Development Update

Thank you all for helping us for test the network. It is really great that this new coin with currently zero value and non existent market cap is bringing together users to develop a novel technology!

Currently there are over 50 test nodes on the network both on Linux and Windows OS. Several hard forks have been carried out during the last week to fix errors and faults. These aren't fundamental design flaws, but mainly performance related issues and software bugs. The role of this combined test effort is to finalize the protocol and software code. As the test goes on the number of nodes will be increased and new accounts will be added to the test network.

As we promised, the coins that were forged during the test will be transferred to the live network. This process will be transparent and the number of coins forged by each user account will be verifiable on the block chain.

We received several messages regarding the ICO and pre-sale. The distribution method has not been finalized yet, but as it stands now, the developer team is not comfortable enough to enter into an ICO or pre-sale process and to ask money for this coin. It seems most of the ICO process inevitable results in a lower price than the initial coin offering price was, it causes losses to investors and puts day trading pressure on the coin while we develop this technology with a longer view. We think the best way to handle the coin distribution is to allow forging process generate the coins and the free market decides the price. The forging is even more democratic, transparent and accessible for average computer users than mining, and in this case no GadgetCoin developers nor the GDC Foundation will take money from investors. Please let us know what you think?

Actually I prefer an IPO but I respect the developer team's decision, let us forge this great coin.

You could be right about the IPO and can be some positives there which I can't see, so could you explain please, how exactly an IPO/ICO can be beneficial for us, investors in a market where 95% of the coins are scam. Isn't a big risk to pay money for a coin prior to the software is released and fully operational?

I read the whitepaper and all of their posts and I trust them, they will deliver a great software, so they deserve the IPO money for their hard work, as you know developer team is the most important factor in a project.

Forging is a good idea, IPO/ICO will attract malicious investors, they buy the coins in IPO/ICO phase and sell them out after it hits exchange, it will hit long-term project very much.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE WALL OF SHAME on: November 28, 2014, 09:01:11 AM
MORE ON BAY. STAY AWAY!

Price is now, more or less, around the ICO's. Do not be fooled into believing the the selling will stop, because it will not. It is being relentless although contained, but make no mistake about it: These scammers want your money. They have hundreds of millions of coins to unload, hundreds of millions. And the paid NOTHING for them, understand. It's all profit, no matter if they sell at 250 sat, at 200, at 150 or even at 25 sat. All if profit. And you, the ICO buyers, and those buying from them still, will be holding the bag. As stated above, the scam success depends on you -or enough people- believing they actually sold 1 billion coins for 3,000 BTC. They did not. Not even close. They sold them to themselves, which means they did not sell at all. Not more than a few hundred BTC, at the most. The rest is right hand paying left hand and everything to the same pocket.

There's no connection with Alibaba either, that was just taking advantage of the brouahaha made by the successful IPO of Alibaba in the American stock market. There's absolutely nothing behind this project, nothing whatsoever. Just an elaborate and yet quite transparent scam. I will not worn anyone anymore. You have been told. Just stay away and let the scam manifest itself. You don't need to be hurt by this one.

It does make sense, what do you think of Tilecoin, ASIC-8Tile is working hard on it.

Oh, man, you want 3000 BTC without a working software!!!! We even don't know who you are!
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|ICO LIVE on Bter on: November 16, 2014, 02:32:13 AM
I like this coin, but 3000BTC is really huge, as far as know, if IPO amount is more than 1000 BTC, almost of them sink down the IPO price when it hits exchanges.

Nice try. Even the lowest marketcap of the top 10 coins is 25,000BTC. People investing now know this is definitely a top 10 coin, top 5 actually. ie its cheap.

I told you guys price will be under ICO price soon after it hits exchange if they want 3000BTC, now you know what I said is right, the price is only 200sat now and no buy wall!

147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN:[BAY] BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|ICO on Bter on: November 11, 2014, 07:12:32 AM
puffing resources about alibaba and major Chinese exchanges from this Coin organizer is biggest mistake from beginning. All the fancy promises makes it too good to be true.  I am not actually fudding now. I am asking questions.  Please prove it first. I am not questioning David Zimbeck, who grants bithalo license to this team. I am questioning the team behind. specifically  the Chinese man behind.
If he do not intend to reveal more details about himself. Please prove his ability in one way or another. The ability I mean his resources from alibaba or other companies in China.

I noticed some Chinese bitcoin/altcoin media reports, but i didn't find anything about above mentioned info, which makes it very fishy. Why don't they mention all these advantages on Chinese media? cuz questioning from Chinese investors?

Youve got a valid point here. There is a good amount of uncertainty. I'm the type to respect the privacy of my associates. From the discussions we had, their actions and the fact that I will be meeting one of the team members personally in a few weeks quells my superstitions. But hey, you never know where this coin is gonna go. Thats why just take a "wait and see" attitude. By the way, from the discussions I had with these guys, they are not really at all like Tilecoin. Mostly, we talked about mesh networks and seeing if we could get some manufacturers here in Asia to make routers, radio devices or special tethering phones with software on it to create a giant mesh network. If we can really do that, this coin will actually be worth more than money because mesh networks is about freedom. The idea of a mesh network and having no IP addresses is pretty much the liberation of the entire internet and Telcom industry. Not saying we will get that far but if they do well its in the road map.

Thanks David, you are the only reason I stay here and keep asking questions.  no more.
And I have very reliable leads to question this team. This is not only concern of bitbay/bter/tile/blk, but more. many ppl will involved sooner or later. I am not only in tile, but in many coins, including blk. but most of my recent holdings and once before are scams. I can dump them anytime. But i am serious investor anyway, and most survivals in current altcoin world are. My questions are their questions. These guys can revive the market if they still believe in something. if they are pissed off, every coin will turn to a mess.

If the team especially the Chinese member can prove his ability in Mainland China in one way or another, I would love to stop questioning or fudding, whatever they call it.

Sir.

This is the last time we will reply to you concerning our team and who's in it. We have already explained that our team members are located globally. Our connections in China run deep. I can assure you of this. We have a member who was a higher level employee at Alibaba and with him brings years of experience in that field. He also comes with many vendors who are already waiting for the marketplace to start selling goods worldwide and not need to rely on a third party or pay high fees just to be able to sell a product to someone in the UK. We'll be releasing some more information on our team members shortly. I recommend that you take Mr Zimbeck's advice and take the "wait and see" approach. It cant hurt.

We thank you for your concern and look forward to providing you with further info regarding the team at a later point.

If Ma Yun knows who is this guy in Alibaba, he will fire him immediately, it runs against commercial morality.

one of the more hilariously bad fud attempts i have ever seen. i applaud you.

your post is so bad it has convinced me to invest in bitbay.

It's up to you, I have warned you, if you loss your money in this coin, don't blame others.By the way, 3000 BTC is only for a new coin in current situation, it's too greedy, there is no profit for investor only risks.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [BitBay discusstion]What do you think of BitBay, this is un-moderated thread on: November 10, 2014, 08:05:13 AM
Through my investigation, this coin's author is a Chinese guy which hires  David Zimbeck to leverage his knowledge on smart contract, that's all, let's suppose he can raise 3000 BTC in IPO, and pays David 500 BTC at most, so he can get 2500 BTC, this is why there is no PoD of dev team, as you guys know, house is very expensive in China, young man has a big pressure on houses, marriage, after this guy gets these 2500 BTC, he can marry with his lover, do you really think he will spend these money on the development, it's so naive.

I recall Maidsafe, Supernet which has a huge IPO amount, good luck guys.... Grin
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN:[BAY] BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|ICO on Bter on: November 07, 2014, 12:43:02 PM
I see an interesting and ambitious project here, people are tired of scamming ICOs so it's a difficult time for a 3000BTCs ICO, but I see this coin within top 10 in a month, that means a marketcap of at least 25000BTCs

If you review top10 coins by marketcap you will see that clearly this one has much more to offer than those there, go check yourself the coins with marketcap higher than 3000BTC, lol.

What do you think of Tilecoin?

153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Predict when Dogecoin and Litecoin die on: November 05, 2014, 05:25:18 AM
As you know, Dogecoin and Litecoin just a clone of Bitcoin, there is nothing new, the blockchain tech is developing all the time, so let's predict when these two sh*t coins die?
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: November 03, 2014, 02:32:58 AM
Is this the official thread of Skycoin? Still in development?

Yes it is. IPO coming up.
I hate IPO coins, too many SCAMs... Sad

If there is escrow available then i see no problem

yes, there is still the problem that ipo can be selfbought by the one releasing it (free premine of any size)

I can't buy ipo/ico, sorry. No matter how good the coin looks. And any coin launched via IPO i will not trade before it survived a year minimum.

Ipo makes a coin toxic.

Just my 2 cents. Would have loved to buy this, but ipo: stick it up the ass

escrow isn't by far the only concern with ipo/ico

Quite the opposite, I like IPO/ICO coins, but there is a prerequisite, it will NOT be a huge IPO/ICO like Ethereum, Maidsafe,Suprnet, or the price will be f**k up.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][ZEN] Zennet: Decentralized Supercomputer - Official Thread on: October 31, 2014, 08:10:34 AM

In this pre-sale we will sell 10% of all future Zencoins that will exist. The community will set the price. The coins will be distributed proportionate to the amount each buyer bought in BTC/USD (average) value (in order to be fair to all buyers disregarding BTC ups and downs. It doesn't matter from our side), and not according to a fixed price.

Man, 10% is too small, there will not profit for investors.

+1

We need a benefit balance between developer with investor, developer works hard to deliver a good product, investor invests it to get some profit, win-win is real win.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XTC] TileCoin| BTER.COM ICS Bill Payments/Investment/IoT ĐApp on: October 29, 2014, 09:40:38 AM
@DEV, some guys in Chinese community said XTC is bullshit, the below are their points:
1. XTC is based on BTC blockchain, there is no blockchain of itself's, so how to develop treechain and sidechain.
2. there are bare posts in XTC ANN, most traders are from China.
3. XTC is only copycat of XCP, it used protocol of Counterparty's, just like Chancecoin.
4. Those Skype guys only works for money, when they got money after two months later, they will not take care of XTC any more.
5. Regarding payment via Internet of Things, the confirmation time is about 10 minutes,do the merchants stand the time?
6. Is ASIC-8Tile the core developer of QORA? From his post history, we don't see anything he did for QORA.

Could you clarify these things?

From my point view, some above points are absolute bullshits, maybe these guys just want to FUD XTC, but if ASIC-8Tile can comment these bullshits, it's very helpful to let more guys know this project correctly.

159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: money flows to developers from traders gradually on: October 20, 2014, 03:58:17 AM
Especially Ethernum, the developers took us 30000+ BTC and sold them to get fiat, it harmed the altcoins market very much.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / money flows to developers from traders gradually on: October 20, 2014, 03:56:03 AM
There is a trend, developers get our BTC then sell them to get fiat and the community get the shit alt coins, so traders will be more and more poor, developers will be more and more rich, what do you think.
