Value Defi Protocol has a tool to farm as a service (FaaS) and still free of charge.

https://docs.valuedefi.io/products/farms-as-a-service

Why not wrap to Ethereum and then farm there? We will get exposure again, continue minting potcoin instead of stacking with POS

Also with that tool we get enough liquidity in their DEX.

Edit. It worths noting that the tool (FaaS) is already audited by Arcadia Group.

Hi Potcoiners, I saw the interview with Josh on youtube and the news about migrating to Ethereum, I think is a very good idea and a good step forward.
Our network is not having enough blocks to scale for a massive use and Ethereum also give us more exposure, more scalability and more exchanges. The Txs will be faster and easy to manage with many wallets that are out there.
I support it! I look forward for more details about timelines, the roadmap and how will be the swap.
Keep up the good work!

You have a link to the video? Id like to see it.

thx

Yes, sure. There are no major details however

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7OTVxmMW4E

I will miss stake potcoin but I will stake ETH instead

Imagine interact with merchants Dapps by smart contract. Could be really interesting, I just hope it doesn't take too much time, the race already begun.

Hi, I wanted to share what I expect or I would like for this year.

Network: It needs to reach out +1k stakers. I estimated there are between 130-180 at least. +1k is not a difficult number to get it. And the network will be really strong.
I think promoting in stakers forum, teaching to some friends and with the new POS coming on Ethereum, staking will be a very used word. Also a frendly community helping the new comers will help a lot.
Being Potcoin an old crypto (six years is a lot in this world) and still active on developments as the post before with the wallets, is simply great.

Markets: a lot of people are claiming to get potcoin listed on binance. I personally don't think is a good idea. With VCC using Bittrex is enough to get the liquidity in one place. Between two big exchanges the liquidity will be divided and only win the arbitrage traders, at least being a small cap. But if potcoin continue growing up, a higher market cap will be a must to show accordingly. What I think is important is a FIAT gateway
50-100M market cap will be a good milestone if the market start to recognize that potcoin is an old coin, the first one and leader in it is niche, with a strong network secured by +1k stakers and gaining traction on adoption. A higher Market cap is always a better presentation for merchants and the volatility in the market is far less than being a small cap what result in more confidence.

Adoption: one of the top questions is always where can the people spent. IMHO the merchants need to start to see potcoin just as another payment method option. Will not compete with the others, and let the customers decide what their want. So a global campaign inviting the legal stores to add a new option. 4-5k dispensaries around the world could be another good milestone.

So sharing or in silence there are many areas where the whole community can help.
Happy 2020 to all the community

It worth noting that the number of stakers is growing day by day and from all around the world. Helping the network and making it more robust and strongest.

Congrats to all the stakers

Should we spark PotCoin back up ?

Why Save PotCoin?
Lets be honest about it, the 2nd gen PotCoin devs have lost interest in maintaining PotCoin's core code (Latest commit 5c2b9da  on Aug 23, 2015) and that commit was made by a other user on github https://github.com/potcoin/Potcoin/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Acryptovein .
Since this time PotCoin has lost lots of its value and has been victim to pump and dump scams along with its de-listing on poloniex.

In its infancy PotCoin devs worked hard to push features such as integrating multiple re-targeting mechanisms and defeated ASIC's by becoming one of the first POS coins. The network was solid and well maintained and lots of work went into PotCoin and now it seems neglected and we can fix that!

How you can help

If you think we can save PotCoin please show your support by posting your thoughts/ideas. With enough support from the community we can introduce long awaited upgrades and features.

Lets grow POT again!

Supporter here since almost the beggining and continue staking.
Well maybe asking the devs to give the control to other new team. Potcoin is still the number 1 on it is niche and with the recents news about Paragon still more.

I think also what Potcoin needs is a serious road map.
Saying what is needed to fix and the next achievements.

And being up to date with the crowd is the best way to consolidate a community.

who wants to stake all the time anyway. His loss. Good for the network, bad for him, who cares.

Yup, I was for a while and then I noticed my wallet file start to balloon up in size so now I only stake every couple of weeks.

I would suggest staking 24/7 if you want the highest stake rate. My testing with the 100mod has me thinking that the stake rate is definitely tied to difficulty.
My spreadsheet had me pushing 7% and increasing on one of my 100k+ addresses. I changed it up to include all of my staking addresses and the % is just shy of 5% (I have only been running the "new math" for 2 days) I expect that 5%ish to increase quite a bit. If the code is working properly we could see upwards of 60% interest for our personal wallets, 7.5% of the supply is actively staking and I have rarely seen it go above 15% or so.

In short its what I have been saying for quite some time. If we want to see higher stake rates we need higher difficulty and the only way to do that is to get more inputs vying to stake.
If anyone (other than cartmanspc of course, DERP) wants to try the 100 threshold mod hit me up and I will send a link.

In closing this is a shoutout and a request for all who want to see potcoin thrive to get the diff up as high we can, if enough of us can honestly say that we are staking at 10%+ we can start pushing pot with the stake rate as part of the pitch. This will get more coins off the market and help buoy the price at the same time it increases our personal stake rates.

Addendum: I have uploaded both the 100 and the 5k modded exe's to amazon cloud.
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/3ZFxNGbUcJF8vF25DY25JVqrTG5AGR5PSOCiMLI9fnG?ref_=cd_ph_share_link_copy
If your not using a custom location for the data you can simply exit out of your wallet and launch the modded exe of your choice and it will do the rest.
If you are using a custom location for the data through CLI or via batch file you will need to either account for the naming of the exe or rename it to match your code.

I will try. Thank you

Another look of this movement..

Accumulation is not the volume of a day or a week, the accumulation phase started some months ago as I can see on the chart.

Also with the network running well (it can improve as rdyoung said) and with the apps going well the price (in my opinion) is undervalued.

I think the community is looking that and now are starting to buy slowly and less coins are offered at this price.
There are not two or three…
Check it out Coingecko to see that Potcoin is top 15 on community score.
https://www.coingecko.com/en?sort_by=community_score

Being Potcoin leader on this huge legal niche, if some good news is coming, we will see really nice movements.
This is just the beginning. Now Potcoin needs to continue increase the adopters.

Can I be wrong? For sure  Grin

I am going to disagree... on several fronts: Charts, number one, are so incredibly irrelevant given the volumes that are not worth mentioning them. Lets just say that ONE BTC alone would have bought the entire volume of months of trading -the past few months-, so that is just crap. Irrelevant crap at that. Now, what you can see, clearly, -very modest as it is- is the accumulation taking place in the last couple of days with BUYS and up to 40-50 thousand coins per trade at the HIGHEST LEVELS pricewise. And that starkly contrast with the total lack of volume of the past months, even though, I repeat, it remains modest, very modest.

As for it being due to "improvements in the network", that is simply absurd. POT is all but OUT for good, since the purpose for which it was created -buy POT at a discount and make a nice 5% yearly on your savings- is no longer. It was a total failure: No one is selling pot for POT, so there goes the whole project... which is artificially maintained by a few "believers" looking to check out... if at all possible at higher levels than this. That is the reality of the POT project as it stands today, on the edge of disappearing for good.

The rest is just interested (temporarily so: Until they can get out of it) hyperbole.

@barabbas, nice to exchange approaches.

I agree with you about selling Pot for Pot but remember that we are on earlier stages.
I think first we needed to get the network working as well as possible and others features rolling on like apps, web wallet and easy exchange.

About the chart, is not about BTC, it is about POT volume. If the price spike it is because less people are selling at this price, and the chart now is not clear due Cryptsy issues. But if you consolidate all the exchanges you can see that the accumulation started months ago. Anyway is not to do an issue about it.
The time will tell us. Thanks for the exchange.
