IOTA is not hitting exchanges yet because the software isn't tested properly and the network not big and stable enough to throw it into the lioncage where a lot of potato-lions are waiting to make the same mistakes over and over again.
We need more testers and people for the nodes.

Running a node would cost money, if there is no insensitive, why does a person run a node, except IOTA holders. In my IP list, some of them are already dead now. I cost 300+ USD per month to run a node, if I am not a IOTA holder, I will not do this thing. I'm running a node and there is now way it cost 300$ a month. Exemplary calculation: Node in idle on my desktop Xeon: 132watts. 132 x 24h = 3.1 kiloWatts/day 3.1 kW x 30 = 93 kW Kilowatt price Germany atm: 28,69 Cent 93kw x 28,69 cents = 26 € 26€ x 1,07142 (factor: €/$) = 28,587307014 $ Spamming would double the outcome I guess. So. If you cannot spare 30 dollar on a new technology, but you are able to work/play with cryptocurrencies in general, then you're doing something wrong. But lets be honest: we all know that the majority of people is just here to make money and don't wanna step up to change things in this realm so I guess you have to wait for that day because the testing WILL be completed before it's getting listed. Dom and David were pretty clear about that. Man, my node is on AWS(m4.xlarge), my local IP doesn't work at all. |

On 25 december the distribution of byteball tokens will happen.
WOW, so the first tangle hitting exchange is byteball....no idea what iota is waiting for  Giving free hype to other project... Changing the world in its own room??? The 25th is when byteball starts distribution to users, not when it hits exchanges, but who cares, they are entirely different plus Iota has a Foundation, Dev Team, and numerous legitimate business partnerships, Byteball is far from that and targeting an entirely different market. Byteball is only a copy of IOTA,nothing else, but for IOTA, not sure what David is waiting for,why it is not listed on exchange until now which is supposed to be in it on September. |

Very interesting distribution model, big Bitcoin holders don't need to do anything and they will get Byteball for free, someone interested in this coin but don't hold Bitcoin will not get any Byteball, it's fucking ridiculous! How can you build up Byteball community in this way?! No one would spend efforts on something they can't get profits.
And this is not fair because Bitcoin distribution is not fair.

I deposited some ETC to my Poloniex account with non-forked 0.8.1 wallet, but it shows successful in wallet but can't see them in polo, how to track this issue? Is there something wrong?
