I always believe that bitcoin is good for long term investment especially if you were able to acquire bitcoin in a lower price just like sometime last quarter of 2018. But, long term investment would make your investment stagnant for longer time. So, I suggest to divide your capital, part of it for long term and the rest for short term or day trading.
I don't think that it is advisable to combine both long term investment and day trading. You need to concentrate on any one of them. The strategy to be adopted is entirely different with these types of trading, and if you concentrate on one of them, your profit may get affected in the other. Also, not all the coins are suitable for day trading. Similarly not all the coins are suitable for long-term holding. You will end up spending a lot of resources and time, if you want to combine these. the important point in long-term investment is to be patient, then make sure that the coin has great potential like bitcoin. everyone is different in analyzing coins for investment but if the coin has great potential I don't think it is too risky. if trading make sure that the coin is stable and also don't focus too much on one coin if you want to make a lot of profit. |

But if you ask me which one out of the two are going to be more popular, then I would say that ETH is having a better chance when compared to BCH. Ether acts as an application platform, while BCH is limited to usage as a mode of payment.
It actually there is no need to ask for this cause as we know and mostly people will think that ETH is far better than of any altcoins in the market. We never think that BCH will go along with BTC and could have a way to to get rid of ETH in the market.
