Yes, the prize is huge if we compare with current value ( Feb 2018 ) but it's difficult to gather people's interest except lowering minimal amount to invest

If you ask me about current bitcoin value, I'm also sad but that the risk when I decide to invest bitcoin.
We gain profit faster either the losses so for now I only can brace myself and try to hold my most of coin since I'm ever try to sell cheap and feel Regret !

For example : with current btc value , I better to keep hold it as long as possible since I'm in loss state ( I'm also holding BCH and BTG as well )

It still brings up the same problem theymos is trying to solve. Many people would simply buy the merit points and continue to post spam all because "they don't have time" to post quality messages. I think the best way is to encourage people not to hoard their sMerit but to award them liberally to everyone who's worth it.
1 day = 24 hour I think it's more than enough to make quality post per hour except you're try to make quality post with 12 account in 1 hour Also I do not think that merit can be trade by money since if they will just go away and never back again, leaving genuine poster only |

Every country have their own economy fundamental so it's difficult to say that we do not need it anymore expect additional economy like bitcoin adoption.

Nobody expect this happen but this is crypto and everything can happen so people who decide to invest bitcoin must aware the risk of it's volatile value !
For me as an investor, I keep hold it as long as possible although the current value makes me sad and become more pessimistic for bitcoin.
But I try to remind bitcoin past year value data and try to gather all of them so I decide to keep hold it because bitcoin will increase in the future !

Well if this really happen, I feel sad but IMO it will not affect to much just like Chinese incident.
India as I know already have many contrary against bitcoin so not all people using bitcoin as main transaction.
All they can do for now is sell or try to move into exchange that still legal to trade because they can't trade on India or they will face the law enforcer !

I don't think that I'm going to win in long term when gambling. The only thing that I'm thinking is that the longer I'll stay in the casino, the harder chance that I'm going to win.
OP mean that why do you keep gambling although you're knowing that you will lose eventually My answer is : greed People's greed is more than anything and difficult to satisfy especially when they become addicted gambler. |

Well as you can see my activity is now 252 which is equivalent to Sr. Member. Since early january i'm excited to become sr member because high rank = high pay in bounty as we all know. But due to merit system is being implemented i dont know when will i be able to reach sr member, but im not against the merit system because i can see the potential of it in the future, to reduce account farmers and shitposters in our beloved forum. I just feel sad because my expectation to become sr member wont happen sooner. Just want to share my inner feelings. lol
People who do not seek a rank, usually merit will come without being expect since their post mostly genuine and not being force by any campaign. But if you're try to seek a higher rank it means that you're try to achieve something , usually higher payrate or account sales , IMO it will be difficult to get merit. Hard to get Merit ? It's difficult : YESIt's impossible : NO |

Government try to regulate bitcoin because they want to control bitcoin in legal way so people who use bitcoin is bad way will experience jail penalty.
Deregulated bitcoin means that bitcoin do not server any restriction so people can use bitcoin without any worry.

If newbie able create a post like Danny Hamilton's post , he deserve a merit but if newbie is just looking for minimal post count because of bounty's need than he did not deserve any single merit (* if he provide low quality )
I think Merit will change forum's quality in the future so let's just see the progress

It's just same case if I'm invest on dollar and if I transfer dollar , they will charge me a fee everytime I transfer.
Just make sure that you realize what have you done.
Once you invest some coin, just hold it or just move to the safest place and wait until it reach higher value.
That's simple thing that you want to achieve is PROFIT !

Mostly people change their thinking way when they want to do the transaction especially daily transaction that require fast and cheaper transaction unlike fiat.
