1  Local / India / Re: How many of us have skills that can be used in crypto. on: December 02, 2018, 06:16:55 PM
Well its and interesting topic.
As per me there are various kind/types of skill required in crypto space apart from Signature campaign. These includes
  • Mining - If you are invested in mining you are helping in securing the network
  • POS / DPOS - This is basically HODLing Tongue and getting some money out of it
  • Masternodes - Well VPS server have never been so popular. if you know some basic Linux knowledge and can host a masternode then its one of the most desired service any newbie wants
  • Network Forking - If you know how to compile code, then you have already taken the first step in creating your own blockchain. There are still many projects who want to branch out of some crypto and make their own vision. It can be one of the most desired skill in crypto
  • Smart contract - Its one of the most easiest and most hyped. Its basically writing some JavaScript kind of logic into a world machine  Lips sealed
  • Blockchain for Industry - One of the most demanding jobs in IT sector as of now, where companies want to set up their private blockchain networks which doesn't include process like mining
  • Educating people about Crypto & Blockchain - Having and making YouTube videos is kind of a skill

Now coming to the skills people posses
I believe most of us in bitcointalk have knowledge about Mining, POS or DPOS  Cheesy
People with the knowledge of how to set up Masternodes are very limited in India  Shocked
Smartcontract - its way too common, any decent programmer can do it  Wink
We have a lot of YouTubers spreading crypto content, so knowledge in this sector is ample Cool
The most rare will be Network Forking and Creating an enterprise level blockchain infrastructure  Huh

About Me :
I myself have knowledge about all the above except Network Forking & successfully deploying it.
2  Local / India / Re: Anyone do bitcoin contract trading? on: December 02, 2018, 05:55:26 PM
If you are interested in Margin trading you can check Bitfinex.
Their mobile app is quite good.

I have personally used it. I would also like to suggest the below points from my experience.
  • if you are a complete beginner go for max 2x leverage
  • Its too risky and you have to keep hard stoploss
  • Keep emotions at home
  • Learn about swing trading & technical analysis
3  Local / India / Re: Bitcoin Prediction on: November 28, 2018, 05:21:23 PM
What does your speculation say? What will be Bitcoin's bottom out value?
Will it be at $3000 - $4000 or It will go to the Moon!!
Its hard to say it will come to $3000 as at this point mining will be a huge loss. So miners wont be willing to sell below it, this will only drive the price higher.
The only reason it happened was because of the Bitcoin cash war. Both the sides hold a quite large amount of BTC. They sold it to buy hashpower so that they can become the winner in this mad race. Bitcoin cash is the real junk of Bitcoin.

So the only possibility left is up as more and more stores, shops, cities and countries have started accepting crypto. But I doubt we will see those insane rise in valuation like 2017. It will be slow and steady.
4  Local / India / Re: Good News For Blockchain Developers in India on: November 28, 2018, 05:16:02 PM
Crypto Study release recently done by UK based blockchain consulting Firm name Dappros result is 1.USA & 2. India as the highest number of blockchain developers, Keep going India😇

Nothing much to rejoice upon. India already had one of the largest Software developer base in the world. With the advent of Blockchain, a few of them learned how to code Smart contracts and have become blockchain developers. There are mere devs on the existing Blockchain networks. Very few of the existing bunch are engaged in cutting edge innovation such as improvement of Blockchain, research, developing newer methods and all.

India always remains as a top talent house for technologies. But the issue is that, majority of these talents work for offshore companies remotely from India.
I would agree with top but not with talent house analogy. Most of the "devs" in the country are bheedchal and lack the ability to create anything new.

Quote
So neither Indians are not able to explore the possibilities of blockchain, nor reap the benefits. We have very few home grown companies that works in this domain because of the orthodox mentality of our government. So it's an encouraging news for the talents of India but not for the benefits of India.

What benefits are we not able to exploit? You can use Blockchain as you want. If you are talking about being able to trade cryptocurrencies as being a roadblock in blockchain development, then I don't understand the correlation. There has been no such steps taken which inhibits the growth of Blockchain. You are free to work on Blockchain (as a matter of fact 100's of companies operate in India in the field of Blockchain), it is just that you cannot use Indian banking system to trade in Cryptocurrency. Don't mix up trading and Blockchain development.
I completely agree, no one is stopping blockchain development in India. But I think crypto based blockchain startup would have been a boom provided the Government approach was liberal towards cryptocurrency.

Crypto is a billion dollar market and not to have a piece of it, is sad. There are awesome crypto projects that was huge success in countries like US because of their attitude towards technology. With such a vast potential in Indian market its sad that there is not a single crypto project from India in top 100 of coinmarketcap.
5  Local / India / Re: Karnataka Government is working for crypto! on: November 24, 2018, 12:14:13 PM
Until RBI gives a thumbs up, no state can implement crypto framework but no one can stop them from working on it.
Someday RBI has to come up with regulation.

Good or bad RBI's decision has to be accepted if you stay in India.

But do you have any links to confirm the source of your information ?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zencash: Excellent potential? on: November 15, 2018, 05:31:04 PM
If you are interested in HoriZen and want to really know the potential then do read the report released by Greyscale.
https://grayscale.co/insights/

Well this might not be something new for those who are already following ZEN but definitely a good read for people who are exploring good projects with real problem solving abilities.
7  Local / India / Re: What will you do if crypto is declared illegal in India ? on: November 14, 2018, 03:03:24 PM
But I don't think that the government will go as far as banning the cryptocurrency in the country.

I completely agree, this is just a fantasy topic to open our creative minds and present your ideas.
Regarding VPN, I don't think it will be a problem if you are following SUBSTRATUM project.
Secondly, Once your crypto is converted to some anonymous coins you have already become invisible, even if you carry out transactions in plain sight.

Ok GUYS just one thing, as soon as we try to convert it to INR there is big possibility of losing your anonymity.
So my thought process doesn't include converting crypto to any Fiat currencies.

Do share your other awesome ideas.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]PikCars- Revolutionizing Ridesharing Through Blockchain & Social Network! on: November 12, 2018, 02:41:34 PM
Project is interesting and can definitely gain momentum.
Its like sharing ride and earning crypto for it.

Crypto slowly pushing its way into main stream.
Its would be also nice if we can directly convert the coins directly into BTC without going to any exchange.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT on: November 12, 2018, 02:35:40 PM
Wow interesting way of creating awareness. This post should be pinned for ever.
Really appreciate the way people are investing their time to create such awareness project.

The way this is presented is really tempting for a small investor to pitch-in.
Scamming in crypto has become a business now, with such power & freedom that crypto gives us people usually get fooled.

Loved this idea of creating such website - https://www.howeycoins.com/

10  Other / Meta / Re: Analysis – Sender’s Merit Network – How does it evolve? on: November 11, 2018, 06:11:15 PM
wow interesting read about Merits.

Your posts are generally quite good. I thinks that's the reason even which less activity your merits are skyrocketing.
We need to earn merits (sometimes we get lucky) but quality post like this should be an example.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NO-PREMINE][QuarryMN][EtherGEM] An ethereum network with a different view on: November 11, 2018, 05:40:35 PM
How is EGem different than ethereum apart from few basic changes.
I want to know what exactly do you plan to achieve.

If its just about speed then there are a lot of other networks like EOS, Tron which can achieve the same.
If its just about a different skin of Ether then it makes no sense.
Ethereum also has a list of plans to make a move towards POS, along with addressing the scalability issue. If they are successful then there wont be any need for EGem.

Just curious about why are people supporting this project.
Looks like a lot of shilling going on in twitter for the same.
12  Local / India / Re: CoinYEP.com simple currency converter. मुद्रा परिवर्तक on: November 08, 2018, 03:58:59 AM
Its a good one.

Initially i thought its kind of an exchange like shapeshift, but then found put its only currency converter.
Data is not updated in real-time but it kind gives a nearly accurate result especially when you want to check the value of BTC in different fiat and crypto.

Thanks for sharing.

Hehehe.......remove the last part my friend. As of people who already know the magic of crypto are holding into it.But sharing such good ideas will definitely get attention and people will start doing some naughty things Grin Grin.Regulations will take a long time to be implemented here, people are already slowly moving their investments and safeguarding them, and we all know how much un-accounted money exists here. Grin Grin
Abhi tak toh waise bhi Supreme court mein tarikh pe tarikh and all and if again people start doing stuffs like these tab toh bhai pakka ban ho jayega. Grin Grin
Anyway found a very good post after a log time.I thing i would like to add I prefer monero over other privacy coins. Tongue.Have great day all.
Yeah, even while writing the last part I was having concerns as it's about privacy. My point is If you have power you can do both good and bad. The important thing is to know that you have power.

Privacy is basic human right. But big organization like FB have taken it for granted. Now the situation is like, if I talk about privacy, I'm doing something illegal. This idea of privacy = illegal has been imposed on us by big players.

16  Local / India / What will you do if crypto is declared illegal in India ? on: November 02, 2018, 02:46:26 PM
I knowingly didn't ask What will you do if crypto is banned in India ? as many of us who are here know Crypto is unstoppable and can't be banned.

So I asked whats your plan just in case crypto is banned ?

If you ask me, I would say I am going HODL my crypto no matter what for the below reasons.

1 - I feel like investing something in the future
2 - I only have invested that much which I am ready to loose
3 - I believe crypto is more powerful and if made illegal today has to be declared legal someday.
4 - There are many developed country where its legal and traded freely, I can get it exchanged anytime if I visit.
5 - In case I can't visit I can always get it exchanged as Indians are everywhere, after all Its my hard earned money. Not earned by doing corruption  Wink

Next ... If you want to become completely Anonymous and remove all trace of your existence, Then its very simple

1 - I will convert all my BTC and other coins to some privacy crypto like HoriZen or ZCash (as I have already used them)
2 - Then I will use shielded transaction to send to to another shielded address, Thereby making it untraceable
3 - Convert HoriZen back to BTC using Decentralized exchange
4 - From the Decentralized exchange I will send BTC to a new BTC address.

Thus making myself completely anonymous  Cool  Shocked

This is an imaginary topic. Crypto as of today is not illegal to hold in INDIA, but do share your thoughts / plan might be helpful for someone Cheesy
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Altcoins will be a big competitor to Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2018, 06:10:31 PM
Bitcoin is the King, not so easy to replace.
But for quick gains you should consider Altcoins, but always keep max of your reserve in BTC.
18  Local / India / Re: India may completely ban all Crypto as per meeting held on 30 oct on: November 01, 2018, 04:38:30 PM
This is again a part of spreading FUD. Until some actual news comes up you can relay on mainstream media.
They always have been providing wrong info, its nothing new.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zencash: Excellent potential? on: November 01, 2018, 10:16:39 AM
Horizen has the properties of all the famous crypto currency.
1. The DNA of Bitcoin
2. Privacy feature of Zcash
3. Smart contract feature of Ethereum
4. DAO & Masternode concept from Dash

What more features you want to determine the potential of a crypto ?
Also do share if I'm missing something.
