Today , an IPO / ICO coin is quite rare Can someone tell me why? get back to the POW and POS coins or come up with something new developers IPO / ICO coins are getting reallllllly boring. do pow & pos coins if you want a succesful coin there's no succesful IPO/ICO's out there or atleast, its very rare. if you need money for the development just make a unique idea to do so. Or have a premine but for godsake dont make it to big. The main idea of CraigsCoin is to provide the world with trustless, decentralized classified ads listing. Since everything is stored in the blockchain no entity will be able to delete or somehow edit an ad once it is posted. CraigsCoin is essentially decentralized database of ads that can be implemented on any website or any other third-party technology. 
CraigsCoin utilizes a modified blockchain in order to allow any user to post their ADs directly into the blockchain. Normal transactions between users will be no different from any other coin out there. There will be a "special" wallet that will accept special type of transaction, called ADTX (AdvertisingTransaction). In first prototype version of CraigsCoin ADTX's will have fixed cost (i.e. you can only sent 5 CRAIG to ADTX wallet). This cost is called Listing Fee. In the current build of CraigsCoin listing fee has a fixed value of 5 CRAIG, however in future releases ADTX may be recalculated depending on the price in order to indirectly reflect CRAIG market value. Every message to the ADTX wallet will look like genuine transaction with one exception - this transaction may contain user created message (Ad text). This may be any message from 1 to 10 000 bytes. This message will be readable by anyone using custom block explorer. It is as simple as that. Can somebody tell me, why I would want to put my AD in a blockchain? What is the big advantage? You need to find answer on this question yourself, otherwise you always will be on marketing and PR hook. Many people not enthusiasts, they use things don't thinking about why or which is better, they just using them and thats all. I don't see any huge outstanding advantages, as I don't see reasons, why this project can't grow with time to crypto eBay level. This project will need people, many people, otherwise what the point of an ad site which are browsing just a few individuals. Working, looking nice and user friendly product + promotion, truly work wonders. |

Since CraigsCoin released now and all coins are available for withdrawal, I'm going to bring down node supporting testnet and continue all further testing on mainnet.

We are sick of these ico's also and we are here to change things. We intend to put a reasonable price range for everyone, which might be considered cheap for the plans we are set out to do for this coin. Also, I'm letting some opinions be heard out but there is no need to keep repeating the same things over, which may get moderated for now.
Launch time for PoW will be posted once we set everything up on the escrow exchange.
Then why ICO and not a premine, if you are here to change things? Today you can rent a cloud farm for a day or few and you would not need even a premine. ICO without POD?
Yeah they need a pod POD seems like the new fad. Has cryptoasian had a POD-style check done on himself by someone else? cryptoasian POD does not provide 100% confidence that the coin not turn out SCAME. People feel that the investment with POD is safe but that does not mean that the DEV will not disappear with BTC POD is like police or filter, crimes anyway occures, but that doesn't mean that people don't need it at all. |

The community showed generous support for you in their contributions and you are sitting on 400 BTC, according to you several times greater investment than your expectations, yet without significant improvements to the road map to bring extra value to the coin and its investors.

ICO/IPO coin only benefits Developers by providing instant BTC to them not miners or investors.A few features for one or two weeks and then either dev disappears or coin loose interest. Considering that these so called devs are not coming up with anything new (most doesn't even have anon feature) pretty much makes ICO/IPO nothing more but a tool for scammers to play with. I think if devs are confident in their coins they should invest in them. And they invest in them! Scheme ridiculously simple: DEV launch ICO, invest all BTC in it, get some coins, and... *drumbeat* dumps them instantly after ICO ends. It's no lose game, for him of course. In the end he gets ICO BTC + BTC from selling coins and investors turn to bagholders |
