I have to disagree here. Before this tournament, I wanted the ODI format to get slashed too so that the T-20 and test formats would receive more attention, but I changed my opinion after witnessing such an incredible ODI World Cup. There were so many big upsets and miracles like Maxwell rescuing Australia which is why I feel that the ODI format should continue surviving. I respect your opinion, but we have very few chances for this format to survive because ICC and big stakeholders in this game are also not happy with this all now all day spending to watch this game is lost his charm many countries are suffering badly economical as well which is another factor and T20i can bring better revenue and money which could be helpful even now few countries are going with 10 leagues. If we have better way in near future then surely test could be restricted to the top 6 or 7 countries, and we will have the good number of teams in these formats like T20i and Ten league which good for the media rights holders and many other countries which are having good potential. |

They better do, I don't want Australia to win another world cup. Things would have been different had it been SA or NZ in finals (I like seeing teams winning the cup that haven't won it before). Australia has won various World Cups several times especially T20 and ODI World Cup five times but if other teams especially New Zealand, South Africa go to the World Cup, the beauty of the World Cup will increase. Moreover, if India becomes the World Cup champion this time, it will not matter because after many years a different team won the World Cup again. If any team wants to win world cup they need to be had top quality batsmen and bowler with mentality is also needed to be strong currently we have just two teams which are doing impressive in these departments with others are far behind which is increasing problems for them specially teams like South Africa, New Zealand and England which have enough sources and structure can do much better than this. There are two more semi-finals and one final match left, but I am very happy that I am in the top position so far, but I can't say anything for sure if I can be in the top position in the end. You have been such great at predicting margin, otherwise there is less difference in predicting right winners of the match between participants. Since Superbru gives 2 points for predicting right winner in semis and 3 for finale, second position 'kpk333' has still got the chance, albeit slim. The only way now you can lose is if you get next two predictions wrong and kpk gets'em right, he also needs to predict one game with correct margin. Agreed with just three matches and most chances we are not going to have any change into pool spots we have very few members which were not enough for having fun but still good and entertaining end of this pool hopefully OP will announce all details in next three days with all prizes will be distributed by @Royse777. I really love this game but sadly never have positive response from the members for the pool like this which is sad but if someone keep things at better way we can bring this into better entertainment without having personal ego's and politics. Australia is quite strong with their batting line up too. I'm expecting a competitive match between Australia and South Africa in the semi-final. South Africa had won easily against Australia in the group stage match. But I hope Australia will be able to beat them in the semi-final.The betting odds is in favour of Australia, and it is around 1.70× now.
I think South African team will give them tough time but at the end winner will be Australian because they made for surviving in such tough last stages of world cup, when ever they qualify for a final they won, so you can get idea from there how well their body language and confidence are high stage where mostly team chocked and unable to Handel pressure situation especially we have seen Asian team for such attitude. Anyway, it will be really surprising for me if South Africa beat them and move to the final, but I think it will somehow depend on pitch conditions and toss too. One thing more which I should add that Australian star bowler M.starc will take his retirement right after world cup from ODI format. You may be right but i have a gut feeling that India will win this World Cup. Simply looking at the performance from all the teams, you could see that India is the team to beat in this tournament and it will be a surprise if they do not win, so no need for gut feelings for that  . And as far as the last World Cup is concerned, I remember that England was given an unfair advantage in the last over and it was a controversial win for England. The rules were not set by the ICC when they saw England in the final, the rules were there even when the tournament started and if any other team or even Bangladesh or Pakistan were in the final, the same rule applies  . I don't know but I can see the ICC's new patterns, The Big 3 hosting the World Cup and winning it. Englands hosted in 2019 and England won it. This time India is hosting the World Cup and it is programmed for an Indian Win:  It is better to accept the fact that performance of the team counts rather than programming a win, if this is your theory that host countries win, historically the host country never won the World Cup historically and that trend was changed only in 2011 when India won the World Cup. I am disagreed about few things with in last world cup if we have not hosted in England then surely I can say England is not going to win because host countries having some support even no one officially going to talk about this, but this is fact which allow England to win their first cup, but now their golden era is going to end with few players going to retire after this event. It was an important win for Arsenal against Sevilla last week. Because obviously this win has put Arsenal in a much better position in the group. There are still 2 more matches to go but I don't think Arsenal will lose their lead. Their performance against Sevilla was rock solid. It was a really one-sided deserved win and Arsenal needed this kind of a win as well.
Because I think Arsenal haven't been performing very impressive in the English Premier League so far. This kind of performances would motivate them for more. But it is difficult to predict how far they can go here for now.
With this win now their spot at the top in this group is already fixed with others have to fight for the second spot with Lens could be dropped in next match as they are going to play at the emirates which is not good place for them and Sevilla is going to host PSV where we will have good game between these two clubs and winner could be having good advantage for the second spot even last group game is also having good twist with PSV will host Arsenal and Lens will be host Sevilla mean we will have all three teams in good intention but with current form and quality I am feeling PSV will be able to go through and Sevilla will be stayed into Europa Cup and Lens will be out of the event with their good performance but still things can take good change in any game. |

Currently, Manchester United is having serious trouble regarding their injury list which can ruin them in coming days with Newcastle United is also on same road with long list of injured players, and now they are suffering badly today's result is clearly showing how things are going from bad to worse for them, and they can't do anything for the improvement which is really sad thing. Coming weeks could be not easy for them if their list of injured players will stay at this level now after worst day I am also waiting for the same green signals in Super Sunday with Liverpool, Brighton and Barcelona in my list for the win with Leipzig and Napoli are also having good chance for the win and give good response to their backers. |

England squashed Pakistan surprisingly since I was expecting Pak to win this one. I felt that Afridi dropped the game when he dropped Stokes's catch who was in his 20s which was relatively easy in my opinion.
Anyway, both of these teams qualified for the CT 2025 which is the silver lining for them since they were out of the semifinals race before the match started.
In my opinion, Pakistani team didn't deserve to be in semi final , Pakistani team not only in this but also in whole tournament not performed well and the Pakistan played against New Zealand , Pakistan won due to luck.New Zealand team deserves to be in final , Semi final between India and New Zealand will be very interesting. England team not performed well in this tournament ,rather they are defending champion but they are at the bottom of points table. No one expect this type of performance of England team in World Cup. Indians are very tricky and they know all stat of any player and they plan and then execute it . But Next match will be very difficult for India because New Zealand team is playing good in this tournament and their bowling is top class . Santner will hit the wicket and he will be man of the match in next match. I completely disagreed with you about their performance win against New Zealand was not just because of the luck they perform well then ICC and event organizers give them two points and this rule apply for all matches and all teams with over all Pakistan were not good in this even but still I have feeling just two matches give them big setback first against Afghanistan and then South Africa they have done poor in these both matches and now have early flight back to home. Before the tournament started, no one would have thought that these two teams would perform so poorly. England, for most of the group phase duration was at the rock bottom of the points table. They won their last two matches and it enabled them to qualify for the Champions trophy. Pakistan was actually expected to do well, because they were in good form and also due to the fact that the matches are being played in the sub-continent. Their batsmen actually did a good job, but the bowlers failed them completely. In last few events Pakistan fail to perform as expectations which is surely big concern for them even every time we have good hype about them, but they never reach into last four as well with last time they lost final in 1999 and semi-final in 2011 after this we have never them at this point which is clearly indicating how things are going without any solid strategy and work they were here in India for the title and having same result which mean they need to sit and work out on their future if they want to have better results otherwise things like these will bring them down like we have cricket in Sri Lanka. Today I am really shocked as after 85th minute I was sure about Tottenham and my pool result as well with just gone away for the cup of tea and as I returned things were completely changed 2 injury time goals kill my all best wishes for the good start, and then I have nothing positive, but now I have gut feeling tomorrow I will be having good response from the Liverpool with few other results are also going to give positive response. This season is completely bringing all things badly down for me with after having 8th spot now I am down at 47th which is surely worst for me, but hopefully another turn will happen, and I will be at better spot in coming weeks. |

NZ is the team which has the habit of losing in the semi finals, and I am sure India will easily make it to the finals. The real battle will be between India, Australia and South Africa for the title.
