41  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cloud mining on: December 22, 2015, 12:59:08 PM
I swear.. Renting hash can feel like ill-gotten losses. The whole "Well, the hardware isn't worth the cost of what it can ROI." seems a lot better than: "Throw some BTC in a cloud farm, which are profits to the owner, in hopes of a win."  I'd rather own the overpriced hardware I guess Tongue At worst, you can rent out some of your hash to make up for losses.  At best, you can hit a block and sell the equipment for a decent profit.   Grin

Well when you own the hardware you get bills like this from the power company. Its not horrible, but when your average bill is $75-90 a month then it shoots up to this...lol

Im waiting for the DEA to swing by and start asking questions on why my consumption has increased 10 fold

Ive had some horrible luck. Ran 1PH for 6 hours, 500TH for 3 hours, 100TH for 12 hours, 50TH for 1 day and I've been running a S5 for over 2 months and my best share after all of this has been 0.99 billion...

Cheesy All the S7 shipped out to customers where already mining tested on Antpool and shoud not
affect the hashrate in that way.

I completely forgot about them doing testing, so im guessing its just people throwing miners back online with the prices going up.

You probably got that from a site that doesn't understand statistics Tongue

Id say something closer to 11-18% is what id estimate. But then again it could be more, with the prices going up more people are turning machines back on, that and the S7s are still shipping to people.

Most of the "I wanna start a pool" people have no idea at all about all that, and think that the people who do run good pools are sitting back drinking Martinis in the Caribbean Tongue

WHAT?! You guys arent? I thought running a pool was a 100% way to "get rich quick" with no work involved other than the up front setup....lol
