41  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: 15 Blockchain Conferences/Events in March 2019 on: February 22, 2019, 07:38:12 AM
The one that I'm looking forward to the most is Ethereum Community Conference. Most other conferences are focused on ICOs and their promotion, while EthCC is about crypto community and technology.
42  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Group of victims of revolut limited on: February 22, 2019, 07:32:04 AM
What is the purpose of this thread? Just discussion or you want to organize people who got Revolut account locked and make a complaint to Revolut, maybe even sue them?
I am not a user, but my friend recommended Revolut, he doesn't have any problems and he uses it regularly.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DEX] - SphinxCoin-DEX - [SPXED] - Alpha Stage on: February 22, 2019, 05:50:17 AM
I have read the draft and I'm quite impressed. I think the exchange could be created without the SPHXED coin - what is its purpose? Is it going to have value in the future, or is it just side product of your blockchain?
Are there any trading fees?
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Skycoin Price Prediction 2019 on: February 21, 2019, 07:25:56 PM
Skycoin ATH was well above $40 but you need to take into account that this was in the time when BTC was also at ATH so that price is not realistic at the moment. Bitcoin could return to near 10k by the end of 2019 so realistic high prediction for SKY is around $10 to $20 max.
45  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Prague, 22 March on: February 21, 2019, 06:19:17 PM
For the 5th time?? That is a decent tradition already!
Are there any names of the speakers/guests known? Is there gonna be anyone from Czech politics or EU perhaps?
46  Economy / Services / Re: Selling nudes [Group of girls +18) on: February 21, 2019, 05:39:05 PM
I think you should write the prices in Bitcoin, which would be more appropriate for the board you've posted this in. You can simply search the amounts equivalent to Bitcoin in Google and replace your current prices which are in DLLS (Spanish Abbreviation for Dollars) with the Bitcoin prices you've got from Google.

P.S: The image link is not working. Doesn't open.  Tongue
Link works, just remove space before com Wink
Question for the girls: how much would it cost - let's say 3 nudes (photos) - girl holding a paper with text.

47  Economy / Economics / Re: You Can Now Send Bitcoin Tips Over Lightning on Twitter on: February 21, 2019, 10:25:41 AM
https://www.coindesk.com/you-can-now-send-bitcoin-tips-over-lightning-on-twitter

When “liking” your favorite tweet isn’t enough, you can now send small bitcoin transactions.

Announced Saturday, the beta app Tippin has released a new Chrome Extension available to Google browser users. Over Twitter, app users can send bitcoin payments via the Lightning Network, considered a way to make bitcoin transactions feasible at a large scale for the first time.

Nice feature for sending small tips to good tweets and hope we will be able to use this system without any extension. I didn't download it from chrome web store but i am interested and have a question. Is QR code implemented to system for  sending payments with phone?

I have the same doubt.
I dont want to be using chrome extensions and up until now I dont have one as it could also be the way for hackers to have a hole into going into your account.
There should be another way and not just like this.
It is Twitter and it is a big company. Perhaps, they could find a way for another option.
It is a good start but they must go for the better ones.
I do think there are other people here who find it unsecured and not just me.
I share the same concerns with you. Actually I've already been a target of keyloger from Chrome extension in the past. It was Hola VPN, someone hacked them, put keyloger to "update" of Hola and when I entered my ETH private key to MEW, hacker received my private key and stole my coins. I know it's partly my fault because I used unrecommended method of accessing ETH wallet, but anyway, it proved that extensions are risky. If I need to copy-paste private key to Chrome, I always open Incognito window in Chrome with all extensions disabled by default.
48  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-19]Bitcoin Price Hits $4,000: Is this the Start of a Bull Run? on: February 21, 2019, 08:41:22 AM
Bull run is when price is increasing for several months in a row. A few days of positive action mean nothing. Well, every bull run needs so start somewhere but I think it's still to early. Charts and upcoming halving in 2020 are showing there won't be a bull run till July and the price will fall back to 3500ish before summer for sure. I'd say that we can't talk about bull run until we are back to $8000 at least which will happen after summer 2019, maybe as late as early 2020.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung confirms the rumor! on: February 21, 2019, 07:27:54 AM
Ohhh Samsung is making a smart move with new addition innovative feature that bridge the gap between the people who hasnt introduced to cryptocurrency yet and the people who are currently into it. These could be both benificial for the company and customers.
Anyway, I will be expecting an arising issue regarding that specific feature, most especially if we're talking about how secure is the private key storage, especially when the phone is lost or stolen. Everyone knows that this phone contains and support financial information in cryptocurrency, It might be someone would try to get in to your storage. Trust me, someone will gonna do it.
People also have online banking on their phones and financial apps like Revolut, PayPal... There is always some risk but if you have password (or pattern) set to unlock the phone and another password when accessing banking app/private keys, you are relatively well-protected. If Samsung adds a feature of locking private keys when you lose a phone, the risk becomes negligible.

And people who consider starting an ICO in this bear market times, are people with great idea, talented people around themselves so they will not buy an instant ICO from you. Wait till end of year or next year when circumstances will be better

52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The HODL meme and its impact on Bitcoin on: February 17, 2019, 08:26:30 AM
Regardless of how and when the term HODL was invented, in my opinion it's a good thing and is recommended.
HODL is not something new, it's a concept that existed in every market for decades and is also inherited by cryptocurrency market. HODL strategy is for investors who are looking to invest for longer duration of time.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your tokens when you're gone one day? on: February 16, 2019, 02:19:46 PM
Just recently, a news showed how one crypto whale died with his cryptocurrencies worth millions of dollar. No member of the family had access to his private keys and other login details. Are you ready to face the same fate and leave your children or family without having access to your hard earned cryptocurrencies some day to come? Showing your wallet login details to them now can also be risky so what are some of the preparations you are making towards the retrieval of your money when you are gone for life one day?

I guess you are referring this Cryptocurrency Owners Can't Access Funds After Exchange CEO Dies—Because No One Knows the Password.
This is just one scenario you are quoting, there are many cases like cryptocurrency worth million of USD is gone forever. For instance, $190 Million in Crypto Gone Forever, How Canada’s Biggest Bitcoin Exchange Lost it All.
But things like losing all your currency as you die can simply be avoided by telling your next of kin about your login details including the private keys. Sooner or later we all have to die and cryptocurrency cant be retrieved once you are gone or your coins are stolen. This must be kept in mind by all cryptocurrency investors regardless of how big or small there portfolio is.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ethereum get to $500 this year? on: February 16, 2019, 01:59:41 PM
In the past some coins has shown surprise upwards movement and ethereum been one of the popular coins has shown significant pump in 2017 and early 2018! Will ethereum get to $500 this year even if sec approved ETF?

Everything is connected to Bitcoin. If Bitcoin surprise us with rates over 10,000 USD, then Ethereum will get to 500 USD or more. If Bitcoin continue to gravity around 3000-5000 USD, then I don't thing there is a chance Ether to near close to 500 USD. I think people are overrating the ETF hype.

This is very true. Price of all Altcoins including ETH depends on BTC ( Cryptocurrency correlation: how does altcoins depend on BTC ).    If BTC has a bull run again, who knows ETH may exceed 1000 USD.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitenny - simplify your future on: February 16, 2019, 10:14:28 AM
I can't resist to say that this is a very nice ANN design. Good work.

No doubt the Ann thread is very well designed but based on Ann thread design we can't say that project is good and will be a success. Let's wait till they release there MVP which is expected to come in Q1 2019, based on that we can give an opinion about the use cases which this project promises to cover.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the end near for ripple ? on: February 16, 2019, 09:52:16 AM
Finally Ripple community should see the absurdity of Ripple token. Ripple is not diffrent to JPMCoin, so why everyone hats JPMCoin, while Ripple is still good? I say, nothing diffrent, two centralization power.  Roll Eyes

Anything that is centralized or controlled by a single entity has no room in the cryptocurrency community. JPMCoin will be another centralized token just like Ripple.

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the large variety of Altcoins hurting the market? on: February 16, 2019, 09:26:48 AM
You could make the argument that if all of the capital in crypto only had to be spread across 50 coins that that would make each of those coins extremely more valuable.  In light of that thought, is the huge variety of Altcoins ultimately a good or bad thing for crypto?

Crypto market is open for all, it may be a good or bad side of the crypto market. Too many coins won't be a negative thing for the market as they may bring good competition in the market. The only thing not good for the market is useless coins that are launched with only intention of stealing investors money.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can anyone or experts still predict/ forecast cryptocurrency nowadays? on: February 14, 2019, 04:51:42 PM
No. Check out forecasts of experts according to BTC price in 2018 year, all of them expected 30-50 k for BTC and only a few of them predicted 3000.
It is about luck and clear vision

When BTC was 19000 USD in Dec 2017, everyone was predicting that BTC will cross 100,000 USD in 2018. Based on these rumors, many bought BTC and ended up losing their money.
Lesson learned never pay attention to predictions.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency has come to stay on: February 14, 2019, 03:55:15 PM
Advancements in technologies are rarely welcomed in the start and same happened with cryptocurrency. BTC started its journey from 0 USD and today it's standing at 3600 USD. Despite opposition from Governments and centralized institutes like banks, cryptocurrency usage worldwide is on the rise. For instance, Coinbase (largest crypto exchange) already has over 13 million users.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 No Bull Run, the Bull is Sleeping on: February 14, 2019, 03:18:09 PM
In my prediction i think every price altcoin is still down because fail and scam project.A good project lock their token to save a fall price. But its not give effect to make their price is up because too little buyer in market.
Will the altcoin raise again in middle 2019 ?

I can't say when they will rise and up to what extent they will rise but they will rise for sure, all you need is patience. Seeing the decade long history of Cryptocurrency, it's clear that there is always a bull run after a bearish trend.
