261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 12, 2014, 07:18:41 PM
There were loads of items on there but they all expired. If you add a new one to the block chain it should show up there.

Awesome ok, thanks for the info!

Great job Sphericon with Syscoins 1st web viewable marketplace Smiley  http://syscoin.market

wow this is cool!

What am I missing here? It's simply pasted information is it not?

No copy paste. Put an add on the Syscoin marketplace & you will see it on http://syscoin.market

Yes, that's correct. It runs off the blockchain and is completely dynamic. If you want to download the source and work on it (think: improve it), you can clone it from github here:

https://github.com/spherico/syscoin-market

Here's the reddit announcement of it:

http://www.reddit.com/r/SysCoin/comments/2lyi70/first_webviewable_marketplace_utilizing_the/

So, last I checked there were dozens of items in the marketplace, most bullshit items, but none the less, they were there.

This site only has the one item, what gives? Is there some kind of "filter" mechanism getting rid of the 'bullshit' listings?

If I go into my console in the wallet, and create an item, can I count on my item being on syscoin.market? Is there anything special I have to do in my listing to make sure it's there?

Well, bought enough to make today's minimum.

ffmad, when you get a sec, would be cool to schedule a time to talk more with you about what your plans are Smiley

Daily trading volume for bittrex is 0.1btc right?

ffmad, How much time do you need?

Possible to keep bittrex's offer of an extra week "in your pocket" for another week or two?

I'd be willing to keep my buying in on shade to a minimum of 0.1 per day to keep us at the min each day for as long as you need (don't kill me lol, I'm not rich)

Am I right there is discussion of an in-wallet marketplace?
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: November 10, 2014, 04:12:06 PM
There's always been quite a bit of activity in the syscoin threads (dating back to the original ANN)

If there are fellow redditors here, might people be willing to pop over to http://www.reddit.com/r/SysCoin/ and give out a few upvotes/comments?

There's quite a big market of crypto enthusiasts who do not avidly check BCT. They typically stick to reddit and facebook (sadly enough but true none the less, I was one of them)

Another redditor recently posted asking for people to generate more activity on the subreddit, so this is me forwarding said request Smiley (find that post here http://www.reddit.com/r/SysCoin/comments/2lu5sd/lets_see_some_life_in_here_introduce_yourself/)

Nevertheless, I would like to thank developers for their continuous support of this coin. Those who are implying that Sys is over are far from truth. However, we also should be aware of all the negative aspects of current situation. Some ICO coins were successful, some weren't but history of crypto shows us that there was no coin that managed to go back to the ICO price after initial price drop. It is either instant growth or instant downfall. You can have the best technology out there and if there are no pumpers to support you, you will be just one of the obscure coins. We all took that risk, we lost, but as long as the devs didn't abandon this ship. we still have a chance, so do not sell your coins.

Amen.

I've worked my way to be able to forget about the amount of sys I have. My coming back to check on it is purely curiosity at this point. As a technologist myself, I feel syscoin is truly breaking new ground and I am really excited to have been and to be a part of it (as an IPO investor, and supporter ever since).

Cheers to the devs!

Been following this coin for a bit now, and am still very fascinated by it.

I'm going to read into the buy support that is happening, but what else is there to increase upwards pressure or the demand to buy this coin?
270  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: October 28, 2014, 05:21:16 PM
Is anyone else having issues with the way PBMining sends their payments? It's breaking the android wallet
271  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBMining is breaking wallets on: October 28, 2014, 05:04:06 PM
No such options Sad
272  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBMining is breaking wallets on: October 28, 2014, 05:01:22 PM
Now that you mention it though, I'm going to check the setting of the wallet, and maybe there is some transaction advanced settings that might be causing it to "inspect" a little too much? or something of the like?
273  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBMining is breaking wallets on: October 28, 2014, 05:00:01 PM
I doubt it's the wallet, as a few friends use the android wallet as well with no issues. Only difference is, I'm getting PBMining payments and they are not.
274  Economy / Service Discussion / PBMining is breaking wallets on: October 28, 2014, 04:31:06 PM
PBMining sends their payments as a single transaction to all of it's customers. As their customer base grows, this transaction and it's list of receivers grows.

I use the android wallet, and because of this type of transaction, it is slowing down wallets to the point of being unusable.

I know pools payout this way as well, but they atleast group the receivers into groups of 200 or 300 and send out multiple transactions. PBMining does not.

Here is the 10/19/2014 payout with ~1500 recipients
https://blockchain.info/tx/78d0abbc8dab58f78fb88686596e890a2bee71535bf3c34e50750b92f9528fe4

Here is the 10/26/2014 payout with ~2000 recipients
https://blockchain.info/tx/c752c063b9b5b6328844c2eaaf83ddcddc9d535f2279a25bc7c19b72ca0b68a8

I'm currently not able to use my wallet AT ALL. I continue to get the "Bitcoin isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" error message. This has been getting progressively worse and worse the last month to the point that now, my wallet is essentially locked and unusable. I'm not even able to back it up to take the priv keys to another wallet.

Can anyone do something about this? Anyone have a good relationship with the owner to convince him to put a bit more effort into his payouts and make multiple transactions?
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 24, 2014, 03:01:37 PM
It'll be nice when this coin hits at least 2x its IPO......when who knows, but ONE day? lol

good work by the dev team dealing with the moolah fiasco, hoping it works out for the best asap.

I do agree, it will be nice, but I feel the value of syscoin will go nowhere as long as we keep focusing on the price.

"A watched pot, never boils"

If we all can focus on utilizing the newest features put out by the dev team, and bragging to peers about the new features, that is what will cause sys to skyrocket. Then while it is in a skyrocket, we keep our discussion on the value extremely subtle, and continue to brag about features and how we can use it for things bitcoin can't do, that's when we approach leading market cap levels.

The feature set for syscoin is very practical. Atleast as practical (if not more so) than the current arms race towards anonymity (i think it's more practical but that's my opinion, not fact). The main features I'm thinking of as I say this are the marketplace (#1) and aliases (#2).

Very well done and managed by the dev team, yes. But I feel it's about time we (investors and stake holders in syscoin) start discussing what we can do in conjunction with dev efforts.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 24, 2014, 01:04:41 PM
Marketplace? Is it operational and released or still under development?

Its all there on the blockchain, you can sell and buy items already - We just havent got it via a UI within the wallet at present, but thats a roadmap item

At one time one was able to browse through the listings on the marketplace from the wallet. Is that option still available some how right now?
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 22, 2014, 12:56:31 PM
Fibre's site was up before SYSCoin! I'm just astonished at the development you guys are receiving for 2500BTC. For 1 million dollars you would at least expect a site coded from scratch, Not copied from another coin.

If you want to see what real development looks like check out their ANN. Everything was delivered in 2 months. With no ICO or funding.

    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=737771

    syscoin.org was registered on February 19, 2014 , fibrecoin.com was registered on August 21, 2014.

Go fud something else fuckface. and get your facts right while you do it.

2500BTC ?  lol where do you get your information from ? clown.

Ok, you just showed your intelligence level. The date you refer to is the domain registration date.

Please see the below extract taken from the SYS coins ANN.

As you can see SysCoin's website went live on the 7th of September after Fibre's.

So I suggest you get your facts strait before you post comments like the above. I guess membership level has no baring on once intelligence [/list]

Here's what you guys are getting for a few thousand BTC! A 58 dollar template. I hope this is no reflection on the rest of SysCoins development

    http://themeforest.net/item/codeus-multipurpose-responsive-wordpress-theme/6906054

Yea, im pretty sure this guy lives under a rock lol

    1. With the actual development the team is doing, i (as well as others) would be pretty dissapointed if they spent a bunch of time on a website...

    2. ICO funds? You realize 2/3 of these funds were recently stolen in a massive con by moolah correct?

Go attempt to feel important somewhere else you uneducated bafoon.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 20, 2014, 09:15:47 PM
How would everyone feel if pot was to be sold on the syscoin marketplace?

Thinking in 2g and 7g increments to begin with, nothing major, just to begin to piggyback "attention grabbing info" on top of the existing momentum with moolah/syscoin, and to showcase the functionality/benefits of a truly decentralized marketplace (don't even need the Tor browser).

    Thoughts?
looking forward to see dev's reaction, darkSYS  Grin

    You and me both Smiley

    ....for science....of course
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 19, 2014, 09:01:08 PM
Thanks dano. I can definitely see how losing that much of your funds is going to slow things a bit. I was just voicing my opinion that I feel the priorities should also change considering this. There needs to be some real value built here, not a platform/system for incorporating end users in deciding what development to release.

Thanks for that clarification and I totally agree with this sentiment. This is something we'll be discussing on the team call happening in <30min and the blog post tonight will reflect the results of that call and also any changes in course we have planned given all this news. One thing I can't reiterate enough is that we are not_stopping.

This is exactly why I believe in you guys and will hodl until the cows come home Smiley

Looking forward to all updates as usual, and great job communicating all of this guys. I trust everything will be handled appropriately and the decisions will be good ones.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: October 19, 2014, 06:49:51 PM

I feel this should mean the dev's should pick up the pace on the more impacting public facing applications of syscoin. For example, the decentralized marketplace. This would send the practicality of syscoin through the roof and make it no longer "just another alt" (it currently is 'just another' in all reality). With the practicality spike, the price would follow. The price spike would shut up the cry babies who didn't get rich quick, and would satisfy more monetary needs of the dev team.

Designing and developing the release candidate things, whatever they are, has played no role in the practicality of syscoin unfortunately. I don't even understand how it is incorporated to the original feature set we all were promised. My not understanding, is caused by 1 of two things, 1: I haven't read enough (I've been all over the place on the web, in the articles, this thread, the social media outlets, so guessing there is no interesting info on it out there as it's really not that interesting) or 2: it wasn't in the original plan of features.

In other words, with moolah's failures, and money lost, could we get some real feature development now? That will be what increases the value of a syscoin, what you can do with it.

We're working on it. You know that the money lost via Moolah's failings was money intended to directly fuel development. Its natural to expect a slight pause in development from us in this respect as we rework budgets and partner agreements with other parties since our operating capital has been cut by 60% until the resolution of this legal case is seen through to its eventual end.

As stated previously we aren't stopping development, but recent events have had a major impact on our ability to hire new devs, promoters, etc. We are having a team meeting today, and will have an official blog post later today that covers all these topics. Please appreciate the effect losing 60% of funding overnight has- its not something that can easily be ignored even though we will definitely carry on!

Accumulation at these low prices wouldn't be a terrible idea...

Thanks dano. I can definitely see how losing that much of your funds is going to slow things a bit. I was just voicing my opinion that I feel the priorities should also change considering this. There needs to be some real value built here, not a platform/system for incorporating end users in deciding what development to release.
