In the ocean, you see boats cut off, and slide off, while you argue its visual/distance.

There is an experiment that refutes this and further demonstrates the Earth is, in fact, a sphere.

1) Find a flat land patch, say desert, big field, etc.
2) Set a laser 3 meters above the ground
3) Drive in any direction you like for 15-20 KM.
4) Place a segmented graph that is 3 meters tall and see if the laser still shines at the 3-meter mark.

This strongly suggests a curvature earth model. As if the Earth was 100% flat, you'd see the laser at exactly the 3-meter mark.

Anyways the test I have suggested has been done with a perfectly leveled laser. And a 6 feet drop after several miles.
Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVa2UmgdTM4

If the earth was flat, the laser should remain at the exact same level on the boat

I should invent a device that measures angles on a sphere, you guys are a fucking joke.

Also, other flaws are if the sun/moon are holographic projections, and the star is just projections from a concave mirror.
Then what do you think would happen if you shined a really powerful laser at the sky? Since it bounces off the mirror, and you'd see evidence
of this "imaginary" structure.

Something like this:

Flat Earth confirmed.

Just seems to go out one ear and the other, did you even think or ponder "what if" statements to the picture above I have shown?
Because you'd get the same reading of 32 arcminutes. If the sun was twice as large, further away, or 4x as large and even further away, appearing
same size in the sky.

If you can't think, understand simple logic, or even acknowledge the "same perception - same 32 arcminute measurement", then you are beyond deluded and in a world of your own.

However, proving any information to a flat-earther is nearly impossible if not impossible. If you send one on a rocket into space and tell them to look out the window, they will say the windows are screened/faked with a display. If you put in a spacesuit into space, the glass on the spacesuit or they have been drugged.

Also, you don't understand perception, how a sextant works, and angle doesn't measure distance. Imagine the sun was twice as large, but further away.

Sun can be empirically as 32 miles.

The heat production of a 32 mile-object would be fairly immense and concentrated, so during an eclipse, the moon should be heated up and glowing, from being much closer to the object, and from the fact, the object is producing enough heat for that much warmth over a large area.

1. Launch a balloon with your own camera attached to it:

2. Sail around the world on your own.

3. Become an astronaut.

...but the curve is going the wrong way in that video!

The options were flat or spherical, now you've gone and complicated things by offering evidence for a concave earth.

If you understood simple photography, a wide-angle lens can create that kind of curvature. However, proving any information to a flat-earther is nearly impossible if not impossible. If you send one on a rocket into space and tell them to look out the window, they will say the windows are screened/faked with a display. 592  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1000 to spare each month, how would you invest it? on: November 05, 2018, 11:44:32 AM
Hey,

Looking to get some ideas from people so let me begin by explaining my situation:

- I initially invested around $3000 just over a year ago in crypto, which is now currently worth about $1000 (2/3rd loss). I've written this off/left it and am a firm believer the market will one day recover, be it short or long term.
- I then stopped investing early this year.
- I now have opportunity to save/invest $1000 each month (after all my bills and everything are paid for).
- I have $5000 saved in cash as emergency in case I need it.

How would you invest the $1000? Or would you just save it all, or only invest a bit of it each month based on market behaviour? What coins are good to look into investing slowly, with the belief they'll give the best returns if the market properly goes into a bull run?

Like any investment, some carries larger risks, and others smaller risks. Bigger ROI's long-term wise will tend to be of higher risk investments. For example, investing in Bitcoin casino be-the-bank investment pools.

If you had invested in bitvest.io for example: You would have earned about 1.5-2.5%/month on average, which banks can average from 1-3% annually, and stocks as much as up to 10% annually. However, consider the risks, and what is most comfortable for you.
Just-dice for example back in the old days once had a 50,000 bitcoin investment pool. And it swung as low as -9000 BTC, which if the whale had stopped would have been a big loss.
