1  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if? on: May 07, 2020, 05:07:09 PM
It's a business, if the others lack the other feature, the other will take advantage and add that feature that's needed.

While what you say is true, keep in mind that those small exchanges will not even account for 50% of the orders.
In such hypothetical scenario I can guarantee that small exchanges will not take that risk (or they do it but they
won't be able to sustain the demand).

I have no intentions on dumping my crypto, but If I didn't have the option then these assets have 0 value. Same goes for sell only.

It's funny how Bitcoin was supposed to become a peer to peer cryptocurrency and not a store of value or asset. You may still
purchase things using Bitcoin from the stores accepting bitcoin so they still have some value if we force it.

Aight, too much power is given to cryptocurrency exchanges and nobody is realising that. They have the power to decide if you
can "cash out" or not. They have terms to decide if you are suspicious enough to close your account anytime, even if you purchased
crypto on their exchange and never moved the money (just google such cases). Put yourself in the hypothetical
scenario of a multi-millionaire. You simply won't be able to withdraw your money and that's what is keeping "big guys" from joining.
The space became a DISTRIBUTED centralised power. It's decentralised but it's owned by the few. Not that I have something against
bureaucracy or "hierarchical systems" but the barriers to enter are too high and it's made like this to maintain the current power .
The reward to such entry is difficult to establish with accuracy.

I am taking a small break from cryptocurrencies, at least for a few months or years. Good luck all
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if? on: May 06, 2020, 03:36:16 PM
I'll let you in on a little secret: the amount bought is exactly the same as the amount sold.

Sorry, I wanted to say sold by cryptocurrency exchanges themselves and not users. Basically "dumping"

All major cryptocurrency exchanges turn into "bad guys" and only allow people to buy bitcoin and not sell it
do you think that this will have a positive impact over Bitcoin's price?

Yes, because if ever this might happen, Bitcoin will actually be considered as the victim in your scenario.

Don't you think that people will try to sell bitcoin for less and therefore impact the price?
3  Other / Off-topic / What if? on: May 06, 2020, 03:19:31 PM
Stupid question but what if:

All major cryptocurrency exchanges turn into "bad guys" and only allow people to buy bitcoin and not sell it
do you think that this will have a positive impact over Bitcoin's price?

Now the reverse scenario:
All major cryptocurrency exchanges only allow people to sell bitcoin and not buy it
do you think that this will have a positive impact over Bitcoin's price?

NOTICE: The bitcoins bought come from the cryptocurrency exchanges and not other users, so basically a massive "dumping" of crypto exchanges
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Ending of Covid-19 on: May 02, 2020, 11:23:20 PM
Imagine if there was a movie about your life and there is a cut-scene where you post
this topic here about the ending of covid-19

Do you think your life is:

  • comedy
  • action
  • sci-fi
  • documentary
  • something else

Now based on your life's genre, we have different outcomes:

comedy
The next cut-scene is May 31 where covid-19 cases have doubled and recovery rate has halved like Bitcoin. Economy is dying
and there are no supplies.
It's funny because you HODL bitcoin before that and you now have a lot of money you can't spend.

action
The next cut-scene is May 31. The virus has evolved and is now transforming people in zombies. The world became
an unconstitutional anarchy and everyone is in survive mode. Your job to save the world depends on a trip to Area 51
where there is this hidden secret gun that when you shoot in the air it makes everyone virus-free. The problem? Everyone in
Area 51 is infected.

sci-fi
The situation is as bad as in the action movie. Your scientist friend Franz Archimedes informed you about his recent discovery of
time travelling machine. He needs some items/elements that can be found only in Moscow, Russia ; Wuhan, China ; Milan, Italy  and NYC, US.
You bring those elements back to him but the time travelling went wrong and you went in the future rather than the past. Bitcoin is at $10,000,000/BTC (adjusted for 2020 dollar)
The movie extends for like 4 - 5 hours.

documentary
Here we see mister virasog in his natural habitat. It's the mating period and he is looking for a girl but unfortunately can't find one. What he doesn't
know is that he is currently being watched by a dangerous hunter: the covid-19. Mister virasog however is not an easy prey. He was gifted by nature
with the ability of staying home and washing his hands very often.

5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tesla, Elon Musk and Twitter on: May 02, 2020, 11:52:34 AM
Zoom's CEO said that Zoom's stock was overpriced when Zoom went public and he is fine, never had a problem.
Got a source? Couldn't find a single article about it with a minute of Googling.

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Tesla, Elon Musk and Twitter on: May 02, 2020, 12:04:30 AM
Elon Musk's tweet wipes $14bn of Tesla's value.

Many people think he will face issues with SEC again. I tell you this is not going to happen.
Zoom's CEO said that Zoom's stock was overpriced when Zoom went public and he is fine, never had a problem.

Chances are that if you have tesla stock (no leverage) you will still recover and make a profit.
7  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How can we profit from the current global economic reset? on: May 01, 2020, 09:17:49 PM
There is this guy who has a $trillion dollar business opportunity. While this may sound crazy, I believe his sayings.
He is the patent owner for drones flying 24/7 in a system he developed. Unfortunately his topic is deleted now but
maybe you can find it in Archival

(old topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5200197.0 )

This company is the safest bet I would ever take if I were an investor. The website and everything is at the beggining
and doesn't look at its best (https://inairway.com/) however when the investment will come in it will be much
better because more resources available.

Why is this a safe bet?
The patent for it places the company in a position of power. If Amazon ever thinks of delivering through drones they
will have to pay this company (or buy it lol)
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need an advice!!! what would you do? on: May 01, 2020, 12:56:29 PM
It depends on you.

Want to stop here? SELL

Think about going big? Bring some "whale traders" in the game and make more $
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors buy the wrong zoom on: April 30, 2020, 12:09:38 PM
It's only based on assumption, but it's a fair assumption. The usage of the Zoom(with ticker $ZM) software has been booming due to the pandemic, and the ZOOM Technologies, Inc. company(with ticker $ZOOM, the comany having no connection with the Zoom software) rose a lot in stock price without any fundamental reason.

I understand your point of view but don't you think that "correlation is not causation"?

For example

Savings right now, I guess for me.  Roll Eyes

Why would you save when the government is printing money?
Put it in crypto.
11  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hex.win is a scam on: April 30, 2020, 11:56:51 AM
Everything HEX related is a scam, because obviously this is another classic Ponzi scheme. So I don't really understand why people still commit to this project or the people behind. There have been a lot of write-ups exposing the HEX project itself.

To the OP, thanks for your warning, and again, I do hope that people will not blindly trust on this kind of Ponzi scheme just because the people behind promise them good returns.

I didn't know there were more "HEX" related scams. Apparently there was Bitcoin HEX as well ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4523610.0 )
and pumpamentals.com. In other words he hosted an event where he promoted his scam

Thank you too for letting us know there are more "Hex" scams.
12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Hex.win is a scam on: April 30, 2020, 12:35:17 AM

SCAM ALERT
I was investigating etherscan and just found an erc20 token recently released (24 days ago):

https://etherscan.io/token/0x2b591e99afe9f32eaa6214f7b7629768c40eeb39?a=0xbc28029d248fc60bce0bac01cf41a53aeeae06f9

The founder is preparing to release it because he secured the website
https://hex.win/

This is a guaranteed scam:

Quote
HEX IS DESIGNED TO GO HIGHER, FASTER, AND RETAIN ITS VALUE.
Quote
Around 12 million or more of the 18 million total BTC worth of HEX claims will be given to the stakers on day 353! And! It gets multiplied by the Viral and CriticalMass adoption bonus multipliers which can increase it up to 3x!

It's asking users to buy their tokens through MetaMask using their credit card
https://twitter.com/HEXcrypto/status/1253050180070445057?s=20

An erc20 is better than bitcoin apparently:
https://hex.win/bitcoin-and-hex.html

Founder has 47.7k youtube subscribers at the moment:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCta3TYFhzfpPvOtKBDifYJA/videos
and 100% it's him since one of the featured channels is "HEXcrypto"
which leads users to hex.win

I created their web.archive.org here:
https://web.archive.org/web/20200430001027/https://hex.win/

Please report all videos and social media. Also can someone report reddit? I don't know
how to do that and if it's something you can do. Those guys will be scamming people
out of bitcointalk, naive people that don't know much about crypto.

Also they have a meme section which is so sexist

14  Local / Offtopic / Re: Ce faci cand primesti -rep? on: April 29, 2020, 09:23:20 PM
binance (bnb) e open source?

By the way, si tool-ul meu era client side si era scris clar.

Multam baietii

That is a bit horrifying, but its considered impolite to publish other peoples' PMs.

I'm not the first one and not the last one. This is why we also get tinder screens of private messages etc. If you took this serious and not for fun then go away, we don't need "the politically correct police" here.
I can post all my PMs if I want.

Thanks  man, i really appreciate a lot. Actually i was hoping to reach out to everyone this crisis, share experiences we are all having during this pandemic lockdown and lastly try to build my activities perhaps if am able to get a merit. My girlfriend introduce me to the forum this year and she gave me a target of what to accomplish before may if not my relationship depend on it, i know she just wanna make me a better version of myself.

17  Local / Offtopic / Re: Ce faci cand primesti -rep? on: April 28, 2020, 11:12:36 PM

"~ but I'm adding it back now as I notice the service is still up with no disclaimers." -

in vedere ca e ceva util si merge.

18  Other / Off-topic / Re: The problem is not really government on: April 28, 2020, 11:55:45 AM
Interesting topic.

You will never be able to get rid of power. Imagine if you were the prime minister of a country but your power is
limited. Someone who doesn't know that will consider you very powerful and this may potentially create morally fair
and unfair opportunities. The power stays in the hands of those who perceive it, not in those who have it.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: How RRR works!? on: April 28, 2020, 11:36:34 AM
Two additions to the above points.

Running alongside fractional reserve, is that when banks give out loans, they can create new money out of nothing. Lets say you take out a loan for $1000. The bank issues a credit to you of $1000, and also a debit against you of $1000. The bank's bottom line doesn't change; their books are still perfectly balanced - a new $1000 liability, and a new $1000 asset. Except now you have $1000 you can spend, $1000 which didn't exist before you took out the loan.

Secondly, a month ago, the Federal Reserve reduced the minimum reserve requirement of US banks from 10% to 0% - https://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/reservereq.htm. This essentially means banks can print unlimited money in the form of new loans, since there is no requirement for them to hold any percentage in their reserves.

LOL
I think this was needed because banks may see higher loans taken as a result of covid19. In UK for example there is this "furlough worker" scheme which means the
employer pays 80% of wages. They will pay them from own pockets and in June they will claim those money back from the government. Some employers however need to
take a loan in order to do that.

I don't really know about the US but for sure some companies need money to survive. The 0% minimum reserve requirement sounds dangerous if misused.
20  Local / Offtopic / Ce faci cand primesti -rep? on: April 28, 2020, 11:21:27 AM

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2423580

I-am trimis omului e-mail personal si i-am zis "Again, I apologies for my over-confidence in a topic where I thought I was right" + alte cateva chestii.
