How can you claim the sextant can't measure some distance if the sextants only purpose is measuring angular distance? That's like claiming a ruler can't measure.

The stars are lights projected off of a concave mirror a few thousand miles away, and thus by extension, are all relatively the same distance due to the mirror. The "red shift" is a theory that assumes the stars are trillions of miles away, their angular size at this distance alone disproves this nonsense. Not only is the distance of trillions of miles assumed but that the so-called "red shift" is caused by the stars being in motion. What if the static model of your bullshit universe is assumed and light has a non-zero mass, then the change in wavelength would be due to the emission of background microwave photons as light from a motionless star loses energy.

Can't you see how fucking delusional you are by claiming you've proven or disproven something by making a bunch of stupid off-point theoretical assumptions? So what if violin strings that are made from cat intestines, that doesn't prove a ruler can't measure!

None of your response deals with the points I made i.e. measuring angular size is impossible on a globe due the horizons curvature. If you send one on a rocket into space and tell them to look out the window, they will say the windows are screened/faked with a display. Explain using your logic, how the same angle to every telephone pole can be maintained while adding ten feet to one of them?

Of you move the pole with the extra ten feet forward it gets bigger and it will have a different angle than the one next to it, if you move it back it gets smaller and the same deal applies.

In the ocean, you see boats cut off, and slide off, while you argue its visual/distance.

There is an experiment that refutes this and further demonstrates the Earth is, in fact, a sphere.

1) Find a flat land patch, say desert, big field, etc.
2) Set a laser 3 meters above the ground
3) Drive in any direction you like for 15-20 KM.
4) Place a segmented graph that is 3 meters tall and see if the laser still shines at the 3-meter mark.

This strongly suggests a curvature earth model. As if the Earth was 100% flat, you'd see the laser at exactly the 3-meter mark.

Anyways the test I have suggested has been done with a perfectly leveled laser. And a 6 feet drop after several miles.

   That PBS/Discovery documentery is a proven fraud (watch the video I linked).

As for the power lines, they curve to the right a bit as they converge, combined with atmosphereic distortion and perspective the so-called Earth curvature is just not there. (^{edit: they may have used a manually calibrated distortion correcting camera lens to distort the right side a bit.}) You're trying to debunk my post on angular size (and defend that PBS/Discovery fraud) with a bullshit illusion that's not about angular size.

Here's a video filmed on the other side of the power lines with a P900. It shows the coastline on the other side, no curve, no hump of water, nothing but perspective and convergence on a plane.
