81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: December 18, 2020, 10:29:46 PM
I assume, due to lack of basic trading ideas & keep trust on any project without analysis, both may possible reason for fall victim to scam. scammers making smart stategy nowadays & trying to make us believe their project blindly, by presenting fake documents as like real and pretend toward us as if they are an expert and come to lead Crypto industry permanently .hacking celebrity's socail media accounts also responsible cause i saw scammers usually hacked their account & ask fund for giveaway or for trade.public specifically most of new comers easily belive those lies & being trapped by them
Social media hacking is a frequent occurrence these days. A few days or weeks ago I also saw celebrities with verified badges using scam links. things like this are very dangerous where they have a large audience and also with a verfied bedge maybe many people will believe. we must take care in this regard and must examine the information properly
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fishing sites and fake wallet on: December 18, 2020, 10:22:05 PM
There are a lot of crypto desktop wallets that have an additional layer of security and activating 2FA only takes a few seconds with a QR code. Download the Electrum for BTC and LTC transactions and after taking backup of seed you can enable 2FA for better security. For altcoins, Exodus and Trust wallet will cover similar features, so no need to worry about phishing websites or getting hacked.
If the case is phishing, I think we should be more careful in looking at the url. Scammers usually try to clone a website by purchasing a domain url that is almost identical and may only be one letter different. 2FA is something that is mandatory as well now, be careful if we click anything on the internet
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought BTC at 23.5K$ on: December 18, 2020, 10:18:40 PM
By seeing the increasing in price rapidly I invested in bitcoin. Was it the perfect time? What is the prediction of price for now with reason?!

my friend, if you bought something you should have a strong reason,
but, if you bought bitcoin at $23,5k thats not a big problem, if you believe if the price of bitcoin will growing more and touch about $50K or more in long term
The first rule, buy what you can afford. don't be too pushy and don't get carried away. maybe bitcoin is a very profitable investment, yes! but we also have to be wise in buying it. I think buying bitcoin at a high price is not wise, you can find another time unless you are on a day trade
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 18, 2020, 10:14:51 PM
Yes, Bitcoin has finally hit its all-time highs. Surprisingly, it only took 3 years. I wonder to what extent he will go this time.
As for Ethereum, it is very likely that at the moment when Bitcoin starts to fall, Ethereum can rise to $ 1000.
I'm sure the price of Ethereum and Bitcoin will be directly proportional, because both are top coins that affect other cryptos. although I'm not sure in what size, if bitcoin goes up, then ethereum will be the same
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO was fair, IEO did well, STO flopped, now IDO - Is it going to survive? on: December 15, 2020, 02:06:01 PM
None of all these crowdfunding strategies are regulated so there is no way they won't be bombard by scammers and cheaters, IEO is a bit better because of top exchanges performance, they aim to offer high quality services and also keep their reputations in good condition
Regulation is something that is quite complicated, especially if it leads to crowdfunding. Most projects will be more concerned with their resources for project development when compared to crowdfunding. but it is true that IEOs are the best crowdfund structure at the moment, and maybe there will be regulations for that later
86  Economy / Economics / Re: IF USDT would collapse what do you think will happen to the BTC price? on: December 14, 2020, 04:31:50 AM
My opinion that if USDT collapses it will certainly affect all coins, including the Bitcoin price there is a possibility of being dumped.
Because nowadays many people trade crypto on exchanges using USDT pairing, moreover, the amount of USDT volume is still the highest.
So USDT collapse will panic investors, this is what might cause Bitcoin price to dump. If this happens I am sure it will not last long,
because Bitcoin always recover quickly.
To be honest, it's hard to imagine this will happen, because the foundation of the stablecoin itself is backed up with the original value of USD. maybe there will also be regulations governing stablecoins in 2021, but imagining a USDT colapse is almost inconceivable, and might lead to a massive decline in trust in crypto.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: December 14, 2020, 04:25:09 AM
In this online world it is very important to be more cautious and be more vigilant in order to avoid getting fraud or being scam by many opportunist/con artists. Always be mindful about the things you are doing and transacting online especially if you dont know the people you are having transacting/trading with because nowadays this are the things scammers are doing to get easy funds to you.
con artists are very dangerous, because they can earn people's trust with their appearance. always do research on the credibility of an institution, even if they are quite well known fund managers. make sure that the assets you have have a guarantee or at least insurance, so that your investment will be safer and more profitable
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: December 14, 2020, 04:19:26 AM
If they are well-established with a REAL huge community. social media numbers and market activity can be manipulated.
I don't trust them fully, as I see shitcoins projects pay their community by maximizing their social media presence.
Maybe you can consider reviews from well-trusted sites and people.
reviews from well-known sites are indeed quite good to take into consideration, sometimes I also see reviews from experts about the projects I want to invest in, if the reviews are positive and they have a good team, then I will buy the coins,
This could be a pretty good method, but I could still see that people would be "endorsed" even though they were experts. so we better do a thorough research of the team on the project. If their team is credible as well as competent, I believe they can build a good project
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many old coins are dead and abandoned by the developer, WHY? on: December 14, 2020, 04:15:00 AM
The performance of a project will determine how long it's going to stay alive or probably forever going to be alive if it's very useful for the world, shitcoins will get delisted on exchanges as time goes on if there is no good use case, quality of a project is what speaks louder for a project not the team
The question is, how you are going to measure the performance of a project. Out of the 10,000 or so coins/tokens in existence now, only around 1%-2% are having real life usage. Remainder are used only for trading and for speculative investment. As long as they get pumped, these coins will be listed in the exchanges. And when the pump stops, gradually they will get delisted.
This is a pretty classic plot, right? So instead of looking at the listing's performance, we better focus on the technology development of a project. indeed there will be only a few projects that will show their technological development, because there are only a few projects that are worthy of our investment
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understand how cryptocurrency scams work? on: December 14, 2020, 04:11:25 AM
The scam works very simply. You are promised that your investment will be multiplied, and you are asked to pay for it. Then you are shown a presentation of how everything will work, but for those who just want to increase their money, this is not important. This means they will not critically look at what they are shown, they will be eager to make a profit sooner. And in the end it all collapses with a big ass. The only question left is "where is my money"?
"Make profit faster" has always been a shady promotion. and most newbies are often caught in this. If a crypto offers unrealistic profits and no development or no team backing up behind it, the project will usually end up being a scam and you will lose your investment.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of the project depends on the project developer himself! on: December 12, 2020, 01:41:09 PM
Developers should keep working on new products or fresh utilities but instead many of them are repeating same old use cases we've seen a hundred times before, it's becoming tiring this days, I'm only moved by what is fresh and brand new or I'm better off with old crypto projects
I'm sure this is going to be an old trend in a moment, and investors won't be that foolish to invest in copycat projects that rely solely on a certain trend. now the market has grown quite well where bad projects will get rid of themselves and at best will become shitcoin if they enter the exchange
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bnb is cheaper faster then eth and btc on: December 12, 2020, 01:38:36 PM
If you only stick to price and speed, you can compare it to Litecoin. BNB clearly has a different product and offers a different solution when compared to ethereum. on the other hand ethereum has a very busy network and has very massive users, so what are you trying to compare here?
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic will bring more economic progress in long-term... on: December 12, 2020, 01:31:49 PM
Despite the long-term effects of the epidemic on the economy the world economy is improving. People in all countries of the world have learned to prevent this epidemic. Everyone is adapting to the epidemic and the standard of living is improving a lot. The economic situation seems to be related to the extent of the epidemic. Again a lot depends on human activities. Even though many people lost their jobs during the epidemic the companies are changing their situation again. The epidemic is changing the course of the world with long-term economic progress and technological advancement.
They must be able to adapt to the existing circumstances. companies cannot run if no one is working, therefore now there are many and even massive work from home and remote work technology use, so that people can more easily run their business and keep the economy alive even in a pandemic
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again? on: December 12, 2020, 01:28:12 PM
currently the return is ICO, because Defi is back in hype, then the ICO will also be hype again,
many ICOs from the Defi project have been successful, this is good and remain careful.
What do you think if the DeFi and ICO systems are combined into a project, will that result in a good project and can make everyone lucky? if so, it is very necessary to try out by project developers for the next year.
Combining it is not good, ICO will only ruined the hype of the DeFi, so no team that understands the current situation would do that as it will only result to a failure of their project, just frankly speaking.
ICOs are prone to scams. DeFi is better when compared to ICOs, although defi still has many shortcomings in terms of technology. Although currently there are several projects that are still carrying out ICOs, I am sure that investors will choose a safer path and more can increase their confidence in investing
95  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: December 11, 2020, 12:01:07 PM
China already passed a year with this virus and their conditions are too good from the very beginning of the virus and no other countries of the world can't recover it which China did. Eventually, maximum countries still has good amount of people who affected and many people are dieing day by day. After passing a year, we haven't seen any great change which we expect earlier. Hereby, economy needs to push more to recover it too fast otherwise it will affect to people in public demand which provided by subsidy from government.
From the start, China seemed to know how they should react in this pandemic. in some cases, Covid has made several countries experience high recessions. I think starting mid-November, every country has started to restart their economic activities, even though it is still very difficult. the vaccine is now starting to be produced and some developed countries have started to get the dose, I only hope that developing countries can afford to buy the vaccine, because they need it the most, both in terms of affordability and also the need for the vaccine itself
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop by if you are a PayPal user on: December 11, 2020, 11:50:28 AM
If it's really Paypal who blocked your account. There must be a noticed to your email. You may check your inbox, I am receiving some emails from Paypal reminding me for my account because I haven't used it for so many months. They are verifying my account, etc.

Which trading platforms are you currently using? I don't use paypal ot any credit cards when doing some trading. They are planning to adopt crypto payments, too. I think they have a valid reason to block your account. You can also send emails to them regarding your issue.
Yes, usually they will send you an email beforehand and will tell you to do an identity check again? I'm not really sure about that. Regarding Paypal blocking accounts, I think they are still not perfect in their "precautionary" measures, they impose too difficult rules for crypto users. and also I never thought of using Paypal in terms of trading, there are still many options to choose from, simpler and easier
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot going to Kill Ethereum? on: December 11, 2020, 11:47:07 AM
If Polkadot's performance works well then it will not be impossible to rival ethreum for the future especially at this time the price movement is very good and investors will also be interested in working with the project, if they can get the best position in the crypto ranking then from now on the team must really fight for the maximum because next year the crypto world will be more and more fans.
Polkadot does have the possibility to replace ethereum, but not now or next year. ethereum is still too strong and polkadot are not as well known as ethereum, even in crypto space itself polkadot are far from being compared to ethereum
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ahead of the launch, Libra changed its name on: December 11, 2020, 11:44:32 AM
Until now I still don't know why Libra rebranded before its release, even though Libra is a good name and is well known to many people.
Based on my guess, maybe this is a marketing strategy from Facebook to make Diem's release viral. But I read in several articles that
Diem got a lawsuit, It seems that Facebook always gets into trouble when it comes to releasing crypto coins that it creates. There may be
parties who don't want Libra / Diem to be released.
Could it be for marketing purposes? I don't think it's that simple. I still believe that it has to do with the regulations they are currently trying to fit. they are still very difficult in terms of regulations in the US and have many obstacles in releasing their products, for marketing problems I don't think it's a big problem because they have Facebook where they can use it as a promotional medium at any time
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like another big company will add crypto as payment soon on: December 08, 2020, 03:29:36 AM
It's getting interesting, more institutions and big companies are beginning to see the possibilities in the cryptocurrency space and willing to join to avoid losing out of the awesomeness of the industry. I'm personally excited seeing news of this nature because its an indication that we're getting closer to the mass adoption of cryptocurrency.
The momentum for mass adoption is already in sight, but I think it's too early to say that we are close. crypto still has a lot of things they need to solve regarding regulation and it is true that if many large companies are participating in crypto and making crypto mainstream, I think that the government will have to make regulations that fit the application of crypto.
100  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: December 07, 2020, 03:07:11 AM
Currently, digital currency has been widely discussed in many countries, but they are still confused about what regulations they should apply. like in the US they provide fairly strict regulations to companies engaged in blockchain and crypto right? I believe they are not unable to implement the regulation, but rather their readiness to accept the outcome if they make the regulation. what if something happens after they apply it, and how to prevent the problem and how to solve it
