1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Batch #3 Not selling as fast.... on: March 26, 2013, 01:59:01 AM
I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on some Batch #3, 4-module units ....  However I have yet to receive the Batch 1 order, this is why I hesitate.

I can't decide... can anyone maybe help sway me in favour of pulling the trigger on the order??  Grin

Im hesitant myself. I think it smells a little fishy that they are only taking bitcoins and no refunds. They come off saying yeah we are supporting bitcoin by only taking bitcoin however, there is no refund. Even if they did promote a refund who are we going to complain to if you don't get anything back. Think about it... a currency that is not accepted as a real currency YET... The better business bureau would probably laugh at us and ask wtf is a bitcoin. Plus if you didn't even get anything from batch 1.... I wouldn't invest .

Another thought to... All the money that they are making from these orders is more capital in their pockets to build more machines for themselves. I wouldn't doubt your Avalon rig has about 2 months of burn in testing on it already. The unit are real for sure but we would all be crazy not to think that these companies such as BFL and Avalon aren't using these for their own potential gains. They will ship a few out here an there to keep people with the mind set that they are shipping which will acquire more orders. Im putting myself in the shoes of these companies...if I had the key to make millions of dollars and be set for life ...why share it ?

hedging? what if bitcoin fails? at least you got money from the ASIC

That's if you get the device is my point . I'm into BFL for 3 g myself. The reality is will i see the money again.. I dunno i like to hope so. An the bitcoin wont fail...its been proven. The only thing that will cause the bitcoin to be less desirable is if the govt puts restrictions on it or tries to outlaw it.

If you are so concerned about copyrights...Just don't call it Bitopoly . Make sure you make one of the community chest questions , " YOU HAVE BEEN HACKED BY CTOON6...PAY $200 DOLLARS FOR A YUBIKEY...DON'T PASS GO! "

Why make a board game on print with an electronic currency? I don't understand that. Instead of investing in print...you should make it a regular online game. People use money from their own wallets and deposit it in their monopoly account. Maybe 1 BTC per game per player. The winner at the end of the game gets a percent of BTC if they win and the monopoly website gets 1 BTC per game. The 1 BTC per game will be for up keep on the website and money to allocate to programmers for payment for future bug fixes and features to be added. Also you can have an API off the exchange for the value of the BTC. Print is dead. Go green brother. Besides you can target a larger market with this. I’d see if you can get a group of programmers together to help you with the project and get donations from the community. Just a suggestion.

Studio is in NJ. Any questions just email us at info@btcbn.com .  We are testing right now different formats for online interviews. Might use a go to meeting recording solutions, due to the fact it handles on screen recording. This way the quality will be better. If you have any more ideas, please feel free to post.

What would you suggest for mining software? All servers are running win 7. With Gui Miner. Has anyone had better success with different mining software?
19  Bitcoin / Mining / BTC Guild and Gui Miner " Wrong Megahash" on: September 07, 2011, 01:39:18 PM
Hey everyone,

Quick question. Im using the latest version of gui-miner and for some reason my GuiMiner will say Im mining on my one server at 1.1ghz but on BTC Guild it will say im doing 423 mhz. What the fudge? What causes this? What do you suggest I can do to fix this? Thanks
