Just google dtmcnamara, it is my SN everywhere. I have been an Ebay member since 1999, I am a member on hundreds of car forums (S2ki, ImportAtlanta, HondaTech, LS1Tech...) and even tech forums like xda-developers. I have sold everything online from computers, shoes, phones and even a few cars. Everyone who has dealt with me will say nothing but good things.

I have two bad video cards that I purchased in a lot of cards on ebay a while back. I have tried to exchange/fix them via the manufacture but they were both denied so I figured I would throw them up here to see if anyone would be interested in them. I do not know whats up with them so I am selling them as parts with no warranty, you are warned

Card 1:
XFX 5850 Black Edition
Card powers up fan works
No video output
Windows does not recognize it in task manager
No visible blown caps
0.35 BTC shipped

Card 2:
Sapphire 5830 Xtreme Edition
No fan on card at all just OEM heatsink
Card powers up and works sometime but is very stubborn
No visible blown caps
0.25 BTC shipped

I will have pictures of each up later today when I get off of work. Also if you are interested in both I can do 0.5 BTC shipped

189  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Avalon ASIC chip distribution on: April 16, 2013, 02:56:33 PM

190  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official CedarTec Topic - New ASIC [Scam?] on: April 12, 2013, 11:17:56 AM

Using or not using photoshop is not proof of nothing. Like Avalon previous to the shipment, there is not way to know if they are honest. The Cedartec team has answered many questions in this forum, and they sound convincing. Then I have decided take the risk and pay for pre-order. I hope that it will be a good decision. I will write to this forum about any news.

Used the same site above and inserted a picture taken straight from my phone...said it was photoshopped as well...not trying to back these guys up, but just saying that this program is not that reliable.
191  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC Owners (or anyone with lots of FPGA): Cashing out BTC on: April 10, 2013, 08:56:22 PM
this is more a questions about cashing out and making sure it goes unnoticed.

One sure-fire way not to go unnoticed is to ask a question like that in a public forum with a username that is extremely easy to link to real life information such as name and adress.

lol...this is true, but unfortunately I have nothing to worry about. Come to my house, I have a few 7970 video cards and thats it, nothing worth trying to take from me
192  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: One oblivious effect of the price spike on the network hashrate on: April 10, 2013, 08:40:58 PM
When BTC drops to $100 like it just did I wonder how many miners turn their rigs off  Grin

I was thinking the same thing
193  Bitcoin / Hardware / ASIC Owners (or anyone with lots of FPGA): Cashing out BTC on: April 10, 2013, 02:12:27 PM
This question is to the owners of ASIC setups, or anyone with a large hashrate. How do you plan to withdraw your money into your bank accounts without it being seen by the big boys, government? This has been a questions I have been wondering for some time.

Theoretically speaking, if I had 2 Avalon units hashing at 66,000 each I would be pulling in on average 7.7 coins at the current difficulty, $1,900 a day. If I were to wait a week and want to transfer the funds to my account I would be looking at upwards of $9,500. If I were to deposit this every week into my account I am sure someone would notice something and start to ask questions.

I know I could purchase items with BTC, but this is more a questions about cashing out and making sure it goes unnoticed.

I cannot be the only one thinking about this.
194  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Server 2012 Mining - No CL Device - HD7970 on: April 08, 2013, 03:14:05 AM
after hours of searching around I found this fix that is kind of working:

http://www.win2008workstation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2009

I am unable to overclock the card at all, but at least I am able to put this card to use for a little bit
195  Bitcoin / Mining support / Server 2012 Mining - No CL Device - HD7970 on: April 07, 2013, 07:48:07 PM
RIG-
x4 AMD CPU
8GB RAM
SSD OS Drive
Raid card for storage drives
HD7970
Windows Server 2012 OS

Device manager sees the 7970
Catalyst sees the 7970
Trixx sees the 7970

No mining software sees it. Always get a "lacking CL support" or "No OpenCL Device" errors. Is there something I need to do in order to get this card to mine on this machine?

Figured I would use it since its sitting around the house and I have an open slot in this file server.

Thanks in advanace

198  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newegg's got a few 5830's left @ $130 - Great for Mining! on: July 11, 2011, 05:14:22 AM
I got 6 of the 5830s on their way as we speak Smiley should be good for 1400-2000Mh/s (seen some of the sapphires do 250mh/s and others do 300+mh/s)
199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty - I don't get it on: July 11, 2011, 05:11:15 AM
Yeah, even then, it's only a mater of time until my transaction gets mined by an honest miner Smiley
The guy who invented it is really a genius - Edison is nothing next to him Smiley

i wouldnt go that far...but thats just my 2cents
