So you mean to say that this final was fixed and that the Srilanka team will get all out within 50 runs? This was not about the Srilanka losing the match but to lose it in a way that no one could predicted.
Think about the bookies who offered odds that the Srilanka will score 100+ runs and almost everyone would bet on it. Now, with this Srilanka match fixing and getting all out at 50, means all that money lost by the people and the real beneficiaries are the bookies who knew the inside news and of course the Srilanka players too for making this happen.

New Zealand need a big partnership now like Malan and Stokes have done for England. But there is no chance for them to make a comeback in this match as they have already lost their 5 top order batsmen. Anyway, I was expecting England team to score 400 runs. Surprisingly, their lower order batting lineup collapsed without being able to play the full 50 overs. I usually look at the bookmaker's odds to further get the confluence of who has more chances of winning the matches. Pakistan with the odds of 1.5 is clearly the favorite for tomorrow's match.
Something against the odds may happen tomorrow. India and Pakistan have never met in the Asia Cup final until now. I agreed with you specially after injuries to Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf can bring upset which can bring Sri Lanka vs India final. I am feeling Pakistan needs to work on for playing against quality spinners as well which is brought them down badly and their own spin bowling attack is also having no depth to stop quality batsmen like we have in Sri Lanka vs India match yesterday. |

5 or more members is way too low if you ask me. A total of 10 members at the very least would make the competition far more interesting and entertaining. I respect how you and Royse are trying to make this pool more appealing though.
There are a lot of members in the cricket thread but most of them are spamming for the sake of their signature. They don't join pool, they don't gamble. If there were enough gamblers from the cricket thread, I think we would also get sponsor like soccer is having. Count me in if the total pool size is more than 10 people. I will check and send the fee within a few days. Here I completely agreed with @Little Mouse because we have nearly 15 to 20 cricket loving fans here from few countries, and they all can make this a good for fun and enjoying but mostly love to spam for the signature and have no courage for joining here and check your cricketing knowledge. I am participating in soccer pools also just for fun which is good experience for me hopefully things could be good and interesting here in this pool as well I will send my fees in next few days. This is my personal view all members are aware about this but mostly are not interested which is wired because I watch in last IPL pool which was organized by you many regular members were not take part which was wired so again same thing happening even still we have 25 days and Most chances we will have nearly 5 to 7 members but look like priorities are completely changed recently.
I can't figure out the exact reason for this lack of participation by the members. Well, the last when I participated the entry was free (in IPL Pool) and this time there is an entry fee, so maybe this is a reason why members are reluctant to join the pool. Don't know the exact reason but it seems that such pools are not trending at all in our forum and no one is keen to take part in such pools. I partially agreed with your opinion because in past we have few pools with high fees as well and right now we also have few pools running with very high fees but mostly are in soccer so just because of this too many participants are around there but here we are having conflicts of interest so just because of this mostly not participating in these pools. Everything will be dependent upon the match tomorrow now, if India wins tomorrow I'll say India and Sri Lanka have a good chance of qualifying while if Pakistan wins tomorrow I'll say it's Pakistan and Sri Lanka which have a higher chance of qualifying. Bangladesh's performance was really very much expected. They are really not playing their best game in this tournament.
There can be a Pakistan India final too and let this happen as we never had a final between these two countries in the Asia Cup. That is really strange as both are the strongest teams among others and they should have met in the finals of Asia Cup more often.

LOL... I watched this match until 26th over of the second innings and then Pakistan was at 146/1. Then I had to leave as I had an important office meeting. And when I finished my meeting and went back to my personal laptop, the match was already over. But I never expected a match this close. Pakistan just scraped through in the end by the smallest of the margins. And I believe that this is the second time that Naseem Shah is doing something like this against Afghanistan. If I am correct, he did something similar during the Asia Cup as well.
You are correct it's second time and first was in Asia Cup while Afghani's were rude but today again they were feeling good after Shadab Khan run out, but Naseem Shah have other plans for them good win for the Pakistan after doing good work in early overs and having collapse in last few overs just Pakistan can do things like this mean heart attack situations for their own fans.   |
