1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: May 13, 2021, 12:44:00 PM
Friends, what is better to take 2 RX470 4GB for 391$ or 1 1060 6GB for 418$?
For mining Ethereum

Buy only 1060 (6), 4 GB is no longer relevant! In general, and 6 GB will soon not be relevant! Time flies fast!

Hi @Poenix
When new  version is ?
Personally, I think the other day! We are waiting!!!
Recently, wrote that a new version should be released this week

I bought an AMD RX 570 4 GB, tell me what you can mine on Phoenix Miner? Huh
Most profitable RVN or ETC. It is possible in the zombie mod x16 slot ether

Phoenix,

You guys may want to consider legal action. Seems like pretty clear cut defamation and anyone that switches off of PhoenixMiner because of their misinformation would be legitimate legal damages. If they want to be bullies a good legal punch in the nose is the least they deserve. If nothing else a letter from a lawyer may be enough to get them to issue a public apology if only out of fear of the legal follow through.

Also not sure what kind of Admin controls you have on this thread, but maybe prevent people from posting links, I've seen 2 brand new accounts in the past few minutes posting "temporary links for phoenixminer"

Maybe see if Bitcointalk can figure out where the accounts are coming from. Might be an individual bad actor trying to take advantage.

Sadly NH is not based in a country with a strong legimate legal system.  If it were, djeZo would be in the custody of the FBI for outstanding warrants regarding is 2019 crimes.  Suing NH is going to be an uphill battle and honestly the money is better spent building a better miner and promoting it.  Yeah it will take time for most people to get past the shit that NH threw and trust PM again, but like Johnson and Johnson (Tylenol incident) they will get past it.

I don't think you can sue without revealing your identity to someone.  This whole thing just reaks of ways to get him to reveal his identity which is highly sus.

My thought exactly after I read his suggestion LOL

Yes, I was able to sort out and configure my bat file only thanks to other sites on the Internet. I hope they will protect Phoenix, not nh. I also noticed how bloggers began to suggest that you stop using phoenix. I think there are even paid videos on youtube that "protect" nh.. Undecided

What about the 3060 cards?
Is Phoenix already optimized for them? Just offer to buy cheap rig for 3060.
Thanks

Hi!!
Help me flash the MSI RX580 8Gb Armor (Samsung)

Flashed many times with different timings from the forums. There are 2 cards in the computer. The first Gigabyte RX580 Gaming (Samsung) - works perfectly after firmware (30-31 mhs).
The second MSI RX580 8Gb Armor (Samsung) does not want to work, there were periods that worked on 25-26 mh/s with native firmware, but after the firmware (with timings on 1750 and 2000), the entire SYSTEM was almost immediately turned off.

Now, even with the native bios firmware, for some reason, it also does not want to work. What could be the problem?
Maybe someone has the same cards and bios for them?
And also, what parameters do you set in the batnik, those who use Phoenix Miner?

Sorry for the broken English, I've already searched all the Russian-speaking forums!
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: January 27, 2021, 01:04:01 AM

We will add this to the TODO list for a future release Smiley

and add more 500 DAG epoch, please!
I'm afraid someday the support will freeze like it did with claymore. I would like to have a lot of DAGs in stock right away ...
there is support for the 500 DAG, links above
means above 500  Roll Eyes
e.g. DAG epoch  900 support, or 1000
Yes, I think so too. I update very rarely, for me it would be great

What is your hashrate for 3060 TI?
I have a Zotac with difficulty gives 57 Mh.
 Card marriage or normal?

PhoenixMiner 5.4c (release candidate) is ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.4c from here (both Windows and Linux versions):

If you want to check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvidia cards under Windows):

The changes in this release (since 5.4b) include the following:

  • Added support for DAG epochs up to 500
  • Fixed crash (or GPUs not detected error) when using the latest Windows Nvidia drivers 460.79 and 460.89
  • Validated support for Nvidia RTX 3090, 3080, 3070, and 3060Ti GPUs. Those still use the current kernels and there are no speed increases from the previous PhoenixMiner release
  • Add support for the older AMD Linux driver 19.50-1011208-ubuntu-18.04 (used by some Linux mining OSes and other software)
  • Added new kernels to allow mining on AMD Hawaii cards (R9 390, etc.) with the current and future DAG epochs (even with DAG buffer above 4GB for the 8GB cards). Note that the AMD Windows drivers do not support compute mode for Hawaii cards, so the hashrate will be quite low (14-15 MH/s with the current ETH DAG epoch). This problem is fixed under Linux, where you can get the full 29-30 MH/s speed out of the Hawaii cards.

The changes of the previous beta (5.4b) since the last version (5.3b) are:

  • New kernels for AMD Vega and Navi GPUs that are slightly faster when the DAG buffer is approaching or passing 4GB in size (the current ETH DAG is close to 4GB). To use these new kernels, you need to use drivers 20.5.1 or later under Win10, or 20.10.x or later under Linux
  • Automatic re-running auto-tune as needed when switching to a different DAG buffer type (e.g. when switching from ETH to ETC, or back)
  • Added support for the latest AMD Windows 10 drivers 20.12.1 and 20.11.3
  • Fixed crash when trying to set -mvddc on very old AMD drivers (including the beta blockchain drivers from 2017)
  • Other small fixes and improvements

Some notes on the best (or at least some of the better) drivers for AMD cards:
  • If you have 6GB or 8GB card that is at least Polaris (i.e. 470/480/570/580, Vega, Radeon VII, Navi), you should run at least driver 20.5.1 under Windows 10, or driver 20.10.x under Linux.
  • If you have 4GB Polaris card (i.e. 470/480/570/580), ideally you should also run drivers 20.5.1 or later. At the very least the drivers should be either 18.12.1.1 to 19.7.5 (inclusive), or 19.12.2 and later. Under Linux, drivers 19.x.x or 20.x.x should be OK for 4GB cards.
  • Avoid using the 20.40.x, and 20.45.x drivers under Linux.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.4c

You've done a lot this year.
happy holidays everyone. Good rest to all!
THX for the version.  Cheesy

I am seriously worried that the developer will disappear like Claymore.
Therefore, you need to add DAG Epoch support to the program in advance.

Is there a serious bug in 5.3b? Perhaps its secretly mining dev fee?

Othput is fine against ethermine, everything looks normal. However nothing is reported at the site. Seems to happen after about 24 hours.

We are talking several rigs here...
most likely this is overclocking
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.3b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: December 14, 2020, 09:14:17 PM

Rename the existing nvml.dll in System32 to something else (e.g. nvml_old.dll) then copy the one from the archive in System32. After that restart Windows, and you should be able to delete the nvml_old.dll from System32.

Please add support for DAG epoch above 500 because I'll be calm and other mining programs have already done so.

Yes! This would be very useful.

When assembling Rig on "red" there is a problem with OpenCL, without Phoenix Miner doesn't work. Do you have any masters working with it?

Hello!
 I'm just getting into mining.
Everyone is talking about 4 GB of RX, and how lucky they are. Should I save money and buy AMD RX570 4 GB now? Or is it better to overpay for 8?
Please give me some advice Huh
Friend, I'm a newbie too, I've read a lot. Buying 4 GB is a stupid thing to do. With 8 GB, you will have more options for mining.
Take 8 GB!!!

Buy 4GB if it's cheaper

Friends, help me, I'm new to mining.
I want to buy AMD 5700 XT for ETH mining.
This is a good investment for mining: Phoenix Miner / 5700 XT ?
Yes, this is a very good card for ETH mining. But it will pay off faster - 5600 XT
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.2e: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: November 27, 2020, 08:18:30 PM
Hello,
My R570 4GB are working now under Phoenix but my R9 290 4GB not. Any advice ?
Thank you !!

4 GB cards can no longer mine ETH. Mine ETC. The coin is now mined with 3 GB cards
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: October 30, 2020, 11:05:13 PM
I just bought my first video cards. I have 570 4 GB. Why can't I mine Ethereum on Claymore? All sites advise you to do so. But it doesn't start for me. What do I need to mine on 570 Ethereum?

Unfortunately, you need a different miner. Try Phoenix Miner or ETHMiner. And be sure to insert HDMI into the built-in graphics!
