when the account has been banned.
Example: username banned!

Quote
I think the admins should consider making everyone start on an equal playing field with zero merits and then everybody has to earn them from scratch. It's true that many people probably haven't earned their rank and got lucky just by signing up at the right time but then should Newbies be on the same starting point as someone who has been here for years and made a big contribution?

I believe this is what you call 'equality'. Having the same condition passed out to everyone. I doubt that would solve or even reduce anything. Even in reality, equality is still a big issue and comes with alot of criticism.

I also believe what the system experienced in your explanation is 'equity' conditions given out differ due to certain situations. I don't reject this. If some users here got merit by virtue of their availability at the right time here, then that is not much of a big deal(though I still see some heros and legendary ranks struggle with rules which is shocking to me), like they are being compensated for their time with the forum as it launches a new era or period. Taking this away or even giving more merits to some users currently would also bring about more issues and incoming new users will still complain about the unfairness of the system.

Generally, the system/rules WOULD NOT always suit everyone and every condition. However, if its positive purpose is achieved to the majority then I consider it as a success.

Satoshi will certainly be the anomaly here, though. I'm sure other more active users and even some of the most prolific would have difficulty having their older posts merited to such an extent. Most will be long buried and forgotten, whereas satoshi's will always have a spotlight on them. Even theymos doesn't post that much compared to the rest of the community but he is the most merited user here according to the merit stats and that's probably because he gets a lot for stickies and announcements of rules changes and so forth -- or people just like to suck up to him lol.

I don't feel very comfortable with this..yes, Satoshi is a recognized figure here and otherwise. His posts are historic and has some form of direction and inspiration but continual meriting such posts doesn't seem very ideal to me. Reflecting on the past is good not continual compensation rather that should be used to focus on the present. This doesn't mean value in satoshi's post or works will reduce neither will meriting it increase its value anymore than it is.

You could write a thesis on bitcoin and it might not be merited for all sorts of reasons.

This is one of the reasons spamming/plagiarism/repetition is still a major issue the forum has to always combat. In as much as we all don't want to entirely admit it, we humans, always want recognition almost immediately at all point if possible. Yes, there are lazy users that has no interests in contributing positive but only after what the he/she can take from the system yet, there are still that few that don't mind contributing as long as the will get the recognition.

Now and then, I see posts of existing users on parma-ban for mostly plagiarism and I wonder if these long term users never read the rules or the chose to ignore and why... Some part of me feels this may be the reason coupled with other factors like the individual just being lazy. I know we can't go all a sore of meriting all quality posts and all that but we can always make efforts noticed even through our comments. I know alot of new users appreciates when hero/lengendary users comment and share ideas relating to the new user's quality post. It gives feelings that almost competes with the feeling that comes with a merit.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: October 22, 2018, 12:17:39 PM

No one cares if they are a Newbie or not. I will merit anyone regardless of their rank if their post is good enough. Actually, I prefer to rank up low-rank because it "helps" them.

The problem is that finding a Newbie that deserves even a single merit is a hard task.

A quick read for you: MYTHBUSTERS: Only high ranked users are rewarded with merits

In my observation, quality post doesn't entirely guarantee a merit at the end of the day especially for the new users. Why I say this is, I have seen good posts/topics that has no merit yet I and so many new users learnt alot from it. It becomes a problem when a new user struggles to contribute in a way and it passes by without any form of recognition (merit) but what hurts the most is when one reads comments that indirectly makes it look like you are try to give quality only because of the merits(of course, the merit is part of the reason) however, there was a good struggle and lots of reading and research in other to produce that quality post that is being tag as 'desperately looking for merits'. That hurts so much.

I have had friends here before me and I am the first that has some how gotten 1 merit. At the end, I look at the whole statement and ask if it is fair. I am beginning to believe that geo location can be an issue as well. As a nigerian, it is rare before you see someone here that has fair and credible knowledge in the cryto space despite the fact we already have investors in bitcoins and it's counterparts. The first day I created a topic, I got so many questions from my friends asking how I got so much information and able to comprehend this forum in general and I tell them to read and patiently observe. Yes, this seems to be the good thing this whole merit system has brought--patience and acquired knowledge over time.

Most of the issues new users have comes from other new users. my short time here, I have also seen shitposts and so many complains that already has a solution. As a newbie, which I am despite having Jr. Rank, i acknowledge that I previously came in here for the bounties/signature campaigns but alone the lines, I have dropped the idea for now because I subconsciously noticed that shouldn't be my focus and I had a long way to go here which is more than sign- campaigns right now.

My point is, I don't see much of an issue with the merit system rather the problem is with the users. I once read a thread that is asking for new merit source but I don't think that will take away the issue of meriting good posts. If we had a clean forum, less shit posts/spam/repetition/ and more innovative contents, meriting won't be so much of an issue because users with smerits will be able to quickly identify good posts and threads as well have the easy desire to go through the forum with being mentally harmed or annoyed by bad contents and overcrowding topics.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: INVESTOR'S GUIDE 2 || THE RIGHT ICO VS THE RIGHT WAY TO INVEST on: October 17, 2018, 08:51:40 AM
Sometimes they do not leave the market, but they do not develop the product. We're looking at the token that never works. I hope some people can use the article you prepared.
There is no doubt that most ICOs are either scam or worthless projects however, not all are like this.. community statistics says 85-90% are in this situation that means, current generation of investors and participants are required to spend more time and effort with new means identifying those few projects that are going to succeed and keep development going.

Because on average when their tokens are listing on the market the price is very down. so it's better to focus on trading in altcoins with proven quality.

Same thing we are talking about. Worthless tokens ---anyways, I believe as we progress, good measures and ideas will be introduced as to save investors more money
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / INVESTOR'S GUIDE 2 || THE RIGHT ICO VS THE RIGHT WAY TO INVEST on: October 16, 2018, 02:43:06 PM
PROLOGUE : The importance of individual research and adequate inquiries can not be overemphasized. From investing in ICOs down to participating in bounties and airdrops all takes important attributes and meaning from us, like our time, efforts, energy, full cooperation, financial resources and privacy. All these things have high priorities to every individual therefore, one can get hurt psychologically or even physically by losing one or two of these possessions. Taking your time and patience to not only research about an ICO but to understand it in your own unique way can not be bought or ignored. All these are needed due to the extremely high raising rate of scam and failed projects.

As an investor, there are several things--attributes and red flag to check out for before investing in an ICO. Over time, several members of this forum has shared ideas and straight forward reasons that can assist investors identify a promising, scam and/or doomed ICO projects. They are; For;

Getting started: The returns of investing in ICO projects may not always be favorable however, as for most of us that invested in one or several projects that finally gave us a score, the returns has been worth it or we are still enjoying from it.

Picking your projects: I have seen many make the mistake of getting an exchange wallet and purchasing ethereum/bitcoin before looking for ICO projects to invest in. This doesn't seem like a good investing move to me because at the end of the day, you find yourself losing your composure thereby leading into haste and haste leads to quick decisions which in turn leads to bad judgement.
I would rather advice investor make and research for the projects they hope to invest that is, identify which project(s) that is/are looking for investors and research about them extensively using the means stated above and more found in the course of your own research. This will reduce your investment project lists since at the end, you will be able to select which project has more realistic goals from the once that has failed to convince you as an investor. For websites that lists upcoming and existing ICOs are;

Owning your wallet: Exchange wallets like coinbase or bittrex accounts are not your wallets, never imagine exchange wallets as your own wallet. A wallet is considered yours if you have absolute control of the contents/ private key with minimal or no risk. A very good example is MyEtherWallet. This allows investor to use Ether on the Ethereum blockchain and participate in ICOs. Investing in an ICO project through an exchange account will only yield loss of ICO tokens since most times, exchange has no support for new ICO tokens.

Converting FIAT to ETH
: Investing in ICOs requires you to convert your local currency(fiat) into ETH/BTC. This can be achieved by getting an exchange wallet. Coinbase is a good secure way to buy ETH into your exchange account. That being said, Coinbase doesn't support all currency as i have noticed and as for an alternative, i would personally recommend Luno(especially if you are in Africa, Nigeria to be precise). After-which, you move your purchased ETH into your private wallet and make your investments there.

Investing: After registration, as an investor, a receiving address will be found on the ICO web page. Usually, after proper research and going through the ICOs website, Investors would have figured out the right type of crypto, address and amount to send investment. This is also a very delicate aspect of investing correctly because if the wrong amount or cryptocurrency is sent, investors could lose their money or may not receive the tokens associated.

Tokens : After investing, tokens will be transferred to your private wallet. Mostly likely, the wallet investment was made from, in some cases, you will be required to add a wallet adrdress on the website or application i.e if a specified application was required in order to receive the token once the sale has ended. The ICO website/whitepaper will provide further information regarding how and when the token will be distributed.

Exchange : There is an issue of waiting for the token to be listed in an exchange and finding out which exchange has it listed. An alternative is that the tokens can be used on products/services offered by the company. Possible exchanges that lists ICO coins are ;

Better still, as an investor, an easier option to track your token is through Coin market capitalization and searching for the token, if it is listed in any exchange yet, it will be shown as well. Once comfortable with the stated price/volume, you can trade or chose to wait until you hit your price target.

Time is very important as an investor. Investor's/company's location can be challenging if not carefully noted during the token sales. If you missed investing during ICO then, you can still invest as soon as it gets listed in exchange. The only difference will be the discounted price/volumes early investors made.

NOTE : Several articles/guides from this forum are included/linked while making this as to help reduce loss and errors while investing especially for the new investors. Clickable words(just click on the word) exist through out this guide and shouldn't be ignore, also, owners of those guide should be recognized for their efforts as well. Thank you.

First - this is a topic meant for beginners and help forum since that is where the targeted audience are mostly.

Second - This will drive many new users in the wrong direction since it doesn't include the major essence of the this forum which is to study, learn, grow and be of good assistance not just about making money.

Third - you should include links and warnings if you are going to show new users on how to make money as to avoid loss
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the benefits of EOS? on: October 14, 2018, 06:50:04 PM
I have recently come across a number of projects with the tokens released on the basis of EOS. What's the reason behind it?

To put it plain, EOS is like an 'Operating system(OS)' for decentralized application (DAPPS).

It comes with good qualities like;
  • it's high transaction speed & scability
  • Free transaction fee is another great advantage

These qualities attracts developers into utilizing the platform. Every application on built on EOS platform is linked or connected  as they share information making development easier and faater

Good points. Too bad people tend to be impatient and invest without doing proper research.
Who knows, may be if people were more careful during ICOs hype there won`t be that many opportunist scam projects?

It's all about research and instincts(guts)

We all cry when the pain of not making adequate enquires comes but still, we don't get driven enough to edify ourselves
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU ARE YOUR OWN PROBLEM HERE on: October 11, 2018, 11:34:01 AM
my teacher once told me that everything we have in this world is limited and will soon run out, but knowledge is unlimited and there will be no end.

you are right and if we do not want to switch and cannot open the mindset to continue learning, then forever we will be colonized by our own stupidity and the scammer will always win.

This is exactly what scammers have over us. Knowledge to execute, these guys study hard and patiently. Most of us prefer letting and asking others to do our own research and giving us answers.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many beginners make money trading in Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2018, 11:11:25 AM
I've seen several members claiming to make a living by trading Bitcoin, and, whilst this is possible, it does require quite a degree of sophistication in my opinion. Always remember that for you to make a profit, somebody else has to make a loss, and the odds are even further against you, as there are two lots of trading fees that will be taken by the exchange. and there is probably a price spread to consider as well.

The price of Bitcoin seems to be manipulated at the moment, and many statistical changes seem to be triggered by major investors, rather than an indication of a price trend as a result of general market valuation. So, given that the odds seem to be stacked against you, I wonder how many beginners or new members are able to read the market accurately enough to make a profit from trading.

A profit on your side surely and most likely means a loss for someone else. I have engaged in BTC trading in the past well, until I had my account stolen due to hacked email and lost it. For now, I am trying to rebuild that's why I am on this forum
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU ARE YOUR OWN PROBLEM HERE on: October 11, 2018, 11:04:54 AM
And that's why its really important to do-your-own-research (DYOR) before investing into something. However, there are moments that even though you do all what have been suggested to you, you will still fall for the trap because scammers are very wise. I guess, there's really no one to blame but yourself, but at least you learn your lessons, sadly, in a very expensive way.

Exactly my point. We can't totally avoid it but there are moments and points when our research and learned knowledge can save us. Added with our guts
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU ARE YOUR OWN PROBLEM HERE on: October 11, 2018, 10:15:36 AM
if you have been scammed, you will know that the first thing to do after you got scam is always to blame the scammer, find everything about the scammer, make scam accusation thread, so we can inform others about the scam projects, and if there is a miracle we can get our money back.

Creating ways to warn others of scammed situation is very good towards helping others not fall victim of same condition however, I meant, when people show up shouting scam and hacks as if they did research before hand still fell victim. We all know it can not be totally predicted but our individual research can save alot
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suggestion Needed About Crypto on: October 11, 2018, 08:54:27 AM
Can anyone suggest me how the rate of these type of coins up-down?

There are several factors that affects the prices of cryptocurrency negatively and positively;

DEMAND AND SUPPLY - Shifts in cryptocurrency prices is due to the law of demand and supply changes. The price of an asset is dependent on the demand and supply of the said asset. Example, if there is high demand for a coin with low supply, the rate rises. If there is more supply than demand, the rate decreases.

MASS MEDIA/NEWS - Positive or negative reviews/analysis can also affect the rate of cryptocurrencies.

Can anyone advice me reliable coins that has their own signup system with client area where i can purchase and store coins in my own client area in their website?

some coins that I recommend are;

IOTA
STEEM
Stellar
Cardano
Tezos.

HOWEVER, UNDERSTAND YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND CONCLUSION IS WHAT MATTERS DURING INVESTING.
