Okay this is really ugly right now. I downloaded the snapshoot image (thanks tekna) and setup a second machine with the old wallet file. Now i have two computers:
1) Block High 716871, 18 connections, 35 million coins (in fakt not working)
2) Block High 728914, 6 connections, 32 million coins (01.nov 2017)
Both are staking and in sync. I guess machine #2 is connected to the network assumed to be the actual one.
What a crap coin ! We have 2 networks now and if a new user runs the wallet they might connect to network number one and all transactions from or to an exchange will
get lost. I only lost 2x 100 coins in a test transaction.
Thats the reason why people will just buy ripple.
The second one is the right one and you didn't lose money, it's time to rescan the chain at this point. Please follow the rescan steps as I wrote in the first message and let me know. Unfortunately that mess has occurred, it can happen in a experimental chain, but I am personally taking care of the situation cause I believe in this project. |

The current right chain is at block 728746 (increasing, so count from here) and the current updayed wallet is Ver. 0.8.7.2-Patch2 Alpha. If you're not in the right chain or in the last wallet or you are sync from scratch: COMPLETE WALLET UPDATE GUIDE BY TEKNA: I'm in the right chain and this is what I did:I downloaded the new wallet (v.0.8.7.2-Patch2 alpha), I cancelled the .exe application of the older one in the principal folder, I cancelled everything in the roaming folder except wallet.dat (everything, also the conf file, not the wallet.dat), and I put the bootstrap (snapshot)files in the roaming folder. Then I added the new list of nodes from espers.io. How to find the "ROAMING FOLDER": find the function "search" on your computer amd fill the field with %appdata% . The automatic search will show you the following path: C:\Users\name of your computer account\Appdata\Roaming. Click on it and look for "ESP" folder. Nodelist: https://espers.io/download/nodes/node-list.txtSnapshot: https://mega.nz/#!EjhiHRxA!wClv0XZK8t2W6AnO6gSq2RfDD6WMiy6FGM9-wdC6neA Windows wallet 0.8.7.2: https://mega.nz/#!phtGlQAY!5AYa6XgbosqZnmmyLVk1uh69x7hAx_7cTJFOzDyzqE4 IF you have any kind of problems after the fix (your money don't appear in the wallet, wrong amount of money ecc), you have to RESCAN the chain: create a desktop shortcut of the wallet + click on it with the right button + click on "properties"+ detect the field "target" + scroll the title until tge end and add at the end -rescan (after a space) + reopen the wallet. IF YOU SYNC FROM SCRATCH: you have only to add the snapshot and makw the substitution of all the file inside thw snapshot folder in the roaming folder (except wallet.dat). N.B after the update PAY ATTENTION to tranfer money to/from exchanges, they didn't confirm that they have updated the wallet and it's possible they are in the wrong chain. Hello everyone,
as promised, I want to do a book report of the meeting session with Dev that happened last night (lol in Italy it was night).
That's because I think the information Coderz provided have accredited Espers as a great hold coin and probably have taken it at today's value.
As the information currently are, Coderz is already working on the website on chain, and that's a great news! Esp team are waiting to have a conversation with bittrex staff as well, it will happen this week or next one. Dev says Esp and Insane are the primary focus among their projects, but Espers is the only coin Dev has created, and this is another point in favour of Espers fast development.
Here are the main questions and answers from Discord chat:
Question: after going through the recent problems listed on bittrex, I have seen that multiple double spend attacks will result in a wallet removal. How does espers "stack up" compared to the other small coins is espers a safer "small" coin.
Answer from Coderz: Espers is definitely a safer small coin as you put it. The reason being is the long transaction verification that requires numerous confirmijng blocks prior to the network accepting a transaction of any kind along with velocity chain cinstraints and vrx retarget system Espers is arguable one of the more advanced coins out there.
Question: how much will a mastornode get?
Answer from coderz: with the new masternodes system we are writing we're doing it in such a way that it will be intuitive and easy to use unlike the current method. It's still being written but on course to completion. <the amount has not being decided yet (my note)>
Announcement from Coderz: Next week we'll have the white paper written up and released with a detailed list of goals and features as well as how they work and how we plan to accomplish it all.
Question: Do you think that with ESP's technology, it can reach heights of a coin such as LTC (trade wise, not price wise.... maybe)? Are you this confident in your own abilities as a developer?
Answer from Coderz: I'm confident in the team's abilities. My abilities are my own while together the team is able to make a lot more happen than I could on my own. I'm regards to Espers becoming big. I absolutely believe it will there's no reason why it won't and can't other than sheer neglect lol. It's got a solid idea behind it and the team is working to achieve the goal one roadmap checkpoint at a time. Even a few things that aren't mentioned in the roadmap we're created and implemented to improve the system.
Question: will the messaging system work on the mobile wallets?
Answer from Coderz: the messaging system and sdtakung is planned to be 100% functional with mobile wallets.
Question: can you explain what exactly the site on blockchain is?
Answer from Coderz:sites on a blockchain is a feature where you'll be able to host and access websites through a unique encrypted session allowing your browsing to remain privste, your connection to the site encrypted, and the site itself to nk t have to rely upon being hosted on an individual server or device.

Yeah, I was rather thinking of some anime stuff but you totally get the idea!  The task is to really get the theme and idea of Espers known in the context of other big currencies. > Japanese people are about technology.
your inside is somehow correct. on the other hands, majority of Japanese are not tech savvy particularly about blokchain technology.
So, that's why I am asking some of devs, what's beauty part of your coins and solutions.
If you highlight "HMQ1725" is the one, you will not get buy in from those investors. While there are may English translates in Japan. And also there are some algo experts in Japan. However, we do not have much of them having "both capability". So, the potential of "HMQ1725" can not be impressed to those investors whom lack of English.
Someone PMed me if I can provide a Japanese translator for your dev, yes I can. but please note that as I said, capable resources are so limited and quite costly. Those party are also favor to do their job for potential project only in a sense - in that case, cost can be reasonable.
If I recall correctly, this ESP1 has distributed freely when you register somewhere other than bitcoin talk. That was an beauty part of the project. However, it's over and not happening again. even ESP1 is dead and ESP2 is running.

Your remark is a really good one! I have asked Cryptocoderz multiple times how he would summarize the ultimate goal of this coin, the "core idea" so to say or, how you put it, the beautiful part... he seems to have difficulties putting it right on the spot like that himself. The essential problem here is not only having an idea (which I am sure CC has), but also expressing it precisely. "Features" is not what impresses investors, like a cool algorithm, masternodes, some chain magic ... but the core idea that links everything together so that everything makes sense! All of what is currently being worked on is laying the ground, but for what? That's the real question. If CCz does not want to reveal these things yet, or is still in the process of developing the idea, we'll sure have to wait with this promotion effort until things are ready, as Tekna says correctly. That's just my little opinion, but I want to share it with you. I'm studying asian markets in general, and I think that japanese market is too difficult to get in considering this stage of the coin. If japanese people are involved in technology and investments, they want to know more than DEV himself about the project and want to have the best part of the project ready. If we want to invest in asian market, Chinese - Korean - Japanese markets would be the best order for getting in. Just an opinion, guys!
My impression was that Chinese exchanges are more difficult to get on, but I may be wrong with that. If you want enter entire ASIA, best practice entry point would be Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. Mixed culture there excluding Japan. Korea is actually, a small market, and dev will be asked everything must to be Korean localized and suddenly leave from dev and newly create copy one and will say "we are the origin one". "Don't do Korea" - Google it. If you win Japan market, it will be highlighted to other Asian market, particularly, if dev have confidence the product is something cutting edge or something beauty. Money monster China loves brand like Ralf Lauren or Ferrari. I don't think ESP2 has good brand enough unfortunately. I ask again what is beauty part of ESP2? This threads gave me good education that if I can be of any help.  Yes, the best practices are exactly these, but I think that is not our burden to build a complete strategy to break into asian market. My suggestion is that a little investment would be better spent changing the order of markets that have been proposed, cause Japanese people don't pay attention to manga when they are involved in technology and innovation, but are very attentive and severe on features and time of implementation of these ones. Once ESP will be in Bittrex, the coin will be naturally "brandized" and Chinese markets will be a way more affordable. After this, the new implementations will be interesting for Japanese market. This is the order placed in my mind! |

Do you guys think it's possible Espers could eventually reach 1000 sats one day? I know it would require a high market cap. I think 300-600 sats is very possible. I am not sure about 1000 sats though. What do you guys think? I am excited about the future of Espers. I have already actually used Espers to buy other coins on Nova exchange as a test. It works really well.
No,its not possible. Very much peoples holding 1 mil and more espers and we will be millionares? NO. I don't totally agree with it: some storical holders who bought ESP this winter has found in 15 sats the good point to exit with a great profit. In the future, the holders who have 1 mil esp that has been bought in these days will find in 100 sat a good point to exit the market with a good profit. At that point some new investors will have Esp, but considering 100 sat as "the floor" and finding in 250 sat a good point to exit ESP, and so on. This is the market, it can't be predicted considering today's holders. But I agree that ESP has to work hard for reaching new higher floors; I noticed that holders are extremely strong hands, so I'm sure the community will be a great support for the future explosion of Esp. I believed Espers from the beginning and I keep doing it! |

Dev disappeared?
For new investors: Dev is working hard at this project, which has been taking more than a year of developing. He isn't often on bitcointalk to invest time on developing instead of reading many comments that are often the same. There are some people here that will help to clarify your doubts to let the Dev developing. You just have to identificate them and then talk with them (you can do it just reading some last pages of this thread). So don't worry, we are here from the beginning and we know that Dev is more than present, but he need his time. Every time he talks to us, we are ready for a big implementation, cause when he is here, is here to make Esp even bigger. So nice to see how work proceeds! I have the same problem someone has stressed, my wallet doesn't sync, I cancelled conf and peers as well, then i added nodes BelgianBoy has suggested, but nothing works! Let me know if someone is able to get over this problem!
Someone downgraded tot 8.5.4 to sync and after he Will do the new update. Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately even adding the nodes the wallet get stuck after 5 blocks, so weird, I'll keep trying! I'm back with some news! I've been in Seoul for about two months with my own finances and I made first clips and photos, starting to write the guidebook as well. My plans are changed a bit.. I'm currently working night and day in Italy trying to achieve the right amount of money to apply for a korean graduate course (International studies), that's because I litterally fell in love with this place and I want to wrap up my studies in this incredible place. Due to this, the campaign is freezed and I will do everything on my own, because it will be a long term project, and I don't want some of you to be disappointed by waiting so long.

I don't know how many girls are there and from which country they are from, but, as a woman, I want to celebrate this day with the bitcoin community as well.
Some of the women are here, and has known bitcoins, due to their passion in this field; others are here because of financial difficulties. To all of you, I just want to say to stay passionate or keep up in your struggle, because innovations and financial "B plans" need minds from both genders as need different theories and strategies, for which every one of us can give a great contribution!
