461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt will partner with Starbucks for Bitcoin on: November 03, 2019, 11:24:27 AM
Bakkt was expected to make a big impact on the market. To the expectation nothing big happened, the price dropped. Bakkt partnering with Starbucks will happen through some intermediary and not directly. Till day most of the service providers accepting bitcoin were through bitpay and other services.
Even though it's not big news, but this is good news for using Bitcoin. we know, BAKKT news about accepting bitcoin does not affect the price of bitcoin. but with the wider adoption, our hope is that Bitcoin is one of the currencies for official transactions that are used for daily use.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt will partner with Starbucks for Bitcoin on: November 03, 2019, 06:52:45 AM
Weren't they sort of affiliated with Starbucks since it was announced though?

Anyway, while I don't think that much people using bitcoin to pay for Starbucks(probably only a small minority), this is obviously still a win in terms of adoption and public perception. As time goes, the criticism "you can pay X with bitcoin" slowly but surely fades away.
I believe so - after some digging of my own, it looks like they where in the talks about implementing a payment system for starbucks, long before today. Read - https://cointelegraph.com/news/coffee-for-bakkt-starbucks-equity-deal-will-see-crypto-based-payments-source-claims.

I agree, it would need to be a consumer that uses the Bakkt application, and it would also be someone who has a decent amount of cryptocurrency to spend, and wouldnt mind using it for a daily coffee, a small amount of people, but I think the win is more that big companies like Starbucks are taking note and leading ahead with the adoption.

Nowadays, we can use BTC on Amazon, in a couple months we can use it on coffees, and soon later we might be able to use it for everything!
with great hopes, everything is being done. when the government banned but companies used. in the end the country will approve it. as a bitcoin user, support for companies that use crypto is essential. hopefully every day there are changes for companies in using crypto currencies.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt will partner with Starbucks for Bitcoin on: November 03, 2019, 06:14:38 AM
It's good to see mass adoption for Bitcoin but starbucks still not accpeting direct payment BTC. So BTC will convert to fiat first thru the app which might slow the process of transaction unlike if its a direct purchase using BTC wallet. But still a good sign for crypto progress
yes, I think it doesn't matter, even if you have to convert to fiat first. at least the introduction of bitcoin has begun. because with over 3000 Starbucks stores, it is expected to help someone who is not yet familiar with bitcoin can understand its usefulness.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bakkt will partner with Starbucks for Bitcoin on: November 03, 2019, 03:00:49 AM
Bakkt, a New York Stock Exchange-owner backed bitcoin and cryptocurrency venture, announced this week it plans to launch a consumer app for cryptocurrency purchases in 2020.

U.S. coffee chain Starbucks will be its first launch partner, with the company one of the original backers of the crypto project, along with software giant Microsoft and Boston Consulting Group.

465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: November 03, 2019, 02:27:41 AM
Because Bitcoin is anonymous, Bitcoin cannot be controlled by anyone, Because the price of bitcoin is volitile, Because it is too risky to invest here because of the threat of hackers and more, which prevents bitcoin from being recognized as one of the most beautiful inventions of this era.

From all of the things you've said, I guess the accurate one why it is difficult for countries to accept it is the fact that it is decentralized. No one controls means the government will be having a hard time supporting it. We don't need to talk about investment here since the acceptability of bitcoin circulates to it being decentralized.
Yep, that's good ... as long as there are no heavy sanctions for bitcoin users in investing, then use it well. and as long as it makes someone better in finance. then don't let go. continue to learn and collect bitcoin. although one day apart from state regulations and bitcoin runs alone. don't take it off. because we don't know what will happen for the future of bitcoin. surely we believe it will get better.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to buy crypto? on: November 02, 2019, 02:04:09 PM
Hey! I want to know how to purchase crypto safe. I don't want hackers to steal my money, and I don't want exchanges to sell my personal data. And is it safe using non custodial exchanges like changelly and shapeshift. Please help!
You said you want to buy crypto. lots of crypto is exchanged. But you don't want it. I assume you want to buy privately. You can buy bitcoin at a bitcoin ATM. it doesn't need your identity. but if it's not there, I think the best way is through an official bitcoin exchange. because security is guaranteed, convenient, through a debit or credit card. like bittrex, binance, etc. after that you can move your crypto in your personal wallet. and the safest is the hardware wallet.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting scammed on: November 02, 2019, 12:23:50 PM
that's common in the crypto world about bounties. many requirements after filling all, apparently not paid. I personally have several times not paid for my work in project campaigns. last is JINBI. same as you, campaign for months, filling out forms, KYC, deadline. and they don't pay all participants. lots of scammed in the crypto world. then it must be more careful in choosing a project.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto advice needed on: November 02, 2019, 11:52:16 AM
sell all the shitcoin, and move it to a definite asset. Big 10 crypto is the best coin to hold. I personally, when I got the airdrop always sold it and moved it to Bitcoin or ethereum. because in my opinion this is safe from the destruction of values. Don't hold shitcoin or your friends will lose that value.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: !!! SO MANY PROJECTS !!! What 's going on ? on: November 02, 2019, 09:35:34 AM
mostly yes, they make good news so investors are interested. so that when their ICO can be successful. so far I have not found the best ICO. even worse. I analyzed the ICO project several times, with good news, good price estimates. but in reality they are listing in a small market, and the prices are very bad. I think their whitepaper and roadmap are just writing without action.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS GONE? on: November 02, 2019, 08:56:38 AM
as you can see guys, crypto is currently very chaotic, especially about altcoin. I'm saying this isn't as good as when you first left crypto. because I think you left crypto while it was still good. the current altcoin state is 70% has no value. but it also doesn't have a clear project. This situation occurs because thousands of crypto projects are growing very fast. thus making the crypto world unstable. very many scammers. so be careful. if you hold altcoin, make sure it has a good future.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't want Bitcoin, You don't want Future :-\ on: November 02, 2019, 04:54:00 AM
yep, Bitcoin does have a positive effect on me and my family. Before getting to know Bitcoin, I was a construction worker. my job makes it far from family. but since I got to know bitcoin, I decided to stop working and move on to bitcoin. and the change is amazing. I work freelance (crypto traders) close to my family, lots of time for family and often take family picnics. finances are improving, and I can buy a house. in my opinion, the use of Bitcoin is more than just a bank.
472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What scares you the most? on: November 02, 2019, 03:03:56 AM
I personally save in several places for private keys. My fear in crypto is not losing my crypto assets or the price of being zero (0). but I am afraid I did not have crypto assets when crypto started to the moon. so I could not party with the others, who had been prepared long ago. I am not worried if the market becomes 0, because 99% is not possible for 1 night. except the internet is dead. My second fear was that when I crashed and was in a coma or died (hopefully not) it did not tell the private key and how to open my assets to the family. so I taught my family.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share Your Experiences on: November 02, 2019, 12:52:50 AM
Was reading about how Bitcoin first came into existence and people's first experiences with Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, etc on Reddit. I want to know how your guy's first experiences was with Bitcoin, and if you ever had any regrets or wins throughout the years. Also, would be cool to know how people first actually got Bitcoin back nearly a decade ago when it wasn't as easy as buying some from a local Bitcoin ATM near you.
I found out bitcoin from a trading analysis app, it is SparkProfit. where every member who succeeds in guessing the price movement will be paid a dollar. and withdrawal options are via Bitcoin. after that I searched for new information, and got the freebitco.in website and the flappy bird game. who pays bitcoin too. in one month I make 0.2BTC (rate 300 $ / BTC in 2014) through faucet etc. until now I was trading and Bitcointalk. and my regret is always converting my BTC to fiat. so I can't take high prices in 2017. and after that I started collecting BTC again through Bounty and trading. I never buy BTC from ATMs or etc
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: November 01, 2019, 01:49:01 PM
You don't know why US SEC is doing it. They are trying to delay the big blast off the price when they allow even a single ETF because the accumulation phase is still ongoing and prices need to remain both stable and cheap to impress SEC for their state of described time. About the countries, G20 had already discussed measures to be taken to prevent crime being done through crypto and appreciate Blockchain. If they are accepting the technology, they will understand that the need to accept Bitcoins is more important than that because Bitcoin is the reason why Blockchain came into limelight.
do you mean that bitcoin holders are agreeing to keep prices stable and cheap to convince the SEC that Bitcoin is safe. if it's like that, I think that would be an SEC reason to keep delaying ETFs. because when ETFs are accepted Bitcoin will jump up and have irregular prices. especially about the increase. maybe I don't really understand about the SEC's decision to keep delaying it. But what I focused on was why did Bitcoin and blockchain begin to separate? right now I feel that Bitcoin doesn't want to be accepted in large countries. but they adopted the blockchain. what I might see is, countries will make their currencies on the Blockchain network.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between altcoin and bitcoin ?? on: November 01, 2019, 12:36:42 PM
Bitcoin is the first decentralized crypto currency that runs through the blockchain network introduced by satoshi nakamoto in 2009 (this is a brief understanding)
while ALTCOIN stands for Alternative Coin. where altcoin was created after bitcoin. and also runs on a blockchain network. Altcoin was created as an alternative to a transaction other than bitcoin.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin's price is disappointing!!! on: November 01, 2019, 09:44:35 AM
maybe because altcoin traders don't have any interest anymore. why no interest? because prices continue to fall. make altcoin traders leave one by one. other than that there is no latest update of altcoin that they hold. on the other hand too many altcoins that don't have quality projects on the market. so traders are divided. and most of altcoin is only for making FUD pumps and dumps.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ALTSEASON? are we waiting for nothing? on: November 01, 2019, 08:12:46 AM
When BTC more than $20K again  Grin

Seriously, nobody really knows. I remember people saying alt season will start upon EOS mainnet launch but that never happened. Now, some are saying XRP will rally the altcoins and it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

If you ever plan to go with altcoins hoping there will be an alt season, stick with the top 10 or top 20. Don't expect a 1000X or more from relatively unknown alts.
good, when is the altcoin session? when the BTC session is over and the BTC is above $ 20K. don't expect altcoin sessions to start now. because some pumps from altcoin are just a FUD. and it will not start an altcoin session. still enjoy before bitcoin starts and ends sweetly. and when everything starts, please take your actions.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs ADA on: November 01, 2019, 06:11:00 AM
in my opinion, the best altcoin is Ethereum. because the basis of the project which has supported thousands of crypto projects that exist today. the basic smart contract ethereum has enormous benefits and has helped the crypto project grow rapidly. this is one of the reasons ethereum is the best altcoin at the moment. I think the best investment for Altcoin is in ethereum. because everything about him is amazing progress.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: November 01, 2019, 05:51:03 AM
I think it's very difficult, which one do you mean altcoin solid? Stable coins like USDT, USDC, PAX, etc. or like ETHEREUM, BNB, LTC, etc. for a stable coin, I still have hope, if one day it will be used officially. but for other altcoins, I doubt it. the reason is like bitcoin (anonymous, personal, decentralized, no middle man) and the main thing is the fluctuation of altcoin is 2-5x from Bitcoin. so the state won't allow that.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority of blockchain project has lost focus on: November 01, 2019, 04:04:28 AM
This is not a motive for blockchain technology, but a some person that make use of blockchain technology for scammers. actually the beginning is not like that. in the beginning the ICO project with blockchain technology was going well. because it's still a little ... when developers see lots of successful ICOs, then they compete to make projects. ICO is growing fast. many ICOs succeed but fail in project competition. and finally leave or die. then the scammers start following this. they make projects that will indeed be scammed. so when the ICO was successful, they left. and lost. to date most projects are like that. they don't really focus on the project. but focus on investor funds. so many investors are afraid to invest in blockchain projects.
