Thank you fiulpro for hosting this thread for low ranked members like me. Also thanks Daniel91 for your extra merit. I feel motivated a lot by you guys.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Data shows Ripple's community is dissolving fast on: May 09, 2020, 09:29:22 AM
I speculate that much of the XRP Army on social media were fake and from farmed accounts created in an office hehehe.

Account farming was also done here in the forum before the merit system.
I don't think that the problem is because of account farming. In my place, Ripple was very hyped in 2 or 3 years ago. But over a long time, it hasn't accomplished any new development. This abates its investors' interest. Also, a number of people have realized the fact that Ripple is a centralized coin and stop following its social medias.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEX tokens/coins - The new gold rush? on: April 21, 2020, 04:10:42 PM
If you want to find another gold mine like BNB then take a look at Kyber Network. It's a decent DEX in which Vitalik Buterin is an advisor. Its native token (KNC) is being traded on various exchanges. IDAX is also another worth looking one. However, I don't think that DEXs will become popular in the near future. Seriously lack of volume is a thing but technology are more of concerns. KNC or IDAX can handle a small number of transactions but it's doubtful for them to handle the same amount of Binance's. This requires excelent capabilities of their native blockchains. Remember that even Ethereum was jammed by a small game called CryptoKitties a few years ago.
8  Other / Meta / Re: Merits did help to stop hate on this forum on: March 04, 2020, 04:23:16 AM
I am sure that after the merit system that is what helped to decrease the comments with hate as we have seen before. Now people have to think twice before insulting or attacking, after all, there is no reason to spread poison or bring negativity here. To the contrary what we really need is to bring any type of value we can to help others.
I don't get your point here. There's no real punishment for personal attacking or insulting (except for deleting posts/comments or worse - red trust). Why would people stop doing that for merit. Your "thinking twice" argument only holds true for serious members who really want to rank up or prove themselves. Shit members still shit all over forum every day and every where.

In deed, merits even bring more hate to itself from those members who can't rank up for bounties.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Do we need merit sources for low ranks? on: February 15, 2020, 06:06:36 PM
I believe that tk808 is a merit source and from his merit history, he seems to be dedicated to Altcoin Discussion section. He might be an example of a merit source for low ranked members. However, there are various ways to earn merit: helping other people, making jokes or funny comments, exposing scams, sharing deep, dark knowledge, etc... If you're good at any of them, you will eventually get merits and rank up. Generally, I don't think merit sources for low ranks are necessary. And if it is, who would volunteer to do that?
10  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records, here. on: February 11, 2020, 04:52:11 PM
To me 1234 is also a nice number. When we can have 6789?
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does Rooted Mobile Devices Good or Bad? on: February 09, 2020, 06:44:36 AM
Mostly around 2012 to 2015 you will see a lot of android phones being rooted to further customize or improve their phones by adding their own personalized theme, removing bloatwares that comes installed in a phone, and also overclocking and undercloking, all of these things I have said can be done now by a unrooted phone.
I just want to add a little bit. Besides customizing or improving, people root their phones in order to install a proper ROM for use. Back in the days, many good phones are made for domestic markets only or not distributed largely (Japanese and Chinese manufaturers are pretty well known for this). Nearby countries' users could buy their phones however they didn't support their local languages. Hence, rooting was the solution.

Nowadays, every manufaturer produces both domestic and international versions of their phones. Rooting for ease of seems becomes unnecessary.

Generally, I think rooting brings more harm than goodness, even with pro users: viruses and malwares can be featured in any app on CH Play, while mobile anti-virus apps have never been effective.

Dear forum member, I want to tell you a little about how I feel so far. After I was disqualified from the cryptotalk campaign by the manager because many of my posts were classified as spam [...]
Looking on your post history, I see a lot of posts on "Altcoin Discussion" board. This board is well-known as a place for spamming and post-farming. Besides, your posts in this board are usually one or two lines in length only. Maybe that's why the manager of cryptotalk rejected you.

Quote
Can I ask the manager why he did not accept my application ?
Yes, you should. Normally, bounty requrements are mentioned in the annoucement. If they aren't or you are rejected for unclear reasons, you absolutely should ask the manager. Knowing a manager's requirements, you can improve yourself and join their following bounties.

Quote
Improve the quality of posts first before joining a campaign ?
Improving post quality is a good thing but if you just improve post quality for bounties, then don't. Like @kawetsriyanto said, you'd rather make it a habbit. You have many more benefits when contributing quality to the forum. Take a look at Advantages of engaging in quality contributions on the forum by CryptopreneurBrainboss.

Accept the fact that I will continue to be ignored by managers for every campaign I apply for because of my previous posting history which might be labeled as a shit poster ?
Don't! Even you are not accepted anymore by any manager, don't give up on you. Your effort will be recognized and awarded deservedly. There are a lot of Inspirational stories from self-made promoted users, in which they admitted themselves "shit posters" but they changed and became high ranked, respectful members. Changing to become better is never too late.

In conclusion, I think you're being distracted by signature campaigns. The best solution is improving yourself first: join quality discussion and give your opinion. Good thing is your English is excellent, providing that you're an Indonesian (I guess).
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you find out about Bitcointalk? on: February 06, 2020, 04:21:10 AM
Unlike many people in this thread, I knew about Bitcointalk pretty late. Early 2019, I accidentally read an article about bitcoin scam on a local magazine (I didn't even know about bitcoin back then). Curiosity made me do researches about it and yet another accident, I found this forum and realized that it's the place I could find knowledge about bitcoin at the deepest, most complete level. But I was just a wanderer on this forum at first, reading only. Not until June 2019, I decided to register an account. But seemed like my fate with Bitcointalk was thin, I moved to a new place and started a new job a few months later. I was too busy getting along with new life to log in. However, things are better now. I can online 2 - 3 hours/day to join with you guys.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Hey theymos, can i get your attention for a minute. on: September 02, 2019, 03:20:29 AM
If you feel that you have a problem with insufficient merit awarding, then perhaps you could increase your standards for the awarding of merits.
I haven't looked at OP's merit-giving history, but your suggestion is generally a good one.  Merit sources probably shouldn't be handing out merits willy-nilly and should have fairly high standards.  Then again, Theymos did want sources to give merits to posts that are just "good", especially if they're made by newbies.  That was in a PM he sent last September if I'm not mistaken.
May I add something to your idea? IMHO, "Fairly high standards" should be in accordance with ranks. A high ranked member should be more challenged to receive merit. It's not really newbie-biased, though. It's just more difficult for them to produce a quality post than old, high ranked members, who are experienced ones. Besides, merit can be a catalyst to encourage new members to be active and contributive rather than just be here and wear a signature.
15  Other / Meta / Re: implementation of reporter badge? on: August 18, 2019, 02:52:45 AM
Implementation of reporter badge would be a great idea to prevent spam. As far as I observe, aside from a minority of members taking part in The SpamBusters Club, the majority keep neutral attitudes toward this issue. Some shiny badges under the display name would provide a lot of motivation for reporting spam. Some designs in the Seeking reporter badge images topic are pretty cool. It'd be lovely to see this proposal implemented.
16  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Question about Bittrex Exchange on: August 16, 2019, 01:43:18 AM
Lol. If that's actually the case then that's just borderline scamming from bittrex. A comma or a dot? seriously? I know them and Poloniex were scammy, but were they that money hungry?
A little bit exaggerated but it's true that my account was firstly classified "Name Mismatch" and then "Verified" after a few months I hadn't logged in. I didn't do any try to re-verify my account during that time. My name wasn't purely in Latin letters and that's the reason Bittrex didn't give a try on verify my account. Like I said, Bittrex was still among top exchanges at that time and they had reasons to be picky. But later on Binance changed the game and Bittrex had to massively verify users' accounts. However, their late moves wasn't able to stop people from moving to Binance.
17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Question about Bittrex Exchange on: August 15, 2019, 04:31:52 PM
<...>
You’ll need to open a ticket with their support and query the exact procedure and time it would take to clear your situation. Other people have undergone a similar situation using either fake or mismatched names with varying experience as can be seen here: Bittrex : Name Mismatch.
"Name Mismatch" is a very famous error happened to Bittrex's KYC in late 2017 and it's a totally different case. At that time, Bittrex was still among top exchanges and very picky with KYC. They even closed for new registration for some times. Every small difference, even a dot or a comma was deemed "Name Mismatch". But then when Binance showed up and attracted users for its low fee, Bittrex saw the threat and loosely approved all the undone KYCs. My account was a typical "Name Mismatch" victim but then approved without any of my effort.
18  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Question about Bittrex Exchange on: August 15, 2019, 03:09:29 PM
I believe your best solution is to contact Bittrex and ask for their instructions. You can summit a ticket here: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us and wait for their response. This may take a few time. Or you can open a support live chat by following these steps: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007383231-Live-Chat-24-7-365-days-a-year.

That said, a no KYC withdrawal limit of 2 BTC on Binance is a gift.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i just thought something about campaign on: August 14, 2019, 04:49:12 PM
I'm new here and just check some advantages on being here in bitcointalk.org. I've noticed that earning here was one of the major goal of other people that registered in here.
Though the forum is not intended to be a source of income, it's the fact that a vast number of people come here for that purpose. As far as I know, there're some even "bounty companies". Check this bounty review channel that I've discovered recently as an example: Bonanza Kreep. It's not a man's work to build such professional channel. Besides, they have one more Russian channel.

I concluded that ranks doesn't define your ideas because when it comes to campaign it is just define the amount of your payment and still lacks ideas on posting. any thoughts?
Somehow this holds true. If you take a look on Altcoin Discussions, you can see a lot of Heroes or Legends spam all around. Yes you barely can find any valuable idea in their posts because they're just for filling up bounties' post requirements. But anyway, the ultimate purpose of bounties is to do the marketing, as long as the project name spreads out, it's fine. This may answer the question that why even in some high standard managers' campaigns, there're still some low quality posters.
20  Other / Meta / Re: Does this post deserve 10 merit? on: August 10, 2019, 08:54:53 AM
The poster had some doubts on the project (GOLD) and the merit guy just wanted to show his strong agree. That's all I can think of. As far as I know, merit is not moderated and hence people can freely use it: as a way of agreeing to something, give-to-receive, funny post/comment... I don't think we should be harsh on merit.
