824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Doje Coin is now Bank Note on: June 01, 2014, 02:52:21 PM
I didn't see a topic in here so I figured I would post it myself. This coin made it through PoW and into PoS with 0 forks! Not bad for a coin that started as a joke Smiley The network is extremely fast too, most transactions are fully confirmed in less than 10 minutes!! The website is now live http://banknotecrypto.com/ and on twitter @BankNoteCrypto

From the website:

Bank Note originated as DojeCoin, originally released as a "joke" currency it quickly gained popularity. Bank Note is the new brand for DojeCoin, devised to give the currency an identity of its own that doesn't borrow from DogeCoin - a fun currency in its own right. We felt it would be more respectful to "do our own thing". Bank Note has many attractive services and a fantastic community.

 30 Billion coins in circulation - not too much, not too little, a balance between a tipping currency and a store of value.
 Fast staking and transaction processing, great network speed.
 Fast and usable wallet.
 Strong and growing community.
 Strong base of investors pushing development and effort behind the currency.

Bank Note is trading on bittrex, still under the doje name: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=LTC-DOJE

Ok so......... WTF is gonna happen with Doje? DOJEMOO went AWOL and locked the Doje thread, are you going to do a buy back of Doje and replace it with Bank Note or are you just hoping to leave everything as Doje and hope the rest of the world pretends that Doje is Bank Note? also if Doje = Bank Note where the fuck did the other 50 BILLION Doje go?

I have 3 Gridseeds I just don't know how to setup solo mining lol I just got into crypto in March and have been using pools
Create an argentum.conf file in \Roaming\Argentum

rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=13581
rpcuser=[user]
rpcpassword=[pass]
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
gen=1

Change the stuff in brackets to whatever you want. Restart the wallet. Point the mining software w/ active miners to 127.0.0.1:13581.

sweet thanks and just to make sure for rpcallowip i actually put * or is that the IP of my controller i.e laptop

You can put 192.168.0.* for ip ranges from your router, or * for all ip's

Awesome thanks very much

829  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC being pumped at the expense of other coins? on: May 31, 2014, 09:59:01 PM
The last uptrend of the bitcoin isn't a simple pump, it was way underpriced after months of bad news.

Well there is deff that as well

+1

831  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC being pumped at the expense of other coins? on: May 31, 2014, 08:23:24 PM
If I had to guess I would say the first time they all went up was because anything even close to crypto got a nice lil boost from everyone rushing to BTC and everyone wanting some of the crypto pie regardless if it was BTC "flavor" or LTC, NMC, etc etc etc but this time they know most other cryptocurrencies are just good for the old PnD (like the girl you took to Prom) so they are cashing those in and going for gold with BTC
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: May 31, 2014, 08:12:47 PM
sorry VRC Team I didn't mean to hijack the thread I'll try to keep the focus of my conversation here on VRC lol
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: May 31, 2014, 08:11:32 PM
Oh I wasn't implying that crypto is Marxist I just meant the language in that post i.e. "Satoshis Gift",  the rant on capitalism, "Master Nakamoto" sounded vaguely like the Rhetoric that used to come out of Russia and that now comes out of N. Korea

not to mention isn't bitcoin like the epitome of a free market i.e capitalist payment system since it by design isn't regulated or controlled by a central authority?

834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pump and dump. on: May 31, 2014, 08:03:34 PM
I will admit SOMETIMES the fervor of BTC supporters DOES remind me of the Dutch Tulip Craze in the 1600's (I think) anyway Tulips (Yes the flower) for some reason or another became so prized and sought after that people blindly spent everything they had on them until one day everyone looked around and said WTF!!! these are fucking FLOWERS! Why was I gonna sell my house, land, and everything else for some again? and just like that they were worthless ***BUT*** BTC has an actual real world USE instead of being a stupid ass flower I'm just saying that it probably isn't the best move to take out loans and sell everything you own to buy BTC but deff get what you can with what you can spare
835  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC being pumped at the expense of other coins? on: May 31, 2014, 07:53:11 PM
IMO alts are great money makers for founders, insiders, and lucky people.  In general almost every alt coin is headed downhill over the long term, so a more casual trader is likely to lose money.

Very true there ARE a few exceptions to that rule but not many for the most part unless you are mining on the launch date and can hit the initial pump alts are EXTREMELY risky, thats why I use and endorse IPOMiner.com as my altcoin pool of choice that way all I gotta do is sell once I hit profit range which is easy to do if you get in during the launch of a coin and not weeks months or years down the road when its already firmly rooted in the Dead Cat Roll (to steal a phrase from Crypto Judge)
836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pump and dump. on: May 31, 2014, 07:35:34 PM
Very nice volume. Tryhard fanboys pump the price twice, the price and volume continue to decrease afterwards, volume was again back to extremely low levels yesterday. Get the bigger picture, pump and dump, BTC is done.  This is not how you attract masses, if you want to attract masses to sponsor your pyramid scheme, you gonna need to solve a problem for the masses, not for drug cartels.
I detect a little underlying butthurt.  Cheesy

Why should i be butthurt? Im investing elsewhere, im not the one losing 90% of his investment in minutes. (bubble, cough, cough)

Then why are you here?
837  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC being pumped at the expense of other coins? on: May 31, 2014, 07:30:46 PM
actually I'm pretty sure whats happening is that since the FIAT worth of other coins is basically remaining the same but BTC is rising thats why their BTC value is going down, compound that with people dumping their altcoins to get back in on the BTC Gravy Train and thats where the volume and further downward pressure on prices for altcoins is coming from.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I think that about sums it up.

P.s.

Also don't forget about the regular PnD cycles of crypto in general but especially when it comes to altcoins

Satoshi's Gift was intended to free the people of the world from the manipulation and ruthlessness of the Capitalist system and their domination of Financial markets and commerce.

The Sprinters R short-sighted, self-interested, and concerned about personal PROFIT. They R of the same ilk as those running the Parade Satoshi wants to rain on.

The Marathoners C the future and will take slow, steady, sure, progress with the benefits envisioned by Master Nakamodo manifesting as the system matures. They will profit but the Karma produced by their efforts will ring for eternity.

Would U give 10,000 AC for a pizza today?

Would U pay 10,000 BTC for a pizza today?

That was scarily Marxist....and has a feeling of subliminal messaging "R R C U U" after spelling out the whole rest of the post you substitute those words with their letters and capitalized them........I ain't sayin...but I'm jus sayin.....
