261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin Hi-PoS hybrid pos/pow no premine/ipo/ico on: November 03, 2016, 08:58:44 AM
What happens to our good old cryptocurrencies developers from 2012-2013? They all just disappear without exception. It is very strange, given the growing popularity of the cryptocurrencies in the world...
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Krypton, KR - BaaS Corp & Open Source, Public Blockchain for Business/IoT on: November 03, 2016, 08:46:34 AM
Hi covertress,

Thanks for the update on the KR burned and the stats on coinmarketcap also need to be updated with the available supply as it's showing that there is 2,910,710 KR available.

Also has a winner been announced for the Halloween wallet screenshot contest on Twitter?

I'd like to be a winner in this contest... Smiley
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XCH] ★ ClearingHouse - Freedom by Blockchain ★ on: November 03, 2016, 08:37:58 AM
That wallet is were all my Via is. So if you plan to abandon it, let me know and I'll move my Via to a paper or other wallet.
How about not saving your Viacoins in that wallet & use the core wallet.
Don't be depended on a server.

Hey, Romano!

Can we just import our XCH privkeys(that holds Viacoin) to the core Viacoin wallets directly?
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FIRE] FireCoin BitBlockForging @ 1% APR | 98,139+ Supply | 150K limit on: November 03, 2016, 08:27:48 AM
FIRE will pump 50k soon. someone will buy many coins

Watching YoBit + Bittrex most the day & seeing all the new alternative coins launching left | right, people jumping all over the place with Coin Clones (feel really sorry for anyone who gits suckered into ones without developers or community that can keep them from going defunct). Once a s**t storm, always a s**t storm & very few that know the originals. I actually thought it was so funny seeing people say "oh here's the first of it's kind" & wanting to call their bulls**t, know the first of each new algo. BitBlock was the first x15, not Maia or Fire & Maia had mammix2 a Legendary developer trying to keep IT from going defunct. Don't think hype of a pump be what Firecoin (FIRE) needs, but given the facts about how it has held stable for 2 years and 127.8 days might be  Wink

//side note: will be trying to send some BTC to fairglu this week, but would greatly appreciate it if anyone from the community would be able to chip in

0.015BTC just sent from my Bittrex account.

How's going a CryptoBank development, dear Griffith?

Yes it should. The point is that staking in the current 2.0.2 wallet does not seem to work. Normally the blockchain should come to a grinding halt, but there is a new block every minute. The question is: which software are those people using who manage to stake new blocks.

My wallet version is 2.0.2.0. And it works perfectly. Quick start (in comparison with the vast majority of cryptocurrencies), fast synchronization and fast staking. Running my wallet every 8-9 days.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ――――――――――――――――― ▲ MOIN ―――――――――――――――― on: November 03, 2016, 07:24:57 AM
I remember the days when Moincoin was almost dying coin. And KingCaper made a coin with a stable development and stable price. I thank him for that! This is an example of how a classical takeover should be implemented.

Anyone got connections on the wallet ?

Nope. No connections here...
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: October 29, 2016, 03:10:29 PM
Am so glad this project is still going and seems to be going from strength to strength.

going to invest in this un found (as of yet) gem

Thanks for the kind words.
Yeah David is coding this gem all by himself. I think Halo is somewhere over 60 to 70 thousand lines of coding!

It's frustrating knowing where the price is now with all the features it currently has working.

In all honesty, after the rolling peg is complete and all it's features that spin off from it, I really don't think there will be another coin out there that will be able to match the number of features BitBay will have built into the wallet.

Sure Bitcoin has an unknown amount of 3rd party features, but that's because it's king.
But if there was a column on an exchange that tracked features in a coin, BitBay would already be in the top 5, and like I said after he finishes the peg, it will be 2nd to Bitcoin in total features.

And by then I'd think the masses could no longer ignore this fact and begin to contribute to it. As David's goal is to include python programmable smart contracts.
These are not to be compared to ether's smart contracts because David doesn't want to bloat the blockchain with a bunch of smart contracts.
They won't be as fast as ether's because they are obviously python and not C++, but they won't bloat the system.
He found a way to structure and secure these python programs without the need for it to be on the blockchain yet still secured by miners!!

Here's his thoughts on the matter from a previous post:

Quote
By the way, I had an idea for ethereum style blockchain contracts
by combining python with the mining rules, allowing people to make contracts that get pre-approved to run through pythons interpreter. And those contracts can be run from a text file
Instead of having to rebuild the daemon
In theory, you could have the miners check with a centralized address that puts the hashes and torrent link of the new contracts
Its just that python is slower than c++... thats the major drawback
and bitcoin already suffers from speed issues

However, I wanted to do the pegging this way, so I could test it live without constantly rebuilding the daemon and running nodes
his would be similar to how P2P python contracts work
but instead done at the miner level
So people would pay a transaction to a hash, then the miners would see if the hash is part of their approved list of contracts
if it is, they run the python code that was approved, they should hold a text file of it
or if they dont have it, they download it via torrent
Since they are preapproved, we can prevent bloating issues or weird bugs like infinite loops
But as long as the contract doesnt damage the network causing too much work for miners we can approve those
I guess the barrier to entry would be that users dont want to wait for approval
So people would rather play with Eth since there is already the language there to use live
in this case they can test live but only alone or on testnet

So lots more to come.

If David will be able to communicate their ideas to their logical conclusion, then I think this project has very promising future. And it is one of the most undervalued coins in the history of the cryptocurrency, which creates favorable conditions for the early-stage investment.

Hi All, I'm sorry to bring some sad news to the crypto community. My friend and Head of Coin2. KingArbinV , has passed away. I just found out this morning.
He was only 31 years old. Not sure what happened. I Talk to him all day everyday on Facebook. He went quiet Monday, and I didn't think much of it.
Sometimes he just sleeps long periods of time. Since he sometimes pushes himself and stays awake for long stretches. I was about to message him when I opened up facebook
saw an image of him as a kid, posted by his Dad.  My heart sank! Sad

His real name is Brian, and my friend. Rest well now KINGARBINV!

Thank you, romanornr! So are you a new dev that taking over VIA and XCH? What the plans for the XCH?
Said in the Viacoin thread:
Main focus right now is to the anonymous implementation for Viacoin. Which is not a small task.
Releasing a Whitepaper is my first priority. Making sure all the mathematical equations are correct for the whitepaper.

After that the Viacoin roadmap. However without the anon whitepaper, the roadmap wouldn't be good. So whitepaper first.

ClearingHouse:
I didn't see any interest from people in the clearinghouse except some old holders who demanded to login again on the server (which is now possible). So the clearinghouse isn't my first priority on the list.
I made it possible for people to export their keys etc and kept the server alive.

It got delisted from Poloniex before I became the new dev. Does the community/you have an idea how to make CH attractive again?
Trades can be made on clearwallet.co but not on Poloniex or Bittrex.
Which makes it very hard to attract new people.

At least, we can return to this issue after the successful development of VIA under your leadership. Is not it?

.......
What is your wallet version? It should be 1.0.0.1.

Hm, i think you just need to wait for blockchain to be downloaded completely.

Hey there!

My wallet version is 1.0.0.0      Running and staking 24/7.  Is it normal?

Hey Sakura is your wallet working well, you stake normally? I guess you are a part of success too.

Oh, yeah, my wallet working very well and getting stakes like a champ.  I guess it is success too.  Smiley

And I think if the old dev will help with Twitter and website, there is nothing wrong with that. Is not it?

May be worth checking out Mammix. He's done awesome wallet work in the past and is very knowledgeable in this area. If he's not super busy, I have no doubt he could port the HYPER wallet over to the more efficient newer code seen in things like RBIES.

Mammix is the one I contacted, they are working on RBIES wallet atm.

I can contribute some Hyper for a new wallet if we can find a developer.

Excellent, thanks for your willingness to help the community.

The second one I'd target is IGotSpots. He's done many wallets in the past and does a lot of custom things. Not sure if he does work for others though.

Igotspots is not even a coder is he? does he not get mullick to create his coins? I could be wrong but I am pretty sure he's not even a coder. He has organised some good coins in the past.

If the original dev is gone from here let's get the dev pot moved to a new developer asap and continue forward with this project. Who is the guy that organised the ufc fighter for hyper?

I can recommend Limx Dev that helps with MOJOv3 wallet.

XST is the next 200% coin

If random coins POT HZ rise hard, XST has got some news in the corner,

Wondering how high XST will go

GO GO GO XST!!!

I'm afraid if the devs come out with some news it's gonna be 2000% coin Smiley

As always, crypto rewards patience.

any news here?

Mesterlovez? r u still here? what's your plan with the coin?

Hi, Yobit is a scam site, they just took my money and never deliver what they promised!

I have to help my friend create his coin. After that I will have enough cash to upgrade GoldReserve where it should be!

We will wait for the good news from you. And you're right about Yobit. Good luck to you!

Okay guys just a small piece of news about GP-sponsored #pointandclick adventure game "Captain Disaster in: Death Has a Million Stomping Boots" - today I have RC1!  Yes I know that may sound minor but believe me, after 4 years of development, to finally have our first Release Candidate is absolutely HUGE!  Now have to hope our testers don't break it too badly...  Grin

Congratulations to you and all the GP community with such success! It really is a great success.
