Would cashing some out via localbitcoins and then using the cash to buy food be considered cheating? lol

Cheating, definitely  Cheesy But nice try anyway.

Will try in a month when travelling to British Columbia! Hope there's more merchant adoption at that time.

Hope you'll have awesome experience and you'll share it)
1223  Other / Off-topic / Re: Travelling with Bitcoin-have you tried to? on: April 02, 2014, 05:00:20 PM
First of all you have to do a research of the place you want to travel too,so you can see what hotels/motels/restaurants etc accept bitcoins. This is an good idea to travel with bitcoin, maybe travel tourism company will have the brilliant idea to accept bitcoins.

Totally agree with you. I think that the first tourism company, which will accept bitcoin, will earn a lot on this acceptance. Even more, I suppose that accepting bitcoin will make any tourism company really famous. That's nice business idea)

I'm sure there is a documentary in the works about someone who did this. It would be pretty difficult I imagine, but I hope it'll become easier in the future.
Read an article about the journalist which lived 5 days only on BTC. Back in 2013 BTC wasn't as popular and the journalist really struggled lol. Can't give you a link tho.

I guess atm you can pretty succesfully travel with Bitcoins - there are a lot of Bitcoin ATMs in Dubai afaik - try to travel there. Smiley

I've already read this and the author's experience is truly awesome. Maybe I'll try to live only on BTC first and then I'll try to find some adventures travelling with BTC only. On the other hand, I suppose that it's might be pretty easy to travel with BTC and with USD (I mean to use both currencies).

So, I'm thinking about travelling with bitcoin. I mean, buy tickets with bitcoin, find a place to stay, which accepts bitcoin etc.
What do you think? Is it possible and have you got any usefull advices?
Btw, I've comed up to this idea after reading that article http://cointelegraph.com/post/travelling_light_with_digital_coins#.UzwdX_l_tqU.

Civillization is pretty similler, I love the 5th one. Extremly addicting.

Which one? Age of Mythology?

Gods and Kings (it's a mode for Brave New World)

I like it, because of the religion part - love to invent a new one and make all my friends suffer from how widely it spreads  Cheesy
1228  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-04-01] Coinarch - great expectations on: April 02, 2014, 06:22:39 AM

Try out the latest Age of Empires. Perfect to waste your time and to get addicted.

I'd recommend Age of Empires II: The Forgotten.

Civillization is pretty similler, I love the 5th one. Extremly addicting.

1233  Other / Off-topic / Ready or not, here comes "April fools"! on: April 01, 2014, 03:25:10 PM
So, today is a great day, isn't it? Check out this article http://cointelegraph.com/post/april_1st_with_cointelegraph_com#.UzrX-vl_tqU. I think that it's really nice to have an ability to laugh at yourself, as cointelegraph do.
1234  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-03-31] Two sides of "drug coins" on: April 01, 2014, 07:56:14 AM
Just another two altcoins at the end of the day. Giving it a specific name isn't going to ensure it is used for whatever it's named after. If dispensaries are going to accept cryptocurrency then I'm sure they'll just stick with Bitcoin.
Agreed. Adopting new altcoins is just too complicated. No services for it, no exchanges, no demand etc.
Totally agree with you, but as for me, there is one exeption http://cointelegraph.com/post/clean_water_coin_reinventing_charity.
The concept is so good, that I don't think about this coin as I usually think about altcoins. I'm not sceptical at all, I hope this one will do good.

Link doesn't work, but these type of charity gimmicks never really work either.

Corrected the link, sorry, my fault.
I know that it's a little bit naive to believe in such charity, but I really want this one to do well. I feel that I love the idea.

Still doesn't work for me. Is there a link to the coin on here?
I'll post it again, just for you http://cointelegraph.com/post/clean_water_coin_rethinking_charity, hope this time godamned link will work  Angry
It's an article with the interview. I just want to believe in people, want to think that they are good and that they try to make something, which will help other people to survieve in this cruel world. So if some kind of altcoin will help-why not. And I need to mention one more time, usually I'm very sceptical about alt.coins, but not this time.

The Clean Water Coin Initiative is the first ever coin designed and developed to be a nonprofit organization. What does that mean? We are a registered Nonprofit Organization and we’ve created a Crypto Charity and coin that lets a community actively participate in helping provide clean water. To do that we've teamed up with CharityWater.org so that we can create campaigns and raise funds for clean water projects. Also, the community can easily track exactly how we are doing by visiting our campaign page.

Sounds like a great cause.

Yeap, the concept is so perfect, I want to believe that this guyes will do well.

Yeah, that works, though I'm not sure if they're the first 'non-profit coin'.

Hmmm, that might be true, since I'm not the one who knows every alt.coin. Maybe they are the first who catched the attention to 'non-profit coin'? Anyway, I'm coming to the conclusition, that alt.coins is not the best topic to talk about. I meanthat there are many reasons why this theme will never become as serious as bitcoin is.
1236  Other / Off-topic / Re: Girl talking about bitcoin news on: March 31, 2014, 03:56:49 PM
Euh ! that's one weird kitchen?! Ok sorry joke coudn't help my self

Ok now bad joke asides

Well first of all it's a good start, while it remains not perfect, it is a good start and the right direction

There are some few things that are quite noticeable, the news flash coinsomething thing that keeps showing after each news

The accent is quite heavy I assume not an English native speaker, it is not bad but combined with a certain lack of dynamics in speech makes more noticeable, I think she should be more natural

Another issue was reading from notes and that's bad for a couple of reasons, it shows (or at least makes it look) that the girl doesn't know what she is speaking about hence no bitcoin connection, and it also shows a lack of preparation, (its a 30min video just a few things to memorize....)

That being said it's a good start, and not everything can be perfect from the begining, it's already decent, and the point I've mentioned are just to make it even better

Wow, thank you for a great comment. And nice joke, I like your sense of humor Grin
