Thanks! I'm very interested in helping game developers integrate coin wallets, coin transfers between players, etc.  especially Android since I know how to build apps in that environment and can help game developers understand crypto beyond the 50% point.  

The ironic thing is that crypto-currency was originally conceived in the gaming world... and now here we have a crypto-currency that we want the gaming world to adopt!

It's a very hard sell... the average game player may get lucky and build up some coins... but getting them to understand how to convert FLAP (or even DOGE/BITCOIN for that matter) into actual $$$ is a major roadblock... it's PLAY money to them unless they see a clear way to cash out in $$$.

FLAP is at the bottom of the list on http://coinwarz.com and hasn't completely dropped off the list because it's still attached to the closed FLAP/BTC market on Poloniex @1sat. FLAP will hit 50,000 blocks in a matter of hours making 25% of it's total possible coins worth ~US$75K (according to http://coinmarketcap.com).

The developer of the Flappy Bird game reports making US$50K/day from in-game ad clicks... if I was the developer of the Flappy Bird game (making US$50K/day) why would I care to integrate my game into this coin? The coin is essentially 25% pre-mined now and has a total market cap worth less than 2 days revenue from ad clicks!

If the Flappy Bird game developer was truly interested in integrating crypto-currency into his game (don't forget he has very deep cash pockets... he's making over US$1million per month)... he could easily hire talent and create a new coin and pre-mine it 25% for himself alone.

Or fork Dogecoin's latest v1.6 changes... they seem to address all the problems we're having. Does anyone know exactly what coin Flappycoin is forked from?

+1... the poll has already been open for a month as of today... and there's a 76.7% majority in favor of the cap...  how likely is that to swing the other way when holding the poll open for another month?

Thanks...  as a coder I've learned a lot about how online wallets, exchanges, etc. are built upon the bitcoin/litecoin wallets. I've wasted a lot of BTC on FLAP but picked up some programming knowledge in the process... education PAID!

Dev support on this coin is so lame... would love to support this coin... but with ZERO word from Dev in 9 days it's fruitless to support this coin. I'll still hold my wallet for a possible pump/dump in the future... you lost me, moving on... goodbye!

I check this thread hourly while I'm awake... just noticed that the original dev has not made a post for 9 days now... I think the coin is a joke to the dev...  so wish I could take over his absent role and make this coin work with active dev participation!

Depending on how FLAP is integrated with his app he could be set up with a nice percentage of the transactions. He probably knows little about crypto-world and has no knowledge how to exchange FLAP to BTC to USD to VND (Vietnamese Dong)...

...that's where we come in!

I think focus on this coin needs to shift away from the wallet... the wallet is simply a place to hold coins... people are not looking to play a game or exchange crypto within a wallet... there are full-blown websites dedicated to both these tasks. not too complicated... can you really expect the dev to build a full-blown exchange integrated with the blockchain when he's struggling to add and compile a simple link to a website?

The dev is not fixing anything... he's trying to add a tab to a perfectly fuctioning wallet that simply launches http://flappycoin.info/game.html within the wallet... it's a pointless effort really as you can open that URL from any web browser and play the game... sort of feels gimmicky as the game doesn't really reside within the wallet... try disconnecting your network connection... you won't be able to play the game from your wallet.  Review my analysis on his source code: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464743.msg5760639#msg5760639

Currently holding off on further development of user wallets and private API requests (for integration with merchant sites, online games and mobile apps) until some sort of indication the developers of this coin are still on board.

[EDIT] Will continue to work on this for FLAP as I can easily port this work over to another coin with more active devs. I'll just think of FLAP as a testing environment and I'm lucky to have over 100 million test coins!

Your're not hearing from the developer because the developer is waiting for someone in the community to help resolve a compiler issue http://www.reddit.com/r/flappycoin/comments/20azvv/flappycoinqt_200_is_uploading/cg2ac6t. I've looked at the code on Github (last modified 9 days ago)... and what the developer has done is add a Game tab to the wallet, which is really just a link to the web game:

and also made some cosmetic UI changes (logos, coin name, icons, etc.). Since only the qt (UI) side has been modified and not the underlying wallet source... you would think that it would compile easily enough.  

I would like to suggest forgetting about this particular update to the Windows wallet (like I said it's just a link to the game on the website) and get on with the serious development like the game or exchange integrated with the blockchain... however those ideas came from people's wishful thinking and the developer has made no suggestions that he would be integrating anything into the blockchain.

Still, this coin (or any other coin) does not require a new wallet for it to become valuable... it needs a community that cares about the coin's future and that is actively developing services to make use of the coin... at which point the coin becomes valuable.

We have to assume game developers have little knowledge of the cyrpto coin world and we should address this by speaking in their same language (e.g. providing them with easy to use code wrappers/libraries)... and some crypto education would go along with that. Fact is they are not looking for us... we need to meet them beyond the half-way point.

FLAP and CORG are the first markets they have ever announced closing. Buy support for FLAP has dropped 60% in past 48 hours and still dropping... worse can still happen I guess.
