NOT Staking.

I finally have my wallet running after a few days of trial/error and synching/daemon issues.

The wallet is set for staking=1. The wallet has been open and yet it's not staking

Any help?
Hi,

Since the maximum number of coins have been reached, there's not the stacking option anymore !

OK. Thanks for the info. It has been a while since 2014 when I got this coin

I have also found my old wallet Smiley even though I am almost sure that I have had my ECC coins on an exchange, most likely askcoin.net that vanished Sad
Anyhow, I have installed Lynx and imported my wallet.dat file, nothing really happened in the app, seems like it did not recognise the wallet, also the sync progress is at only 0.4% after hours of running the app. Is that normal?

Thanks Smiley
Mine just completed after two full days, but my balance is showing 0, when it shouldn't. Any ideas anyone?

try adding

rescan=1
zapwallettxes=1

to your eccoin.conf file and then restarting the wallet.

just make sure to remove them again afterwards

I need help. I have a similar case... I have a wallet way back in 2014.

The wallet is up to date and synched. BUT when i load the old wallet, the wallet stays in "Loading Block Index" and "daemon starting" And nothing happens....left if like that for a day still the same, nothing happened.... it seems like it cannot load my old wallet.

I tried the additional lines  as suggested but still nothing

forceupgradewallet=1
rescan=1
zapwallettxes=1

A single conformation is enough for a new address to appear on blockchain.
We recommend to wait 3 conformations to be fully confirmed.

I have 500K+ coins unconfirmed......it is not confirming and it has been more than 24 hours.

Help

Hello.

Just sent you a PM.

15-20 and 2 are very different numbers. Dark coin had DarkSend, masternodes, masternode payouts in pipeline. This coin has...? multipool, and "devs working their ass off" as well as "big project". Do you see the difference?

"DarkSend, masternodes, masternode payouts in pipeline" -> that's all features of DarkSend. If there was NO Darksend, there wouldn't be any explosion of DRK price on the exchanges. I bet. DRK would be around 100k sat.

But let's stop talking about DRK. Obviously they do something right. There shouldn't be copy/paste, but see their work ethic and learn from it.
I like your constructive criticism. HIROcoin devs and leaders should listen better their supporters. How about finishing this "big project" while investing helluva lot of time and effort, just to find out that the community just doesn't value it. So, better communication with people, be more transparent.
For the more important "internal" things - discuss only in HIRO forum, visible by registered users. But invite people to HIRO forum to discuss that stuff.

+1. Where are you getting the 1 satoshi from? It's selling for 2 on Mintpal and 3 on Bittrex. Yes, not big numbers by any means, but like was stated before, this is still a young coin. And it was never designed to be a short term investment to make millions of dollars. Patience grasshopper.

There is now a growing concern, that Mintpal is manipulating the prices of many POS coins (MINT, ECC...). Every time the sell wall goes down it magically goes up again. My advice is to get your coins out of these exchanges and put into cold storage.

Good to see some ideas and community building!

I completely AGREE! HiroCoin MUST integrate darksend feature for anonymous transactions. Adding this feature will definitely improve the value of this coin. There are a lot of investors out there who want to be anonymous.....that's thousands if not  millions of fiat dollars.Just think about capitalizing on 10% or even less of that. :-)

What I actually would really help is a market place to get things started.

I've been trying to look for secure platforms to use.

Even if the marketplace is not overtly active, we are pushing utilization of Hirocoin nonetheless.

I can understand the frustrations coming from investors. An altcoin is like running a business. It needs investors to drive the value/price of the coin.

I myself have invested in this coin. I bought when it was 3000 SAT, bought more at 2000 SAT and more at 1500 SAT and even more at 800 SAT. I would love to buy more but I am running low on fiat.

It is indeed heartbreaking to see your "investment" loose value. I had the choice between DRK and HIRO then. I made the my decision at that time and that was my decision to make. The result of that decision and whatever result comes forward is MY Responsibility. Not the devs. I chose HIRO and I should be responsible for that decision.

I am not dumping my coins.

Hi everyone.

First of all, I want to repeat some earlier statements because I think not everyone who has been posting in the last few pages is aware of them ;

- Hiro has handed of leadership of this coin's dev community to me about a month ago. He hasn't posted since then. He has been coding full time, at his dayjob and for Hirocoin in his free time. n00bsysop is the leader of the dev department who organizes and directs development efforts.

- We have a long term goal and short term objectives for Hirocoin on our forum. We NEVER promise vaporware, instead we openly brainstorm about future projects.

- We do not hold ourselves responsible for the market price of HIRO. Instead, we aim to reach above mentioned goals and objectives

- We won’t break the rules we set for ourselves ; no unethical adjustments to the coin for short term gains. I also talked about that in the latest newsletter

- Pump and dump ? We never pumped anything. This is in the communication guidelines I wrote for our team that every team member is REQUIRED to sign.

The recent posts about Hirocoin devs running away and not supporting Hirocoin anymore  is pure FUD. It’s either a misunderstanding of Hiro’s lack of posts or worse, willful FUD spreading.

We ARE listening to the community. The problem is ; we don’t get much from you guys, except vague ideas like “be more visible” “do stuff that makes miners come to this coin” “grow the community”  or things we strongly disagree with ( like changing the coin supply ).
Most things  that the unhappy posters are demanding now are unfair and unrealistic.
If you tell us we should attract miners to this coin, maybe you could be more specific, for example. How ?

I’ve contacted literally more than 60 people who were positive in this thread over the last few weeks, and about half of them said they would love to help. I have heard back from NONE of these people after that.

Why ? Because people have a short attention span in this scene. We underestimated how small the window of opportunity is to use the initial buzz. There are new coin launches daily and "new is always better".

The sad truth in the altcoin world is this : when a coin is appreciating in value, everyone loves you and wants to help. When price does not climb, people get impatient and start making demands, and when it falls for a while people panic and get angry.
Then they rationalize this anger by making all kinds of accusations. Complaining and spewing vitriol is so much easier than helping.

And all the time, we have simply done what we set out to do. And will continue to do so. We’re not abandoning Hirocoin and keep improving and building. We’ll post information on new developments when they are close to being finished, like we did with the Multipool. Notice how this is in line with the “no pump” rule.

I would like to ask for a positive contribution instead of all these “Im pissed off because I’m not making money” posts.
If you want to see Hirocoin succeed,  take some time and effort to contribute something useful .
If you hold Hirocoins and are angry and disappointed, perhaps it’s better if you don’t post at the moment. Venting anger and flaming people who do all the work does nobody any good. You are hurting your investment.  Ask yourself : what is my goal ?

For those who do still support us and continue to trust in our intentions to create an awesome coin, thank you so much ! We are real people and your comments make us feel appreciated.

Has anyone tried just using a sharp nail clipper/scissor to remove the resistor? Simple, quick and sweet!
