61  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Chinese Uighurs - concentration camps, slave labor on: July 27, 2020, 09:01:18 AM
Uighurs in those camps never thought they are Chinese themselves.Op calls them Chinese Uighurs, which would be a potential insult upon them.
Bah, that is exactly why they are arrested and put in the camps for being separatists other than being muslims.

They think they are eastern Turkish people. While the Chinese govt wants to intergrate and assimilate them causing conflicts.
Well, this may still be better than giving them up and handling them in Turkish way. (God saves Armenians)
62  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China’s been conducting secret Nuclear tests according to USA on: April 21, 2020, 01:09:52 AM
China signed the CTBT just because they have collected enough data years before so that they can simulate any nuclear test on their super computers.

This reminds me that I heard someone in US accused China of trying to acquire nuclear weapons in 2010s while China has acquired in 1964.
63  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Threatens to Cut US Contribution to WHO. on: April 20, 2020, 03:43:06 AM
Would be great if true, but I can almost guarantee that it is a sham.  Part of the WWF show which Trump excels at, and his hoard of dead-enders will eat it up.

If Trump did cut the funding it would be on paper only, and then the paper would show the Bill Gates is the top contributor to the W.H.O..  Even being the 2nd biggest contributor was enough to get 'his man' into the top position.  And Mr. (not Dr.) Tedros Adhanom has proven satisfactory in getting the scamdemic underway.  Time will tell if Tedros has what it takes to get everyone on earth (except the ultra-wealthy) their gene-modifying RNA vaccines and bio-metric tagging which seems to be Bill Gates' primary interest.

I do sense that the W.H.O. itself seems to be becoming damaged goods as the truth behind the balognavirus drips out.  Jewtube no longer spams every vid with links to W.H.O.'s website.

Does POTUS have the authority to cut Bill Gates' contribution to WHO?
64  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China revised the number of deaths from Covid-19 on: April 20, 2020, 03:40:42 AM
It means China does have spared multiple resources to do recounting right now.

Had China still been in the CV-19 shithole, it would be impossible for them to do these extra works.
65  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China has won this corona economics sanction battle! on: April 13, 2020, 01:09:13 AM
Not yet. Guangdong province of China may be the next location for outbreak.
Its capital Guangzhou has too many Africans, some among which quite defy the rules not willing to coop with the anti-virus measures.
And Shenzhen another city of that province is just next to Hongkong while the latter has so many international vistors flooding around.
Hope its govt could take some precautions.

67  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Countdown to war with China on: April 10, 2020, 01:52:31 AM
Count how many nuclear warheads that China has before you go to hot war with it. OK?

Just a bit curious, do most Americans know that China has the third most nuclear weapons?(If only counting well maintained ones, China the 2nd as Russia has a shortage of money to its armory maintainence)

I don't want to play fallout - the real world version.
68  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could this be premeditated on: March 31, 2020, 03:28:55 AM
It is a typical Chinese scam.

Many Chinese respect no god but science.
So Chinese scammers often use scientific and technological words including nanomaterial.
69  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will all the world hold China responsible for corona-v on: March 24, 2020, 08:01:31 AM
The world should be thanking China for slowing the spread and giving an early model for how to effectively slow the spread.   The western media should be apologizing for smearing the Chinese government for taking immediate action that saved millions of lives.

The local govt of Hubei should be blamed for suppressing the info making severe consequeces. How could I thank these mfkers in the first place?

However in the other hand,I don't think that would make a valid justification for the incapability of western govt. No preparation was made by them. They simply wasted nearly two months time.

Besides, your pic only shows part truth.
Situations varied even in the same city of Wuhan. Some residents there got fair priced provision like what is said in the pic, but some others in Wuhan got food for extreme high prices. Because several local service providers (often low rank commie officials) made the lock down a good oportunity to make money by charging ridiculous transport fees.

People don't like being called stupid. I don't either. But it is taking me a while to realize that articles like the one, below, are being used to further the panic caused by the CV fake-news. Because, how do you appropriately apologize to the wife of a doctor you have executed?... especially when they won't even admit the execution? I expect she's scared witless, knowing in her heart what really happened to her husband.

China Apologizes To Wife Of Whistleblower Doctor Who Died After Contracting Coronavirus

Cool

Did you miss the official version? The local government (of Wuhan) was to blame, the Central government acted "promptly" after learning of the situation. If people there get angry enough, they might even get a few local officials (lower ranking?) executed as scapegoat.

I wouldn't be strange if the central gov did the apology for the mistake of their "subordinate" pending investigation and trial (with possible execution).

No execution would happen, China gov always treat their own officials quite mildly compared to the harshly ruled commoners.
Besides, in China doctors working in gov established hospitals are also considered a higher rank than commoners by officials.
That's why Dr Li was only reprimanded , a relatively mild punishment. Was he a commoner, he would stay in jail for about one week for spreading the so-called rumor.

Ironically, if he stayed in jail. He probably would not get Coronavirus while treating patients and passed away tragically.

China Apologizes To Wife Of Whistleblower Doctor Who Died After Contracting Coronavirus

Six weeks after the death of Dr Li Wenliang - the Chinese doctor who tried to raise the alarm about the new coronavirus before it was even identified - Wuhan police have withdrawn their charges and apologized to his family.

As a reminder, Dr Li - who warned the public of a potential "SARS-like" disease in December 2019 - was questioned by local health authority, and warned:

"We solemnly warn you: If you keep being stubborn, with such impertinence, and continue this illegal activity, you will be brought to justice - is that understood?"

Dr, Li was later summoned by Wuhan police to sign a reprimand letter in which he was accused of "spreading rumors online" and "severely disrupting social order."

And now, in a Weibo message, Wuhan Police apologized to the dead doctor's wife for their mistreatment:

On the afternoon of January 3, the police station of Zhongnan Road Street, Zhongnan Road, Wuhan Public Security Bureau reposted and posted online.

Cool

Who the hell said Dr Li was executed?
Or in your dictionary, reprimand=execute?
72  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: March 20, 2020, 02:57:30 AM
The only way masks really help is by stopping your saliva from getting all over the place when you're already infectious but don't know it yet. Let's assume it can help save 5-10 lives, why not wear one even if it's slightly useful

What's more, it can effectly prevents one to touch one's own face by fingers.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin blockchain trilemma, who will solve it on: March 19, 2020, 01:22:30 AM
Bitcoin lightning network also has this trilemma.
It sacrifices security(when compared with on chain bitcoin) for decentralization and scalability.

There would be another second layer method which sacrifices decentralization while aiming for security and scalability.
74  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus: International Updates on: March 13, 2020, 07:05:51 AM
It might be useful keeping an eye on China, too. Cases in the rest of the world are increasing dramatically, and all sorts of cancellations and quarantines are being put in place... but new cases in China are slowing dramatically. Might give an indication of how things will pan out in other countries that adopt similar travel restrictions.

Many methods that China took are very extreme and even considered human right violation.

Don't think major western countries could take all of them.

If one don't want to learn from China, then do consider South Korea.
It may be a proper sample for democratic countries.
75  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WHO declares Global Pandemic. How bad is it? on: March 13, 2020, 02:46:34 AM
The hospital I predominantly work in, and our local network, are currently prepping hard for what is to come in the few weeks. The reports coming out of Italy are tragic. Hospitals at 200% capacity. 10% rate of admission to intensive care units. All elective work cancelled. Patients being ventilated in operating rooms, in corridors, in store cupboards. Anywhere there is space to put a bed and a spare ventilator. Anyone over the age of 65, or with significant comorbidities (cancer, previous transplants, heart failure, severe diabetes) is not even being assessed by the critical care team. Read that again. It's not that patients over 65 are being turned down for admission to intensive care - they aren't even being considered, seen, assessed. They get an oxygen mask, and that's it. If they deteriorate, they are palliated. All the resources are going to the young and fit, and even then, hospitals can't cope.

Many countries are on identical trajectories to Italy, just delayed by a few weeks:

Even if you are still think this is "just the flu", it will completely flood your local healthcare systems for weeks to months. A lot of people are going to die from a lot of unrelated conditions because there is nowhere to care for them and no-one to look after them.

It is too obivious that Japan is faking the data according to the figure you post.

77  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WHO declared corona outbreak as Pandemic! on: March 13, 2020, 01:52:16 AM
This virus is not as dangerous as many people think. Mortality from coronavirus is about 3-5%, and mortality from the ordinary flu is about 0.5%. But it is important to understand that, according to statistics, 90% of coronavirus deaths are old people who have poor immunity. Therefore, if you are a middle-aged person, if you lead a more or less glorious lifestyle, then even if you become infected with this virus, you will most likely recover.

You're right! I just noticed that there were many bigger pandemics those killed tens of millions of people in the past. Corona virus has high spreading ratio and speed, but not really dangerous. Over 50% infected people over the world have recovered and only 3.7% died. We just need to be careful but not panic.

You don't know that this virus also damages male's fertility.

Hubei province(whose capital is Wuhan) gov website once suggested all the affected males within age range to do a fertility check. Then that post was removed just in time not to cause a wide panic.

79  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another terrorist kills people in London on: December 03, 2019, 02:14:31 AM
It would be really hard for Europe to deal with such events that would certainly increase over time. It's really wrong schooling and lack of love for each other that makes a person that inhumane.
Such event really justify acts by Chinese government to reeducate these brainwashed brutes who believes killing others is what their religion teaches.

Worth mentioning that the attacker received training in a camp located in Kashmir partly controlled by Pakistan.
And that region is just next to Xinjiang where the Chinese reeducation camps lie.
So it is obivious that CCP wants to use their version brainwash to fight against islamic brainwash.

Besides, I have seen a few Indians' comments about urging their govt to learn that reeducation camps system from China and uses it upon its muslim population. (As India controls another part of Kashmir sufferring severe attacks)
80  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Help I came home from school and my parents are gone - Chinese reeducation camps on: November 28, 2019, 08:00:14 AM
Reading through the article, I just get a feeling that the CCP is trying to brainwash the detainees in the camps.
That is precisely what they are doing. They are also trying to scare the detainees and their families into speaking and acting in ways that conform with how the Chinese government wants everyone to act.

You think the Chinese stopped using detainees for manual labor? I remember that was the usual thing done in these "reeducation" camps that were located in rural areas. I believe Deng (the guy who opened up China) himself was sent to one to work farms.

But yeah, these days it's probably just easier to use them as hostage facilities to cow Chinese family members abroad.

The reeducation camps you mentioned have been abolished in 2013.
Those revived in Xinjiang are of another kind.
I think CCP has found out the efficiency of the labours in such camps are inferior compared to those who serve in a typical Chinese sweatshop.
And to serve those sweatshops, the labours should be brainwashed first, then some basic skills taught.
From some perspective, CCP didn't lie. In these camps, they do provide skill trainnings which would make those muslims good cheap labours for sweatshops.
