1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is no one talking about this on: November 18, 2022, 09:16:31 AM
People are victims of their actions, how could you just make up your mind to leave your asset in a centralized environment, isn't that crazy, how can you do that, ain't you human, never in my life will I trust such useless process.

With that being said, Everyone seems to be doing what's pleases to them, and this bad actors playing the crypto industry like a football match, ain't making it easy for mass adoption, they're scary people away from it
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Curious to know about the UseCase on: November 18, 2022, 09:10:05 AM
Cryptos generally don't have a real use case, they have a theoretical use case. Their developers promise clueless investors that their coin will be actively used by people for something, but such promises never materialize. Unexperienced investors think that it's okay to invest in a product that no one uses, because users will come with time, they just don't think that users can never come at all.

There's no better way or better solution to this topic, than this lighting message here, it is true that crypto currency in general do not have a use case, it's just a case of tell it all, Accept or leave it. Without a proof authenticity of it
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Dexs are best for perpetual futures trading on: November 18, 2022, 09:06:55 AM
As long as Dex is involved, they have absolutely no control of location or anything. Of such, any Dex exchange that does that, just note that it is a Dex with name, but operate in Cex, as their real ultimate nature
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If this is all a project has to offer run and don't look back on: November 17, 2022, 06:33:16 PM
That topic is more for the Altcoin section.

Basically 99.99% of the new projects are trash, just to follow the trend, create a meme coin or "too good to be true" kind of scammers.
All of them are driven by greed, so they all end up in oblivion.

I strongly disagree with you that 99.99 per cent of Altcoin are trash, but I have no doubt that they're all element of centralization, We have Alt Coin that are really doing well for themselves, and things has really been upward for them.
My only concerning is creating a token without any plans for such project, I think the earlier we stop comparing BTC standard to every other will be far greater and better for us all. BTC open a new of possibilities, so it should always been respected for that. In conclusion some Alt Coin are superbly good, and some are useless, but not 99.99%. Also I will advice to stay away from project without real utility and use  case. Be warned
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: not_publicly_routable on getpeerinfo on: November 12, 2022, 05:33:38 PM
How do those nodes connect to me (or me to them) without me knowing their ip address?

Since those IP are private IP address (as defined by rfc1918[1]), it's possible those nodes actively scan the local network.

After establishing that part, each node in the network do also share each other information and the node may keep the information in their own known-node local databases, so other or you can connect to each other. For a further detailed explanation, you can refer to: https://developer.bitcoin.org/devguide/p2p_network.html

So when I'm connected to a  not publicly routeable node, does that mean I'm connected to it through another node?

No. It means it can't be accessed through outside local network since the node has private IP address[2]. Bitcoin Core getpeerinfo only show directly connected node.

Super, this is really informative, thanks for sharing those links, OP try and take a look at the second link as well, very informative and well detailed
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a Quality Post? on: November 12, 2022, 05:27:46 PM
Absolutely a very thoughtful explanation of the entire forum I guess, but if I must be honest, there's really no Quality post, and if there's, they're just few. What I found here on BTT Forum is informative post, which I think most people refer to as quality, we need to learn the difference, because everyone is just after quality post, they write heavens and earth all together, but one informative line, it's enough to spike a superb light in the live of forum users
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WBTC vs BTC on: November 12, 2022, 05:22:13 PM
I wouldn't even make a mistake of buying a clone BTC, For what reason, there's no possibility that it will grow and be more powerful than BTC itself, so I see that in my opinion as a total waste of a precious time, if it's Alt Coin, I will understand that you're looking for quick money and then get out of the system, but as long as Bitcoin is involved, it's all about holding for me
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Decentralized System: The way forward on: November 10, 2022, 07:33:31 PM
In the wake of all that's happening, I think this post in itself should be a wake up call to many, Centralized activities isn't really the way forward, hence we need to embrace decentralized system, OP I'm completely in support of all you've said no doubt about them
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Notification Pop for Wallet domain name on your trustwallet is a Scam on: November 10, 2022, 07:28:44 PM
<…>
I’ve been searching for any reported cases with the same/similar allegations as those depicted in the OP for a Trust wallet notification, coming back empty handed. I’m inclined to believing that, as others have mentioned, the notification was not the root of the issue, but rather either accesses a phishing site or a fake app with malware.

Depending on what phone your friend is using, and the OS version, he may be able to retrieve the notification history (not all phones allow this, but some do). I really doubt this has anything to do with it, but it you’re capable of accessing the history log you may be able to see something or other.

I also think it's a different source, I really don't agreed with OP post of this notification, something else is attached, you know how Newbies act, I guess he must have done something else
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recent event: Stay away from centralized exchanges (FTX, Binance, etc), use DEX on: November 10, 2022, 07:26:04 PM
This should be a welcome development to crypto newbies and existing customers, Centralized exchanges ain't really the best way to do things and store your coin, as a matter of fact, I always tell people, buy and sell Within some days, if you must hold, then let it be on your wallet and not on centralized exchanges. Honestly I'm not a fan of Centralization , There's just so much toxicity I'm them
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is BTC to the Society? on: November 10, 2022, 07:18:37 PM

12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Notification Pop for Wallet domain name on your trustwallet is a Scam on: November 08, 2022, 01:21:25 PM
I got this notification not long ago, but I just cancelled it, I didn't do anything to it, I think your friend must have done something else that warrant this, just this notification isn't enough to cause funds disappearance, I suggest you ask him more question about this
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are different way to earn money through Bitcoin on: November 07, 2022, 11:59:02 AM
You must be kidding, there's nothing really free today, most especially when the most powerful coin is involved, I'd advice to pick up your self, if you have service to offer, do that and charge your services fee to be paid in Bitcoin, as long as I Rember this is the only way that seems to look like you're earning BTC free, if you trying all of those crazy site offering and advertising nonesense, you might end up being scammed or in the hands of the Ponzi scheme, so you've just got to be careful.

Another way to earn is by stepping in, beyound the shore of your comfort zone, Invest in Bitcoin, give it time, and be patience the end is always great, remember like the previous comment, put your efforts towards learning and be be self skills this will help you greatly well
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Decentralized System: The way forward on: November 07, 2022, 11:51:09 AM
There's simply no doubt that the world is full of centralized activities, from government approved and controlled system, In our world today when reading through or taken a tour, you began to found out that except Bitcoin the digital currency of the people, nothing else is truly Decentralized, just like Charles has said, the only Currency or project that could have come closer to decentralized system was the Ethereum, which is now entering a further mental phase of highly centralization. Nevertheless as Pooya has stated too.

Decentralization is only good for certain things not everything, The example of ICO scammers is extremely thoughtful, but I will like to see a world that's more decentralized than the current system, We see all around us today.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are they set a broker in my pc and stealing my data ? on: November 06, 2022, 08:58:07 PM
It's clear that whatever is affecting your PC is right there in your PC,
I'd suggest you do a proper clean up of the system, Uninstall all Windows application and get something new to the system, format your hard and disk drive as well, Watch the kind of elements or devices you connect I to your system, stop installing pirated application from unverified source into your system. I believe if you take all of this procedures and follow up with the guidelines, you would be absolutely free from all of this
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As a newbie I think decentralise poses more threat to investors, correct me if w on: November 06, 2022, 05:35:25 PM
First thing I would like to ask you is this, What's your own understanding of Decentralized, Is slavery now better than freedom,
How could you embrace Surferness over rest and peace of mind.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scanning barcode to make payment on: November 05, 2022, 05:25:41 PM
Yes, Absolutely there's a risk attached, if the site has some Malware affliction, or the site has enablement of Phishing links, your device is likely to be affected, maybe with Virus or something else, there are cases where wallet eventually get exposed, Which is one reason we need to be extremely careful about the site we connect our financial wallet source to, Always double check before carrying out such activity
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One word is enough on: November 05, 2022, 05:18:22 PM

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One word is enough on: November 04, 2022, 04:43:39 PM
Well, OP, you've outdone yourself. Six months have passed since the advice of Henri Cartier led you to understand that the bounty company will not give you anything. You have succeeded in creating one thread about how to still get merit on the forum. You did a good job; you understood the theory.
What can you tell us in practice?
Do I understand correctly that you are waiting for the next “Henri Cartier,”  who will again reward you with merits and motivate you to develop? Smiley
Smile! absolutely Merit isn't the target for now, I've been here for long, learn as much as I could, I just feel it's time to give back to the community too, and also help newbies like me, It's good that Long serving members on the platform are offering their advice, guide and leadership, so don't get my intentions wrong. Concerning everyone comment and thoughts, Everyone is right, but the only thing I can say right now is this, Only time will tell. Thanks

Our senior members of the platform have really been so amazing, and it is a great prevailed to have amazing set of leaders, educating novice, offering selfless services, it's amazing and thanks to you all.

Years ago, I was introduced to the Bitcointalk Forum, by a serial bounty hunters, who gave me an advice that I could make money from the forum. So I rushed off and started participating in Bounty. Until a faithful day, I came across HENRI CARTIER post about Merit give away, I felt it was an opportunity to rank up and make more money, then I took part, this was the beginning of a bright future for me.

As a result of my post, I'd encounter a lot of criticism from senior members of the community, but this word of encouragement from Henri https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5215727.msg53750802#msg53750802 changed my life, I took off all bounty related post and started learning.
