Interesting observation.
Well, if personal information from Google or Facebook is that reliable, why don't the exchanges use them? There are people who will never use phones camera, finger prints sensors or biometric authentication features on their phones.. .  Internet devices won't have much on those kind of people. This is probably why verifying users identities via social media isn't used much.

I disagree. Even if you don't use any biometric authentication or your phone camera -- until you actually have a phone, you're translating data about your location (whether you use VPN or not), installed apps and so on.
It's not that I'm all about conspiracy, but prove me wrong.
As for verifying identity via social media -- it may not be using cause this isn't your passport. But that doesn't mean, that you cannot be identified as a real person by your phone traffic.

There's a way. A secret one.
Called 'deficit of calories'. Eat less, burn more calories. Everything else is marketing.

Strange question. Because of the politics? Economy? There are too many options, all are obvious.

I think you should go through the exchanges Terms of Service or FAQ to understand how they handle your private information...Not like they will be very transparent about it though but little explanation is better than nothing.
If you want anonymity/privacy you could use decentralized exchanges like Bisq.

Sure, Terms of Service or FAQ may be useful, but at the same time lack of transparency gives service an opportunity to use the it in their favor.
245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Fiat-to-crypto: is it safe? on: September 25, 2019, 01:31:27 PM
Hey everyone. I'm new to crypto and I wanted to ask if there's a point of buying crypto with a credit card.
I found a lot of exchanges where users can easily (as they say) buy cryptocurrencies with their bank card. I mean, at binance they request like a lot of data about me, including my phone number or date of birth.
Aren't they selling my private info (that would explain 0,25$ fee on changelly for example), and doesn't that conflicts with the statement about my anonymity?

That would be fair for every fiat-to-crypto exchange, so my question is: do you use it and is it really safe?

Came from the thread-near-by to say that robots are love Grin Though they are a bit silly (for now) but it's only a matter of time before people learn how to make them smarter and more useful.

Something that involves a person's vision? It's hard (and I don't even think that possible) to imitate abstract thinking.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Here to discuss UNUS SED LEO coin on: September 09, 2019, 03:32:21 PM
Here to discuss UNUS SED LEO coin. Who has heard anything about it?
Many articles assuming LEO has its growth potential, despite its specific.
I'm new to crypto, and I wanted to understand how LEO can cope with the crisis in iFinex. Also, many experts are saying that the coin is good for experienced investors (I read it on changelly blog). Why so?
249  Economy / Service Discussion / Apps for exchanging on: September 09, 2019, 03:26:21 PM
Can anyone recommend good apps on android for exchanging? What do you usually use? Was there anything new released recently? I'm new at this and interested in some non-custodial exchangers.

252  Other / Off-topic / Choosing etherium wallets on: September 03, 2019, 03:43:27 PM
Hey. At the moment I'm in the process of choosing the wallet for etherium (bye, paper). I've read a lot of theoretical stuff about different types of storages, but I also wanted to know about your experience. Any advice?
Thinking of KeepKey or Trezor.

I'd say Japan, but it depends. If you're well versed in unsettled laws - that's one. As for me, I appreciate crypto friendly environment. Portugal is also becoming interesting lately.
