Can anyone recommend good apps on android for exchanging? What do you usually use? Was there anything new released recently? I'm new at this and interested in some non-custodial exchangers.

I guess you can try shapeshift pr even Abra for non-custodial exchanges.

Since you are interested in apps, there  are numerous non-custodial wallets available also. You can easily use to store and/or send crypto to exchanges. You can try the likes of jaxx, coinomi,  etc.

You post confused.

What do you really want to do? Exchange coins? Like ETH -> BTC?

If you want to do that, you dont need an APP. You can just register on binance.com or go to some exchange service like changelly/easyrabbit and exchange your coins. There are even some wallets like coinomi which allow you to exchange your coins inside your own wallet (which is integrated with those services).

For high volume, Binance is better. If you have a low volume, like 50 usd or less, stick with those services I mentioned.

I do not recommend Shapeshift but they are enforcing KYC now, so be careful.

There is at least on advantage from Binance, besides high daily volume, is the exchange does not require KYCs with total daily withdrawal limit from 2 BTC and below. This is one of main attractive reason (besides other diversifying promotional approach from Binance and CZ) which help Binance is one of the biggest and most favorite crypto exchanges.
For crypto newbies, it is worthy to give them a note that on Binance, after successfully register accounts, people will have to answer quizzes relate to phishing. That is another great indiret customer support from Binance, by giving vital guide to users at their beginning minutes on Binance platform.

If you don't need the huge variety of coins and tokens on exchanges like Binance, then try using Abra[1]; and yes, it's a non-custodial exchange. They still allow the trading of a good chunk of coins and tokens though, but of course, I only use it for BTC. https://support.abra.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001777311-What-Cryptocurrencies-does-Abra-support-

Unfortunately they don't have a desktop client.

Alternatives, which as far as I know still do not require any verification are e.g:

Even you can use coinbase mobile wallet app to trade your coins but I am not suing it since its not supported here.

Shapeshit needs ID verification to convert.

I think coinomi has such feature but again it will redirect us into KYC verification so better go to and exchange.

Unfortunately, I've read plenty of posts and threads on this forum and elsewhere about Changelly requesting KYC on crypto-to-crypto transactions both recently and a while back, so if you don't want to have the risk of potentially needing to submit KYC to get your transaction finished, I'd suggest avoiding the site. The Changelly FAQ also states the site can request that you submit KYC as well as where the funds you deposited onto their site came from, and if they find your transaction to be 'suspicious', which they don't describe too well.

It depends on what kind of coins you really want to exchange. If you want to swiftly exchange between ether and ERC20 tokens, it pretty easy since so may of Ethereum mobile wallets support dapps that can hep you exchange the coins swiftly for Example;
Imtoken wallet 2.0  supports
-  Coinswitch
-  Arswap
-  Uniswap
-  Kyeberswap

The same applies to EOS and it's related Tokens. All you have to get is a mobile wallet that supports dapps

As for general exchange between different chain, I think shapeshift is the only one i know that has a mobile app thought is ratings on google play are not good.
But it actually easy to swap coins even using mobile browsers so you can still use
- Coinswitch
- Switchain
- Evercoin wallet
They are all non-custodial, look them up and do due diligence before using any of the services

Definitely dont use Changelly or Shapeshift. They were probably the best to get instant conversions between bitcoin and altcoins but with their recent KYC/AML guidelines I dont trust them with my personal information and neither am I comfortable with it.

Your best bet would be to sign up on an exchange that accepts your local currency and where you are comfortable with giving your KYC. Believe it or not, at this current state one day each and every one of us using exchanges would have to undergo verification to be able to trade. Make sure that exchange is trusted enough from you local users and then use it.

Hello! Changelly is here. We understand your point of view and are sorry to hear that you don't use us anymore. Yet we'd like to shed a light on our KYC/AML guidelines.

To begin with, Changelly is part of the crypto ecosystem that has to implement KYC procedure to comply with the regulators' policies. For these checks, we have a risk scoring system that is able to spot suspicious activity. It has proven to be very effective against money laundering, exchange hacks etc.
It's vital to mention that KYC is not mandatory on Changelly (actually, more than 90% exchanges are processed anonymously) but if a transaction is flagged by the system, it is put on hold and the user is asked to pass AML & KYC verification. We cannot disclose specific criteria for the reasons of security as potential fraudsters may use it to circumvent the control system. However, it's no secret that we are using a database of blacklisted walled addresses that is shared along with other exchange services and trading platforms for detecting scammy operations.

All of these measures help us prevent fraud and protect users who suffered from malicious activities. You may find examples of Changelly assisting in returning funds stolen here and here.

Changelly is a non-custodial instant cryptocurrency exchange. We act as an intermediary between crypto exchanges and users, offering access to 150+ cryptocurrencies. The company mission is making exchange process effortless for everyone who wants to invest in cryptocurrency. Operating since 2015, the platform and its mobile app attract over a million visitors monthly who enjoy high limits, fast transactions, and 24/7 live support.

Changelly offers its API and a customizable payment widget to any crypto service that wishes to broaden its audience and implement new exchange options. The platform also provides its Affiliate program with a 50% revenue share mechanism.

Changelly partners with Exodus, Binance, BRD, Coinpayments, Binance, Coinomi, Huobi Wallet and other well-known players in the crypto industry

We offer you an intuitive interface, the best exchange rates and secure transactions. We aspire to establish mutual trust with our clients; thereof we don’t have any hidden or unreasonable fees. We always charge only 0.5% fee for crypto-to-crypto transactions and that’s it, full stop.

Why not try to resolve those negative tags or issues first?
After shapeshift goes to that KYC road,i consider on using up Changelly and one more thing- how the heck i cant able to logged in my account? Used up that forget password link
but it didnt work out.

For the topic - ive been using https://coinswitch.co/ when it comes to fast or instant swaps.

If you don't disclose the criteria for your security system to get triggered, more innocent people trying to conduct trades on your platform will be affected than those who are money laundering or other illegal activities.

Just look at how other platforms continuously flag many people for suspicious activity while they haven't done anything wrong, and even after their accounts have been unblocked they still don't know what it was that got their account blocked.

It would be much appreciated to be a little more transparent, because people definitely deserve it, which at the same time means less negative threads on social media with Changelly as headine.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Your newbie only so better for you to use Coinomi because this have everything as a wallet then study Coinmarketcap like you can see a lot of trading site by this then about their volume and if your here i think don't use site with KYC like there's a lot here without it so better to use that than to trust them with your identity like where your place then more
But Coinomi used Shapeshift and Changelly for exchange for i believe KYC might be neede... or atleast there could be a maximum volume required to exchange before you are asked for KYC.

for coinomi yes im sure they have a kyc but for shapeshift and changely no they dont have because they are instant or on the go exchanger , you can just pick an amount of coins then they will give some deposit address and so on ...  its true that some sites wil only request for a kyc once you reach your limit as a basic user but these limits are big enough for a regular/small time user  . still i would recomend coinomi  as it supports different kinds of cryptos  tho

Why not try to resolve those negative tags or issues first?

If you don't disclose the criteria for your security system to get triggered, more innocent people trying to conduct trades on your platform will be affected than those who are money laundering or other illegal activities.

Just look at how other platforms continuously flag many people for suspicious activity while they haven't done anything wrong, and even after their accounts have been unblocked they still don't know what it was that got their account blocked.

It would be much appreciated to be a little more transparent, because people definitely deserve it, which at the same time means less negative threads on social media with Changelly as headine.

In what way can innocent users suffer from the KYC check? This procedure has become pretty common nowadays and aims to create a healthy and transparent crypto society. As other cryptocurrency services, we have the right not to disclose these criteria. All we can say that they are based on multiple factors such as wallets, currencies (especially after big hacks corresponding to particular assets) etc. And we wouldn't like to give carte blanche to scammy users who can use it for their own unscrupulous purposes.

We cannot vouch for other platforms in terms of blocking users. However, if customers pass KYC on Changelly, they will get a verified account. Those, who didn't go through verification, their account will be blacklisted.

I think he was referring to those who are using Changelly "anonymously".

Considering that as per your observation >90% of the trades on Changelly are done "anonymously", these people might have an interest in knowing what to do to not be forced to undergo a KYC check. The very fact that such a majority is not KYC verified just shows how important it is to people to retain their privacy as much as possible.

But then again, it's still a centralized service at the end of the day, with its own set of rules so people shouldn't be too shocked to see this happen.
