Guys when I look at my calculator on Betterhash it looks like I should be getting a lot more profit from ETH or MTP, but when I run the benchmark it seems like I can't get those miners to run, so it does Kawpow/Ravencoin which is costing me a lot. Is there anything I can do to get those other miners to work, and/or would I make more by mining ETH or MTP without Betterhash? Here's what the calculation says on their website:

It would have been a different story if gtx1050ti has a 8gb version, if it does mining Ethereum with the gpu will still be profitable, but the DAG size is over 4gb already making gtx1050ti useless right now, it's better to sell and buy better card, going back to rx580 8gb version will be better |

Hi guys, am just getting SERIOUS into mining AltCoins (namely using NICEHASH!!) am building my first real mining rig/high-end desktop PC with 3x 3080s and planning to build more GPU mining rigs down the road... Am am nicehash guy due to its ease of use and convenience cashing out my earnings to fiat, and i dont want to mess around with various pools, alt coins etc... I read however that ETH 2.0 might be coming out soon which will sooner or latter put an end to PoW Etherum, my question here: How will this affect program like nicehash ?? since mine is mining ETH most of the time !... and at the same time what will be the future of GPU mining when eth 2.0 is launched  thanks, There is other algorithms that are profitable on RTX 3080 like EquiHash and Octopus, even Ravencoin is still good too but I'm sure that you will have make your return of investment back before Ethereum stops it's POW mining because it can take more than a year to see that happens like KaratX said |

OP RTX3080 is a high end card, even if Ethereum POW stop today you will still make good profits mining with that GPU, Nicehash will have to resync and find the most profitable coin for your card once ETH is out of mining business

What actually caught my attention is the altcoin season and I wish to say something on it. It looks like a lot of people are patiently waiting for it but one need to ask some questions like, what is delaying it? Isn't it taking more time than usual? Why are some altcoins such as Ethereum, LTC, DOT, etc growing with Bitcoin without bothering and/or waiting about altcoin season? The simple answer I found to all these questions is, things have changed totally, it is no longer business as usual, that is, if a project have nothing to offer, it won't attract the type of investors that will invest and cause it to grow alongside Bitcoin than waiting for altcoin season; a good examples are the aforementioned altcoins. Also, the more Bitcoin grows, the more it makes it further difficult for altcoin season because it shows that, the attention/focus on it is still increasing.
Nevertheless, the crypto space can't not be predicted most of the times if not all the time, who knows altcoin season might still happen but no one knows when or if at all it will.
Thank you for the good observation, you are very right that things have changed marginally, Ethereum is trading at over 1000$ I expected many altcoins to have bring insane ROI already, in January 2018 Ethereum ATH was 1400$ and many altcoins like Zcash, Zclassic are over 1000% gains, now it's all about real use case, there is no more room for shit coins to surge, things have changed |

For me, it doesn't make sense to wait a bear market to buy cards to mining I agree GPUs prices are insane, and it's good to find good deals, but at MRSP it's impossible at the moment, even manufacturers will increase price due to the scarcity of components The moment to make profits is now, I prefer to pay more on GPUs and gain more money, instead of buy with discount of 10% or 15% but gaining 10x less in a bear market This is something to think, and I'll say again, I disagree with prices, but there are people paying more for GPUs but making profits and in a few months the GPUs will be paid Maybe, just maybe, we will find some GPUs at the launch of new Nvidias You can't find good deals anywhere online right now, all good deals have sold out already, I spent over 2 hours going from one store to another through retailers but none is available, Msrp isn't no more, the best advice I can suggest is wait for RTX3060 12gb that will be available anytime from now and also it's msrp price is around 369$ or so. |

You should be able to tell the difference when shopping online on alibaba and aliexpress, there are info about how many quantities of item a seller have sold successfully and there are many comments available from verified buyers too, also make sure you buy popular brands

I’ve been trying to get my hands on a 5700xt or 3080 at msrp for a while now with no luck. I admittedly haven’t put in much work other than searching websites and clicking the alert me when in stock button, so I’m wondering if anyone out there has some tips or tricks to get their hands on these GPUs. Not good, that project have been hanging around without any big approach from the team, it looks just like event other weak cryptonight projects out there, do not be deceived if volume is climbing up, volume isn't the reason why pro invest in projects, since Electroneum, Loki and haven protocol days I haven't seen any good cryptonight projects again

If you are having any tokens in your wallet that the value is less than 100$ it doesn't make any sense to send them to exchange at 10$ to 17$, this is what is happening with Ethereum network right now, you will even lose more if you tend to withdraw in Ethereum from the exchange, now all fingers are crossed, maybe the altcoin season won't even make any sense if all you hold is tokens? Typical Hashrate ETH for 1 1080ti is 47-52 Mhash, 180 - 240 Watt.
Heat is a problem, so bigger 1080tis with higher boost and lower temps are better than founders editions...
Founders edition are mostly bad for mining because the design carries only single fan, they have bad heat sync due to less fans, the best graphics cards for mining must have three fans to get rid of heats very easily |

If you can't find a single power supply with multiple gpu supports you can buy two separate power packs and use, but not finding means you aren't looking deep enough, go on Aliexpress or ebay, I'm sure you will be amazed with what you can find

Thank you for your answers. I still have a couple of questions about PSU's. Sorry if I sound dumb, I am very new to this lol  For now, let's say I only have 7x3070. One 3070 card needs a 2x8pin connection, so that means I need two 8pin both end cables to run one card, right? If so, that means I need a PSU with 2*7=14 PCIE slots? I am not including risers because someone suggested me using splitters that go from the cable that plugs in the card. Also, I saw that there is a Delta electronics DPS-2400ab PSU and I am not sure if I can use it, as it has 6pin slots in it.   You just need to do some diggings on power supplies, the best one among the ones I owned is a power color that has multiple gpu cable options, both 6pins and 8pins, I'm guessing around 12 different 8pins and can use 6pins out of the 8pins too cos it's convertible, do research mate, some power pack are bad ass |

Why would DAI be the solution to stablecoin? Where is USDT because this is the best stable coin in crypto world right now, centralized or decentralized I don't care, USDT is big enough and I believe it's right on top of every other stablecoins if not, top exchanges won't paired USDT to other coins on their exchanges, USDT got the more love that DAI, for now though
