Yeah I don't know where this ends up but with the recent rise in USD I highly doubt anyone is going to come anywhere near your asking price. I can't speak for everyone but when I'm looking at buying a coin I'm looking at getting one as in perfect condition as possible otherwise what's the point unless it's very attractively priced to which this is not. Just keeping it real and giving you honest feedback. Good luck with the sale but I highly doubt you get anywhere near 1.5 esp with the recent run. You are realistically looking at 1.1-1.25 at the very most IMO. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. Something has to give and it's a buyers market. Just trying to be as real as possible with/for you!

1.1 is definately too low on this. Between the bcash (uhg) and selling the peeled coin that's barely above face.  First year and the s2 coins have less mintage then the errors.  You dont see these all the time, but pricing these is a tough task because of the lack of sales data.

Here you might find past sales data

Yeah this list is definitely helpful and super fascinating to read through! I sometimes go to this page and don't come out for hours haha! Worth every moment!!!

Well said. These are definitely rarer than the other 2011's. Either way good luck with your sale. For sure better/more pics will help!

Can you upload some clearer pictures please? That hologram looks a little funky..

Agreed! I think this would be very helpful to all and can only help your chances of a sale for the best price!

370  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFORMATION] ICG GRADING on: May 10, 2019, 04:01:57 PM
So will previously highly graded ANACS coins hold up accordingly in the resell market? If I bought some ANACS MS69 and MS70 coins will they fetch premiums in the event I ever wanted to sell them? I would sure hope so and common sense dictates that, but it's beginning to sound and feel like people have little to no respect for any of the grading companies especially ANACS at this time. Would love to get any and all community feedback here on everything graded prior to this visit and subsequent post regarding all of this. Looking forward to everyone's thoughts here.

PS: Excellent write up anonymousminer. And nice work by both yourself and Charlie for giving ICG a new template to work with for the future. Just want some clarity for the past stuff.

I think regardless people want to see for themselves, you will never see a graded coin sold with no pics just based on company/grade.  People will always ask for high res pictures of front and back.  So long as the coin looks to be in tip top shape I dont see an overwhelming reason why an anacs graded Ms-70 wouldn't fetch higher than a 69, and so on

I completely agree and this makes perfect sense. The previous grades while perhaps not perfect at times still has to hold some value and it needs to carry weight. Otherwise we should have been strictly going off of high quality photos only. But let's keep all comments/feedback/thoughts/suspicions/positives/negatives/criticisms/compliments, etc... coming as the more info and stronger bond of what's respected and what's not the better and better we are as a collectibles community yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Look at premium for day one funded Casascius coins.

If public keys weren't released nobody would know if they had one of the earliest funded coins or not. The joy of having a public ledger on the blockchain.

I like publicly verifiable physical coin addresses.  People have done good work on data bases which is helpful.

I particularly like the casascius trackers because I can see how many unpeeled coins are left.  I think this will be useful going forward as far as value goes.  What if cas coin addresses werent public how would we ever know 20 years from now how many are left unpeeled.  You might hold the last unpeeled coin but never know it.

Very good pro-public arguments. Thanks for contributing, I find this a very interesting discussion.

Agreed. These are some phenomenal points and I'm very interested in seeing where this goes. This is a great learning resource for a noob like myself. I imagine some excellent arguments will continue to be made and hopefully more and more great thinking and ideas comes about!

Now this is very true. I love the Casascius tracker tool @rusbitcoinuser has built at https://casascius.ludvigart.com. It's incredible to be able to pull that up and see things in wonderful detail!

I mean it’s all to do with transparency. I’m all for it, I’m new to the collectibles world , but in my short time, I’m getting clued up quickly ! I’d much rather know when the coin was funded and from which addressees -  hopefully associated with the maker.

Hi All,
I'm also new to the collectibles world and I have to say the very first thing I check for when I'm entering discussions on me purchasing a coin is to see whether or not it's been dusted or not. If it has I've always passed. I just for whatever reason don't want a dusted coin if I can avoid it. Now I understand what's public is public however going forward if there is a better or more elaborate way to manage this I think that would be best. Something like when the 2 parties enter in discussions for buying/selling they give up the firstbits, etc. Just my 2 bits fellas! Grin

Totally agree with you , and interestingly from looking  at the poll,  it seems to be that there isn’t a perfect solution as of yet . These awesome people making collectibles haven’t come up with a perfect solution, but I would say in this forum I’m happy and content what’s being produced and sold .

Yep there's a great and smart group of people in this community. I honestly thought I'd buy a couple of Cas pieces and be gone but everyone has been great for the most part so I'm gonna be sticking around as I enjoy and appreciate this community more each day. I'm sure someone will come up with a better perhaps more clever way to do things. Either way having an open discussion about it is best for all of us short and long term!

Honestly your best and most optimal option is to run an auction. Begin the auction with a lower price due to the hologram scratch and see what the market dictates for this coin. I'm merely offering my advice and help. All the best to you!

This was a phenomenal coin! I'm still convinced this is a MS69 coin but that's just my opinion. Congrats to the buyer and seller here!
